VOIP Using Vonage - Anyone have it working?

Hi All,
I've read and followed all the directions for adding Internet Calling support to my HTC TyTN II with Windows Mobile 6.
So far, no joy. Vonage doesn't appear to let my phone connect over WiFi.
Has anyone had any luck recently getting this to work? I would appreciate any help available.
In addition, I tried using Fring. It will accept incoming calls, but outgoing calls constantly fail to actually work, with no errors in Fring.
Thank in advance,
Anthony

Voice over IP is Flaky

I am trying to get VOIP to work on my Fuze, and it has just been one problem after another. But my main problem is that it seems to be flaky I think it disconnect from the VOIP but still said it is connected. So i can call out and it reconnects and it all works. But no one can call in and i haft to go in to the phone settings and then internet turn it to off then back on again to whenever avalible, then they can call in for awile untell it disconnect again.
When i reset my divice sometimes is comes back on as connected and other times it come back on disconnected and i haft to go back to the phone setting and turn VOIP off and on again.
Is this a problem for everyone, or just me?
Oyeah i am using sipgate as my VOIP provider
Any Help would be much appreciated
Anyone have any suggestions?
bad connection? Mobile/3G/2G connection or wifi?
hard reset?
It might be a bad connection I will also do a hard rest.
So do you have any suggestions, if it is a bad connection. So it will automatically log back in what the connection is available again.
I am using Internet Calling 21109 to hack it. and then using a program call Sip conf tool to setup my VOIP settings. Is this the best way to do this or do you suggest something better?
Thanks

I'm having the same issue you are (I'm using wifi). I'm playing around with some registry settings trying to fix it - will let you know if I find something that helps.
I'm also using the same tools to set it up as you are - and those are indeed the best ones.
Good to know am not alone with this problem. Hopefully we can find a solution.

Who is your service provider? Are you on ATT? And if you are on ATT, which ROM are you using?
VOIP on Windows Mobile
I have struggled for two years trying to do this, with countless releases. I eventually just bought a second wireless voip phone that works great, and was inexpensive. Not a great solution. I can get it to work, however the call quality is terrible, and the client is flaky as can be. I also dont like the way the dialer makes you select voip or provider and then stays on it. I have tried a few third party software apps such as fring, and Xbeam, and these worked a whole lot better. In addition, most voip clients are speaker only. You can use a bluetooth headset, and that helps alot. I guess what I am trying to say is that unless you love endlessly searching for a solution, or are hell bent on getting this working, I would save your time and work on something else. PM me and I can send you the info on the phone that I got.
Break out the Head & Shoulders..

the problem with VoIP is that Voice travels over IP networks in packets in the same manner as data, so when you talk over an IP network your conversation is broken up into small packets. These voice and data packets travel over the same network with a fixed bandwidth. So its unreliable and doesn't provide a mechanism to ensure data packets are delivered in sequential orderhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VoIP#Challenges
wish i had real info for you, i was listening to an Adam Corrolla podcast and he was going off about VoIP.. If you were fortunate enough to be connected to a DS1 line aka T1 line, you wouldn't experience the $hitty quality.. but they cost several hundred thousand..

I wouldn't mind going 3ed party,
I tried some a wile back but the problem i ran in to was that nothing else interfaced with them. Like in my contacts if i said call this person it would use the build in phone software not the VOIP software. I am not sure if there is a work around or not for that.
I think it was skype and Nimbuzz
it seemed like nimbuzz got it to work in the normal speaker. I will haft to go back an check

Wifi blocks incoming calls and sms!! - BUG????

Hi
Im having a strange issue that i only just noticed and was wondering if others are having the same problem.
It seems when i am connected to either 5ghz wifi AC or Wifi 2.5gz N,
My phone refuses to accept incoming calls, will call out just fine but will not let me receive.
when I turn wifi off calls come through OK, Just wondering if there is someone who can help.
Update - I have re-flashed both kernel to stock - same wifi being on blocks incoming calls.
I have re-flashed the ROM - again, same issue Wifi seems to interfere with incoming calls and sms. -- Will not receive anything until I disable wifi??
I have also just booted into Safe Mode and the same problem still exists - Wifi is blocking incoming calls, but i can send sms and calls while being on wifi.
Is this a Bug!!! should I report this to CM - could some one else please try this process.
I have also checked and double checked my APN settings and they are correct.
Will do a complete factory reset and see if problem still exists.
UPDATE 2
This has to be a bug I have factory fastboot.zip'd back to XNPH22R
and the wifi bug is still there!
Thankyou in advance
I have the same problem, for which not received a call on the job.
How to solve it? help
I realised my APN settings it was also using 4g but my provider doesn't do 4g when set to 3g only my problems went away.
What Rom are you using? That would help.
Stay to the latest version of the rom
Sent from my One A0001 using Tapatalk
I changed the sim card and the network, the problem is solved.

Problem with Push-to-Talk voice messages in Viber

Hello,
I'm not sure this is the right section to ask for help about my problem, so please excuse me if its against the rules.
The problem is that voice messages in viber do not work over mobile data. When wi-fi is on, everything works fine, but on mobile data alone im getting constant errors when recieving or sending voice messages.
This is the error I get when recieveing a voice message:
Oops...
An error has occured while downloading the voice message. Please try again.

And this is when I try to send a voice message:
No Connectivity
An internet connection is required to complete this action. Please check your connection and try again.

As I said above - all works fine when I use Wi-Fi, so at first I tought its because of the mobile network. Checked my speeds and everything is normal for 3G connection. Tried to manualy change from Auto to 3G and then to 2G (4G is not supported here in Bulgaria), but it didn't help. I also tried to clear cache and delete data for Viber, still not working. Even after factory reset of my phone it still not working.
The phone is a Sony Xperia M2 updated with its original 4.4.2 software (its not rooted!) and viber is updated to the last version as well. Mobile provider is Mobiltel (Mtel) Bulgaria.
Any ideas how to fix are appriciated! Thank you!
