Hi,
You have formatted your phone.
Therefore you have no system.
So,it won't boot up.
Flash a GB ROM.
ARHD 3.6.13 is HERE
Or if you want ICS and not Gingerbread:
- Flash the 3.32 firmware > http://d-h.st/afS (Put it in the root of your SD card, boot into the bootloader and press volume up.)
- Flash any ICS ROM you like. I recommend ARHD if you want a enhanced stock experience. > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849
Go to sense-o-maniac website, download 3.32 firmware there and ics sense 4.0 or 3.6 your choice. I'm using sense 4 rom and working great.
Sent from my Sensation Z710e
merci pour le partage!

you have formatted your android os so its not booting up.. install any stable rom .. I prefer ARHD or ELEGANTIA with Sense4 and ICS
I am using ELEGANTIA ICS Sense 4 on my Sensation Z710e and its working great , smooth and is stable for me..

Now that you are on ICS.. You have 3.32/3.33 firmware already
And also you are htc-Dev unlocked
You can flash roms and root the current stock rom just fine without soff...
If you want custom roms.. Follow asskickars "Flashing roms with SON" present in sensation general section to the letter.. You will come out fine
If you just want root on your current stock rom.. Then use my one click root tool.. From my soff guide (skip the soff part)... Link in my signature
The only thing you can't do is flashing firmwares which is not really required unless you have reception issues

adb/fastboot folder is the folder which has adb.exe file. as you did HTC-DEV unlock ..you will have it either in c:\Android-SDK\tools or c:\Android-SDK\platform-tools
check it
otherwise ..skip step #3 and step #4 then assume the current extracted folder as adb/fastboot folder and do the rest of steps

sorry if my previous post is confusing
adb folder -> the folder which has adb.exe is called adb folder -> in your case you got that in C:\Android-SDK\platform-tools ..so the platform-riules folder is the adb/fastboot folder
now follow the rest of steps ..ie from step #4

Search the index thread in the development section for another hboot version: 0.98.2000 or 2.00.2002. Flash one of them via the method described in its thread. Then do the "PG88IMG" again

Go here and use the PG88IMG.zip attached.
If not working go here and follow the guide only for the hboot part.
Then you will have a different version of the bootloader. Run the RUU after that and you will be back to Stock (use the same RUU that your region/brand/version is)
I had already used the first file to make the flash manually, but it did not work ... you suggest to flash on ADB?
In this case is more complicated for me because I'm no expert ...
But in my situation the problem is this h-boot 6.98.1002 ?????

ok right now you are using ARHD 6.6.3 right...then do this
get 3.32 firmware (PG58IMG.zip) from this thread
to install:
1.put the PG58IMG.zip file (don't rename the file after download) on the top/root of sdcard
2.boot into bootloader
the bootloader finds the file and asks you whether you want to update or not...say yes
3.once update is done...it asks you to reboot ...so reboot
4.now if phone reboots properly...which it should....then immediately delete the PG58IMG.zip
by using any file explorer
if the phone is still bootlooping...the remove the sdcard and then go to bootloader
if its still bootlooping then join the irc..ill help you further
It does work
I can't add any more information than anyone else has other than to say that following a carrier repair my phone came back with 1.27 and I'm happily back onto ARHD; these forums are a god send!

Mate these are not RUU, they are just a reference, for example v3.32 is an RUU, Android Revolution HD, Elegancia etc are Custom ROMs based on v3.32 RUU, that's why they mentioned it in there respective titles. Majority People don't flash RUUs, instead they flash custom ROMs made by the devs, they modifies the RUU, and brings it for us with various fixes and Enhancments. I hope my brief post will help make it clear for you.

If you want to flash RUU, Refer to This Guide, and follow the steps carefully, and i think you can go to Sensation Android Development and choose to flash the custom ROMs, in my opinion they are highly enhanced for performance, use Insert Coin or Virtuous Inquisition instead.

You seem to know ur stuff im hoping you can help me.
Brand new stock Telstra HTC One XL (Australia)
Unlocked & rooted, TWRP recovery.
Backed up stock.
Installed a few different ROMs before deciding on one.
Accidentally reset factory from hboot instead of twrp.
Lost stock ROM back up.
Mounted USB & copied custom ROMs back across to sdcard.
Files did not appear on sdcard.
Decided to partition and try again.
On sucessful partition, suddenly all files became visible, despite partition warning "all files will be deleted"
Flashed Viper XL successfully.
SDcard total storage reading as 24gb (32gb stock)
1. if i have done anything to reduce my available storage i want to get it back.
2. id like to go back to stock rom and basically start from scratch with clean stock backup and clean storage.
I found a link to the ATT One X stock rom on the US HTC support site.
I cant find anything similar on the AU site for the One XL.
I read i have to re-lock my bootloader, thats fine i found a tutorial, but i need to find the stock rom.
Also i have no understanding of RUU nor do i have it downloaded.
EDIT-
I have just downloaded RUU Evita UL Telstra WWE 1.89. 841.9 Radio 0.18c.32.09.01 10.9 3a.32.20L release 266699 signed .exe

This is sensation only forum.. But as the question is kinda generic I can help you
Now if you want to go back to stock then options are
1. Restore the stock backup (which you've lost now)
2. Flash a recovery flashable zip (just like a custom rom zip) of stock rom (which makes it almost stock)... You need to find it in the Sensation xl section of xda
3. Flash a ruu..Use this guide as reference http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26541170 (everything won't apply for you.. But almost 90% of it applies)
As for sdcard data loss.. Backup the current contents of sdcard and do a proper format of the sdcard using sdpartitioner(a good tool for formatting sdcard in windows)
Btw I don't understand why you need a partition of sdcard

It was suggested to me by a mate who has more experience with android than i do.
Thought it might be a good idea to put the back up / roms there.
Just found it odd that after mouting and transferring them, they didnt actually become visible until after the partition was created?
Thanks for the rest of the advice i'll give it a look.
I replied to you here knowing its a sensation forum only because when i searched this was the only relevant thread i found.
I found this tutorial and have followed it to step 5. the point of flashing the recovery.img but i get "error; cannot load recovery.img"
1. Download the correct RUU for your device and carrier!!
2. Charge the battery above 50% or for at least one hour. If the battery dies during the flashing process, you could hard brick the phone!
3. Run the RUU until the wizard comes up. While the RUU wizard is open, find the temporary folder it created. (Open Explorer in Windows and type %temp% in the navigation bar.) There will be two folders with long encrypted names. In one of them you will find ROM.zip. Open it with 7zip and extract recovery.img. Put it in the location were you've installed Android SDK tools. This is the stock HTC Recovery and it is needed to run the RUU.
4. Boot the phone into bootloader (power off, hold down volume and press power) and highlight FASTBOOT using the volume rocker and pressing power. Then connect the USB cable. You should see FASTBOOT USB.
5. Open a command prompt in Windows and navigate to the folder where you installed Android SDK tools. Flash the stock recovery extracted in step 3 above using the following command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
6. Relock the bootloader using the following command:
fastboot oem lock
7. Re-run the RUU. It will restore the device to it's original condition, locked (though *** RELOCKED ***) and unrooted.
Once the install is done you'll have unlock the bootloader again using the token you already have from the first time, reflash CWM Recovery and re-root. All this will be 10x easier than the first time.
If you do re-root your phone, be 100% you backup the stock ROM in ClockworkMod Recovery before making changes!

Hi. I'm new to HTC Sensation XE. Yesterday I just decided to root my Sensation XE phone so I went to htcdev.com to unlock bootloader.
Everythings went well, I managed to install Clockwork Recovery to my phone and able to install Superuser.
Bad things happened when I try to install CyanogenMod 9 through Clockwork Recovery. I put the rom into SD card, boot into Clockwork and then wipe data/factory reset plus wipe chache partition. Then install ZIP from SD card.
After "install complete" i reboot my phone and now I see CyanogenMod logo looping and stuck there.
I still can get into Clockwork and try install other rom but the Cyanogen logo also comes back everytime and stuck there.
I just found out that I have to do S-Off ?? I have no idea what to do next.
My previous phone was Nexus S. I installed many custom roms on that phone without any problem. As far as I know if I can get into Clockwork Recovery, my phone has been rooted, right? So
What is S-Off?
Why I have to flash firmware??
ROM for Sensation compatible with Sensation XE?
I am not familiar with AROMA installer, is this the problem I can't install ROM successfully?
Now my phone in HBOOT says:
***UNLOCKED***
PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
eMMC-boot

Please help me
First, you should check the guide on how to flash roms s-on or something. It says you have to push the boot.img in adb, i think.
Sent from my Sensation using xda premium
get the boot.img from the cm9 rom zip file
copy it to the adb/fastboot folder in your pc
connect the phone in bootloader to PC (phone should read fastboot usb after this )
now open command window in the adb folder and type this
fastboot flash boot boot.img
once it got success
type
fastboot reboot
your phone should boot fine now

SOFF: is security off ..once you got this off ..you can change any partition ..like you can install a custom recovery like cwm..over stock recovery ..and custom roms too
but ..HTC-DEV unlock ..is a alternative provided by the HTC ppl ..where when you do unlock ... recovary partition and partitions to make a custom rom work ..got unlocked ..thus this way you can flash cwm and thus custom roms ..
firmware:
to explain that ..think like this ..the complete phone is
hardware + firmware(radio +hboot/bootloader + some others ) + recovery (stock/custom) + ROM (system +data + boot)
now to have a ICS rom ..you need to have ICS firmware ..thus ICS radio (to have good signal) ..and ICS compatible bootloader to have ROM up and running
(remember if you have HTC-Dev unlocked bootloader you cant change the radio and hboot/bootloader)
as you are on ICS priror to doing HTC-dev unlock bootloader ..you are fine now ..as you already got a ICS radio (starts with 11.2x ..in settings->about phone->more->software information->baseband) ..also the hboot/bootloader 1.27.xxx is of ICS one ...
so you are fine with installing any custom roms ...
now there is a little headache when installing custom roms ..via custom recovery in case of HTC-dev unlocked case
some how when you flash a rom ...via cwm..every thing gets flashed except the boot.img which is the primary component to get the phone booting ...so you need to flash the boot.img separately ...that i explained earlier
there is a good recovery which can avoid the extra pain too ..that is 4EXT and the feature is smartflash
to understand the functioning of this recovery
have a good read of this thread ...its for you

Thank you. That's explain a lot. Now I can boot into Cyanogen and everything is fine now. So one last question, Am I have to push boot.img via fastboot everytime I install a new custom rom? If so, what to do when dealing with rom with AROMA installer?
I tried roms with AROMA installer and the installation ends at "SuperWipe". Nothing seems to install to my phone.

yes as long as you have cwm recovery ..you need to do that ..for every custom rom
and
thats why im saying its best to have 4EXT recovery ..as most of roms are 4EXT recovery compatible ..and what more its base is CWM itself ..so what ever backups you made via CWM can be used in 4EXT recovery ..too (and also its touch recovery )
for 4EXT ..recovery ..check the above guide step #2 for installing the 4EXT recovery
step #3 ..which has an amazing feature ..which will be quite useful to you ..(smart flash)
step #5 ..which makes the smartflash permanent

Hey guys, I have tried to install Cyanogen 9 and I'm having the same issue described here - I get stuck at the Cyanogen 9 screen.
Can I get some help? I have tried to reinstall the boot loader as described but that didn't work.
I have also tried to reinstall the rom and that didn't work either :/
I'm really worried and would appreciate any help.
My phone is also a sensation XE I have rooted it and my recovery works with the 4EXT.
Thanks!

Sr, but i want to ask something.
Firstly, i have the zip of rom ViperS_1.6.3.
And when i extract it i just found the file boot.img (4,78MB). this file can not extract any more.
Secondly, "adb/fastboot", Will i create new folder with this name? or this folder existed?
if i must create a new one, Window does not permit to name the folder which the name has /.
Finally, you said that from adb/fastboot folder opened a cmd window and type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
i do not know how to do that.
Please show me the specific steps to follow.
Thank you so much, my experts.

then from that folder press shift + right click
you will see an option open a command window here

i suggest to make a full wipe from recovery
then reflash the rom again and the boot.img
if you want another rom from viper team check viperS 5.2.1 rom
link in my signature
the procedure is the same as you did with 1.6.3
by the way since you are on S-ON i suggest to change your recovery to 4ext
it has a feature which is called smartflash
this feature is doing exactly the job what you did with the boot.img
so you don't have to do it by yourself:good:

the backup is located in the clockworkmod folder in your sdcard
from 4ext go to backup/restore->restore if you want to restore it
