Mate these are not RUU, they are just a reference, for example v3.32 is an RUU, Android Revolution HD, Elegancia etc are Custom ROMs based on v3.32 RUU, that's why they mentioned it in there respective titles. Majority People don't flash RUUs, instead they flash custom ROMs made by the devs, they modifies the RUU, and brings it for us with various fixes and Enhancments. I hope my brief post will help make it clear for you.

thanks mate , totally cleared

Glad it did clear your query...if you need original RUU (exe) files, You can grab it Here. It contains the latest RUU as well..

Just want to clarify...so to install a RUU...do I need to have CWM already installed or can it be on stock recovery? I am already S-off...and I've changed CWM to stock recovery....and superCID to the Tmobile one....if I want to flash the TMOUS RUU...is that all I need to do...just run the RUU?

If you want to flash RUU, Refer to This Guide, and follow the steps carefully, and i think you can go to Sensation Android Development and choose to flash the custom ROMs, in my opinion they are highly enhanced for performance, use Insert Coin or Virtuous Inquisition instead.

You seem to know ur stuff im hoping you can help me.
Brand new stock Telstra HTC One XL (Australia)
Unlocked & rooted, TWRP recovery.
Backed up stock.
Installed a few different ROMs before deciding on one.
Accidentally reset factory from hboot instead of twrp.
Lost stock ROM back up.
Mounted USB & copied custom ROMs back across to sdcard.
Files did not appear on sdcard.
Decided to partition and try again.
On sucessful partition, suddenly all files became visible, despite partition warning "all files will be deleted"
Flashed Viper XL successfully.
SDcard total storage reading as 24gb (32gb stock)
1. if i have done anything to reduce my available storage i want to get it back.
2. id like to go back to stock rom and basically start from scratch with clean stock backup and clean storage.
I found a link to the ATT One X stock rom on the US HTC support site.
I cant find anything similar on the AU site for the One XL.
I read i have to re-lock my bootloader, thats fine i found a tutorial, but i need to find the stock rom.
Also i have no understanding of RUU nor do i have it downloaded.
EDIT-
I have just downloaded RUU Evita UL Telstra WWE 1.89. 841.9 Radio 0.18c.32.09.01 10.9 3a.32.20L release 266699 signed .exe
As per the info in hboot.
Thanks in advance.

This is sensation only forum.. But as the question is kinda generic I can help you
Now if you want to go back to stock then options are
1. Restore the stock backup (which you've lost now)
2. Flash a recovery flashable zip (just like a custom rom zip) of stock rom (which makes it almost stock)... You need to find it in the Sensation xl section of xda
3. Flash a ruu..Use this guide as reference http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26541170 (everything won't apply for you.. But almost 90% of it applies)
As for sdcard data loss.. Backup the current contents of sdcard and do a proper format of the sdcard using sdpartitioner(a good tool for formatting sdcard in windows)
Btw I don't understand why you need a partition of sdcard

It was suggested to me by a mate who has more experience with android than i do.
Thought it might be a good idea to put the back up / roms there.
Just found it odd that after mouting and transferring them, they didnt actually become visible until after the partition was created?
Thanks for the rest of the advice i'll give it a look.
I replied to you here knowing its a sensation forum only because when i searched this was the only relevant thread i found.
I found this tutorial and have followed it to step 5. the point of flashing the recovery.img but i get "error; cannot load recovery.img"
1. Download the correct RUU for your device and carrier!!
2. Charge the battery above 50% or for at least one hour. If the battery dies during the flashing process, you could hard brick the phone!
3. Run the RUU until the wizard comes up. While the RUU wizard is open, find the temporary folder it created. (Open Explorer in Windows and type %temp% in the navigation bar.) There will be two folders with long encrypted names. In one of them you will find ROM.zip. Open it with 7zip and extract recovery.img. Put it in the location were you've installed Android SDK tools. This is the stock HTC Recovery and it is needed to run the RUU.
4. Boot the phone into bootloader (power off, hold down volume and press power) and highlight FASTBOOT using the volume rocker and pressing power. Then connect the USB cable. You should see FASTBOOT USB.
5. Open a command prompt in Windows and navigate to the folder where you installed Android SDK tools. Flash the stock recovery extracted in step 3 above using the following command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
6. Relock the bootloader using the following command:
fastboot oem lock
7. Re-run the RUU. It will restore the device to it's original condition, locked (though *** RELOCKED ***) and unrooted.
Once the install is done you'll have unlock the bootloader again using the token you already have from the first time, reflash CWM Recovery and re-root. All this will be 10x easier than the first time.
If you do re-root your phone, be 100% you backup the stock ROM in ClockworkMod Recovery before making changes!

[GUIDE] A must read for those noobs who want to enjoy ICS

Hi, I have seen a lot of noobs are having boot loop and other issues to install ICS. Therefore I am creating this thread for those rookie users who wants to use ICS on their Sensation. I have tried to put all the thread links which are enriched with such information. Hope this will help all the rookie sensationers.
Firmware flashing, Radio Flashing and Custom ROM installation are risky and may brick your device if you make any mistake or if there is power failure. I am not responsible for any damage caused to your device.
I am assuming that you already have S-OFF and a suitable custom Recovery installed. (CWM or 4EXT etc). If you are not sure then you must read this thread. Be very careful while perform any task related to S-OFF and custom Recovery installation.
Learn basic ADB (Android Debugging Bridge) command. A good adb how to can be found here in xda.
Please note that all ICS based ROMs require the new firmware V3.12 and above. I would recommend the latest firmware V3.32 to flash .This is the latest stable release from HTC. This firmware is not backward compatible. Remember if you do not flash this firmware and install ICS ROMs , then you will have boot loop.
The official HBOOT version in this firmware is 1.20 or 1.23, or 1.27.000 which are locked. This deprecates some extended HBOOT commands like flashing radio, splash image etc. Mike1986 has posted a patched firmware V3.32 with HBOOT 1.27.1100 Revolutionary. This removes those limitations.
******* Note: Very few users reported that even after flashing v3.24 firmware , they got bootloop. But when they flashed v3.12 firmware, they were fine. So if you fall into the category of those very few users , then try to flash v3.12 firmware. Some users pointed out that the HBOOT 1.27.1100 was the actual reason to cause the bootloop. So another solution is to replace the patched HBOOT 1.27.1100 with the older HBOOT from V3.12 firmware package. Recently released firmware V3.32 and V3.30 have the same hboot v1.27.1100 Revolutionary as in V3.24. So who ever got bootloop with V3.24 , they will be still in bootloop with V3.30 and V3.32. The advice is same . Just stick to V3.12 firmware or replace the HBOOT of V3.30/V3.32 with the HBOOT found in V3.12 or the official untouched HBOOT V1.27.000 released in untouched V3.32 firmware. Few users got ARHD 6.5.X working with V3.12 firmware too. So you can also have a try.Remember v3.12 firmware is compatible for both Gingerbread and IceCream Sandwich. But the GB ROM must be sense 3.5 based else again you may get bootloop. *******
If anyone wants to update to official untouched firmware V3.32 with HBOOT 1.27.000 , they can follow this thread.
V3.12 Firmware can also be downloaded from the same thread.
Before you begin to flash any ICS based ROM, please flash v3.32 firmware. This firmware package includes a good radio. So no additional radio flashing is required. If any ROM suggests specific radio, then you have to flash it separately.
EDIT:
New firmware V3.32 is out with release of Android Revolution HD 6.5.1 by mike1986. The firmware has minor changes from the V3.24 . Sense 3.6 based ICS ROM willl work with this firmware. ASOP ICS like Virtuous is also working. Firmware v3.32 posted by mike1986 has the same patched unlocked HBOOT 1.27.1100 as in V3.24 . So extended fastboot commands are available.
1. Firmware Flashing:
Do a NANDROID backup after booting into recovery. ( Switch off your phone. Pull back the battery. Wait a minute. Put your battery back in the phone. Press POWER+VOlUME – Key together. Wait till the bootloader is ready. Select Recovery by pressing VOLUME- key. Then Press POWER button.)
Download the right firmware from this thread.Check the MD5 checksum of your downloaded file to be 200% sure that your file is not damaged. (To see md5 checksum of your downloaded file in linux environment open terminal. Navigate to the directory where your file is downloaded by typing :
$ cd /home/your-username/Downloads/
Change the directory address as per your download location
Then type :
$ md5sum yourfilename.zip
This will return the md5 checksum value.
In windows environment download md5 checksum calculating utility from here or here . Install it and check the md5 checksum value of your downloaded file.
Now you can compare this value with the value given by the actual uploader of the file. It must be matched else redownload the file. )
Read the thread thoroughly and follow every required step to flash the firmware. Do not skip any step. While flashing firmware follow the onscreen instruction on your phone. After flashing firmware, do not forget to delete the firmware zip file (PG58IMG.zip) from your sdcard root.
Remember restore of NANDROID backup will not restore your firmware. I am suggesting it if you want to go back to your original state then you can restore it from the nandroid backup but only after downgrading your firmware into original one.
2. Custom ROM installation:
Download the ROM of your choice. And follow the specific flashing information for that specific ROM. Generally the method is as follows.
a. Download your custom ROM.
b. Check the MD5 checksum of the downloaded file to be 200% sure that your downloaded zip is not damaged.
c. Copy your ROM on the root of your SDCARD.
d. Boot into Recovery.
e. Do a nandroid backup. If anything goes wrong
f. Do a Superwipe.
g. Install your ROM.
h. Install the specific radio if required.
i. Reboot. Wait atleat for 7 to 10 Minutes for firstboot.
j. Enjoy your cutom ROM.
A good guide for ARHD ROM can be found here. If you want to use ARHD 6.5.X then flash V3.32 firmware.
REPEAT:
******* Note: Very few users reported that even after flashing v3.24 or V3.30 or V3.32 firmware , they got bootloop. But when they flashed v3.12 firmware, they were fine. So if you fall into the category of those very few users , then try to flash v3.12 firmware. Some users pointed out that the patched HBOOT 1.27.1100 Revolutionary was the actual reason to cause the bootloop. So another solution is to replace the HBOOT 1.27.1100 with the older HBOOT from V3.12 firmware package. Recently released firmware V3.32 and V3.30 have the same hboot V1.27.1100 as in V3.24.
3. BATTERY CALIBRATION:
After you install a Custom ROM you should perform battery calibration. To do this, charge your battery till 100%. I suggest to install app Current Widget and Battery calibration. When the current widget shows 0mAH current draw, your battery is actually charged fully. Now you can boot into recovery and then remove battery stat form the tools menu. Alternatively you can do it with Battery calibrator app on your phone itself.
Once you have calibrated , remove the charger and keep your phone into sleep for at least 1 to 2 hours. After this use your phone. I am sure you will get a good battery life.
4. ICS PROBLEM FIXES:
Read this thread. Search the forum before you post any question. May be your question has already been answered.
5. ALL NOOB QESTIONS:
Still you have questions?? Post your question in this thread.
6. REGARDING FLAMING, POSTING NEW THREADS, AND MODERATING TECHNIQUE
Please read this thread to know how to post or reply in a thread.
7. SENSATION THEMES :
Themes related post can be found in this thread. But remember most of the themes are ROM specific. So before you install very sure that it is supported by your ROM.
8. SPLASH SCREEN , BOOTANIMATION, BOOTSOUND, AND DOWNANIMATION
For splash screen customization read these threads.
a. Linux Splash tool and flashable splash.zip
b. [UTILITY][v1112.3]MySplash - Splash screen backup and flash program for Sensation
c. Change the White HTC Splash image to what you want
d. The EASISET way to flash splash screens
e. Bootsplash, bootanimation, etc
For Bootanimation, downanimation and boot sound follow these threads.
a. NEWii bootanimation "Ice Cream Sandwich"
b. |BOOTAnimation| from HD video - qHD + bootsound
c. Bootsound for ARHD 6.2.1
d. |BOOT & DOWN Animation| HTC Black
9. REVERTING BACK TO GINGERBREAD:
If you feel that ICS is not your cap of tea for time being and you need to go back to Gingerbread, then you have to downgrade the sensation firmware.
You can downgrade to v3.12 (for sense 3.5 based GB ROM only) or to v1.17 for any GB ROM.
Firmware v1.17 does not include a radio. So your present radio will be preserved. If your custom rom suggest a different radio, you have to flash it separately in fastboot mode.
You can download these firmware here. Please follow that thread for flashing instruction.
TO FLASH RADIO VIA FASTBOOT:(Remember this method will work only if your HBOOT is unlocked; official HBOOT 1.20 is locked where as Revolutionary HBOOT 1.27 is unlocked)
Download the required radio. If it is in zip, extract it . You will get a file radio.img or similar. Put this file in the folder where fastboot and adb binary is present. Generally it is in the 'platform-tools' folder. Now,
a. Connect your phone into a PC, and make sure that USB Debugging is enabled
b. Click "Charge Only". on your sensation.
c. Open a command prompt.
d. Start adb by issuing "adb start-server"command. (If you are in windows environment you have to go to the directory where adb binary is present; normally it is in 'platform-tools' folder)
e. Type: adb devices
f. If it lists your sensation, then you are connected to your sensation via adb.
g. Type: "adb reboot bootloader"
h. Once your phone is in bootloader (white screen with text), type "fastboot flash radio radio.img" . Change radio.img into your-file-name.img if required.
i. When the flashing completes, type "fastboot reboot"
j. Done. Enjoy!

Thanks for pointing out though I have already mentioned it in custom rom installation section. Now I have edited the firmware flashing section.
Now if only you could get noobs to actually read it BEFORE they brick their phones. Wouldn't that be something? Nice write up though!
Besides the MD5 check, this is one of the most complete how-to's in the sensation section. thanks mate.

This is very helpful. Just have one problem. I know I'm super Cid. Advanced showed me11111111. Went to firmware guide and don't know which 3.24 download to use. I guess it would be the one in the HTC column or in the T-Mobile column. Any ideas?

You will not lose root. And also you will remain s-off. Your root access depends on the ROM and it's kernel you are going to use.
But remember if you flash official ruu you will lose root. Your custom recovery will be over written by the official one. But again you will remain s-off.
As you are having supercid , you can choose any v3.24 firmware package from the list. But chose your firmware depending on your service provider.if you are a Tmobile customer choose Tmobile firmware.......

Also, add that supercid needs redoing sometimes even if one done it before or it shows as supercid. Especially after flashing firmware.

opps, I posted a question. I did not see the link.

Help please!

I have been at this for 5 hours straight and I just can't find a SOLUTION...I've READ A LOT before posting this question...and still I can't find anything to help me. So can someone PLEASE HELP if you can. I will be as detailed as i can. I will start off with my phone specs and so forth: By the way i am on GB 2.3.4..
LOCKED
Pyramid PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT- 1.27.000
Radio- 11.22.3504.07_M
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0131

Okay, i wanted to download the ELEGANCIA ICS ROM but before i could i had to download a FIRMWARE PACKAGE(or just firmware). So i downloaded the Firmware from 3.32 RUU which is for the ELEGANCIA ROM...By the way, I DID THIS BEFORE I INSTALLED the ELEGANCIA ROM(i hadn't downloaded it yet..elegancia rom) I followed the instructions how to flash it. It said it would tell you what to do next..so i did it. Went into Recovery and flashed through sd and installed the ZIP file and when it asked if i wanted to udate it i pressed Yes...and then this is what HAPPENs NEXT.
It ask if i want to update and I do and then it says:
Parsing...[ SD ZIP]
[1] BOOTLOADER - Ok
Update Complete...
Press POWER to reboot.
So i press power and all it does is: BOOTS up and then TURNS OFF
It continues to do that...I believe it's called BOOT LOOPING.?
I pull out the battery and press VOL. Down plus POWER at the same tiime and it takes me back to the WHITE SCREEN and I see FASTBOOT, RECOVERY, FACTORY RESET, SIMLOCK and IMAGE CRC but does NOT let me choose. It automatically goes to HBOOT.
I have to pull battery or it will continue to BOOT itself on and off again. Even with the phone off, I connect it to my usb connection on my laptop and my device does not show on my laptop. Both the usb connection and usb cord are working properly.
That is my BIG PAIN in MY ASS right now!!
Can someone please help me.?
You will have to make your phone Super-CID or download the correct firmware package that fit your CID.
Super-CID makes you able to flash any firmware package etc.

You stated that your ROM was GB and that's not supported on the 3.32 F/W.
Download your ICS ROM and mike's SuperWipe script from the ARHD thread.
Copy them to the SDcard via the PC and a USB <-> microSD adapter.
Delete the PG58IMG.zip file on the SDcard.
Boot the phone into Bootloader, get into Recovery, SuperWipe and flash the ROM.
You also have a locked version (1.27.0000) of the HBOOT, I suggest at some stage installing an unlocked version (1.27.1100) from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767

Don't bother restoring to stock, waste of effort.
Read my previous post.
1. Anyway, did the ICS F/W update work ?
2. Is the PG58IMG.zip file still on the SDcard ? If so rename /delete it.
3. Get your chosen ICS ROM and mike's SuperWipe script onto the SDcard.
4. Go into recovery and run the Superwipe script then flash the ROM.
Steps 2 & 3 you'll need to use a PC to do these with a USB <-> microSD adapter.
I am assuming that there wasn't a typo in your original post in that you actually have HBOOT 1.27.0000, this is ICS ONLY firmware and GB won't work on it.
BTW what recovery have you got ? CWM or 4EXT ?

I just tried it and the phone is ON NOW BUT it is just on the White screen with the Green HTC letters. It has been on for 15 minutes already...By the way, I DO NOT have a microSD adapter. I did it by getting into CWM and going to Recovery and going into mounts and then i mounted it and was able to install it like that. Is that the reason why it is still on the White HTC screen? Do I pull the Battery?
Another thing I still haven't flashed my ICS Rom because when i DID Mike's SuperWipe it did it's thing and just automattically went to the White HTC screen.
No, there is NO TYPO, that is exactly what it says. I believe i still have CWM and I remember tthat I had 4ext to.

So precisely what have you got on the SDcard at the moment ?
PG58IMG.zip ?
SuperWipe.zip (or what ever the name is) ?
ICS ROM "zip" file ?
Edit: If you used the superwipe script you have no OS on the phone and will NEED to flash an ICS ROM through recovery. It shouldn't have gone to the white HTC screen just returned to CWM. If you don't have an ICS ROM on the phone's SDcard you can try adb pushing it or possibly use another device that has microUSB capability.

What I have now is Superwipe.zip and ICS ROM.zip. I deleted the PG58IMG that I had on the SD Card before I did the SUPERWIPE.
I pulled out the battery and got into recovery and installed from sdcard and I went to install ICS ROM and it started but then it said ABORTED. Tried again and said the same thing.
Should I try another ICS ROM?
What about not having the PG58IMG?

TMOUSA Sensation 4G help

Alright guys I got s-off and thats about it. I want ics on my phone but once I update to the nnewest firmware and flash an ics rom it stays stuck on white HTC screen. I've had to use RUU twice because I can't load a recovery without updating firmware and once i do that my phone does not boot. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get ics on my sensation 4g?
Make sure you get SuperCID so the firmware update goes through. If you don't have SuperCID then it can look like it updated but it actually fails.
Once you get the firmware flashed properly, you have to delete or rename the firmware zip from your SD card so that you can access recovery.

The problem with this might be which version of htc sense was cooked into the Rom you are using. If you are using a android 4.0.3 rom with sense 3.5 then you need firmware package 3.12 because sense 3.5 needs HBOOT 1.23, and sense 3.6 needs HBOOT 1.27 so you would use the 3.24, 3.30, 3.32 but again it all depends on what the chef has built from if the chef used a 3.5 sense in the rom then that might be your issue.
If not try to just start over, completely format your sd card, then put your rom, supersipe, and firmware on sd card.
1. install firmware from recovery once installed pull battery out and remove sd to take off the firmware file,
2. reinstall sd card, boot phone into recovery- go to install from zip and run the superwipe script once it finishes it will reboot into recovery.
3. then install the rom of your choosing and see if that works.
I use the energy rom series and flashed over from GB using the instructions i found in that forum, it does get confusing if you have not do it a million times....hope this helps ICS is awesome...
I want to super wipe but I'm not sure which one to download. Also guys, I'm on stock tmobile usa rom. No custom rom

Stock is not needed.
You need to ensure that F/W and ROM are compatible. I.e. ICS 1.27.xxxx F/W WILL NOT work with a GB ROM, and GB 1.17.xxxx WILL NOT work with ICS.
Flash the F/W, if not already done. Can't remember what you are on.
SuperWipe (from Mike's ARHD thread).
Flash your chosen ICS ROM.
Pop out the SD card, reboot insert and then delete the PG58IMG.zip ONLY if you flashed the F/W.
Deep joy.

[Q] Please help me fix my sensation xe!

Hi, firstly I apologise for being an idiot.
I rooted my XE last week and have been trying to install ROMs onto it since. I followed numerous guides (not very well apparently) and still cannot get it to work. The problem being every ROM i try to flash after it has installed, during the reboot the white htc screen comes up over and over again.
I've tried numerous ROMs, stock ROMs and nothing has worked. I tried to locate the original backup I made but it seems to be gone too
Any help would be appreciated, otherwise I've blown a couple of hundred quid.
Do you know how to run a log cat and post the results as this would help people help you better. But then again there is always the option to just download the correct RUU for your Sensation, flash the stock ROM with it, and then start all over.

What / how would I start all over if I had the correct RUU and ROM (both of which I think I have). The RUU is an exe file? Is that correct and the ROM I just put on the root of my SD?
Grrrrr. I feel very stupid, usually nae bad at techy stuff!
Yes the RUU is a .exe file that will flash the stock ROM to your Sensation, notice I said stock ROM wich means you will not be rooted anymore, you will have the stock recovery again, and you will more than likely be S-on again. This is why I said you would have to start over again if you use the RUU.
The ROM does go on your SD card but if it is a stock ROM you will have to have the stock recovery to flash it, if it is a custom ROM you will have to have S-off and a custom recovery.

Yeah I'm pretty sure it is! PG58IMG?
When I run the RUU it comes up with current image version: 1.73.401.2
Then when it goes to update the ROM it comes up saying unknown error 155, wrong RUU???
It sounds like you may have the wrong RUU, who is your carrier and what is the region did your Sensation originate from. This is the information you need to get your correct RUU.

Ok if it is from the UK you probably need the "RUU_Pyramid_O2_UK_1.34.206.1_Radio_10.43a.9007.00U_10.51.9007.27_M", you can find it here. Remeber you will have to have the HTC Sync drivers installed on your computer, and you will have to boot into the Hboot then the bootloader and connect your Sensation via USB to your computer before running the RUU.

[Q] Flashing RUU on s-off?

Didn't find to much related to specifically to what I want to do.
I was tinkering with my software and messed something up and won't boot.
I can seem to find a strict stock rooted rom from t-mobile
Can I do the following without messing up my phone?
I already have s-off and twrp and a none working rom.
I want to relock bootloader, flash ruu
unlock again and flash recovery and root file.
I think this should work without messing up the phone and I should still have s-off right?

I've ran an RUU a couple times and still had S-off when it was done. It should not impact that at all.
Or you can skip all that and just flash the t mobile ROM in the dev section.
But, yeah, you will keep soff through the ruu
HTC_One_S | S-OFF | ViperOneS_2.2.0 | Black&Blue_Inverted_Sense | Bulletproof_1.4
Inverted Sense _4+_and_5_click me
No need to relock bootloader if s-off. You should flash stock recovery so and use a CID according to your RUU file.
Stock recovery not needed.
Just ruu away
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One S met Tapatalk
Oooh
I also thought too you needed to re lock to flash a ruu.
I guess that is only if not s off then.
Just need to match cid though still.
SCID will work with any RUU. But you shouldn't use it if you insist to upgrade by OTA... Some people reported a brick this way.
Updating EU RUU from 2.31.401.5 to 3.16.401.8 (going from a CM10.1 version)
Well here is what I've done if it can help some. No warranty that it'll work for everyone, but let's go:
First thing : I've started with CM10.1, S-OFF, SuperCID (11111111) and TWRP 2.5.0.0
I DID NOT relock the bootloader and NOT put back the original Recovery
1) I've put back my original CID (EU Bouygues eg. HTC__203. You should put your original one). Fortunately, I had the original mmcblk0p4 file backup (just copy back the original file to /dev/block. See here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26516911#post26516911).
2) once my original CID has been put back (still S-OFF and TWRP and not relock), I've started in bootloader mode the RUU_Ville_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.31.401.5 and let things run
3) after the installation and reboot, I went to Parameters/Update/Check to force the JB update 3.16.401.8 download.
4) I've let the JB update to be performed (several reboot): all went fine. Going into fastboot, I'm still Unlocked / S-OFF / HTC__203 (original) / Radio 1.11.50 and HBOOT 2.15.000. Sounds good !
5) I went back into fastboot to re-flash the TWRP 2.5.0.0 (fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.5.0.0-ville.img)
6) I then reboot into Recovery : now TWRP is back ! In TWRP, try to reboot into bootloader. TWRP will warn you that you're not ROOT and suggest to install root on your phone. Hit YES.
7) Reboot normally your phone : you should have now a Super SU Installer icon in your apps. Open it, choose install via TWRP, and you're good to go! You've now the latest HTC JB sense version with root.
Optional :
-You can perform a full TWRP backup (with Sense/original CID) in case of further HTC update (?)
-You can put back your SuperCID if wanted
Now if you want to test the CM10.1-3.4 kernel here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2302248, it's booting fine (after full wipe)
Voilà !
Hope this helps
yeah
with the tmo model I can get the JB ruu right from HTC
I have just been having issues that I want to get stock and maybe root.
Will double check CID and just flash then.
I think hboot and radio on jb equivlent already but will try that.
Thank you
I wanted to post a little warning here, and relate what happened with my RUU update. First, I'm unlocked, s-off, Hboot 1.13.0000, superCID (11111111), running TWRP 2.5.0.0.
So I read somewhere that the latest RUU may not install correctly if on an older Hboot so I fastboot flashed the latest 2.15, no problems. Then I found a decrypted ROM that Hasoon2000 had posted thinking that this would give me the firmware I wanted, I believe this was based off of RUU_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_Radio_1. 11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release. I then Fastboot flashed: (I didn't relocking bootloader or changing CID but I did first flash stock recovery because I wasn't sure it I needed to or not)
1. fastboot erase cache
3. fastboot oem rebootRUU
4. fastboot flash zip "name of ROM".zip
The script ran and everything flashed successfully, so I reflashed TWRP 2.3.3.0 and the phone booted just like stock ROM. At this point I checked the Hboot and it was 2.04 something! with a 1.11?? radio. (So this told me I likely wouldn't have needed to first flash the 2.15 Hboot not sure about this tho) I then tried to restore my backed up SDcard and here is where I ran into problems. My SDcard/internal storage only had 48.6MB of space! Nothing I did would change it I worked with this for several hours last night before giving up and this morning I thought to try running a different Tmobile RUU. Found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2250573 and downloaded this Firmware package: http://www.filedropper.com/firmware_1 and ran the same fastboot commands (changed recovery back to stock which I probably wouldn't have needed to do...??) and everything flashed perfectly (I needed to run the "fastboot flash zip firmware.zip" the second time, which is normal). I now have my SDcard back with Hboot 2.15, radio 1.13, superCID and s-off yet, "hopefully" am ready to flash the new 3.4 updated stuff!
I suspect the reason for my problems lay in my flashing a euro ROM/RUU, but I really don't know that for sure. This is just what happened to me. Hope this helps a bit!
i believe i have an issue that is too challenging for me. i flashed the lates trickdroid and for some reason i couldnt get my radio to show. my baseband version was unknown. i tried to flash a new radio tto no avail. finally i flashed the jb ruu and now the rom will work for a couple of minutes and then reboot still with unknow baseband radio version. im s off with super cid. any thing to help woul be appreciated.

Interesting thought... Try a cm based ROM. They use a radio in a different system folder. If it still doesn't work, sounds more like a hardware failure.
