Go to Settings > About device > keep tapping Android version
[For 4.x users]
Press and hold the android..
And watch all the androids take over your screen
This should work on all phones running Android. I am aware that some know about this, but for those who did not know.. enjoy!!
The jellybean version is also funny. You can interact with the beans and flip them away off the screen :silly:
Would be nice if they put more easter eggs in the system

What a waste of memory xD lol i love android <3
I get a picture of zombie art
Sent from the darkest part of your closet
It might be rom based (Need confirmation) as my stock gingerbread sense rom had a different easter egg than the cm7 which is the zombie art.
Also this didn't work on a MIUI XJ rom which suggest the eastern eggs are rom based and can differ from one android version to another or similar. (Again, need confirmation.)

No, I believe the point was to teach an Android trick. This trick on any gingerbread rom and upper version that supports it.
And also as you can see from the screens you might get another easter egg on another rom should its creator decides so.

Its a 1.5/1.6 launcher that works on 2.1+
so you get the old school pull up draw with the 1.6 tab.

I was pretty excited about this, but sadly I get a "launcher+ has stopped working"message on my g2x running AOKP 4.0.3. Any thoughts?
Great work! I haven't seen any launchers like this before, with a pull-up app drawer. My phone is a low-end model with 278 MM memory and ARM V6 processor so I prefer apps which don't require quite so much in system resources. From what I can see, Donut launcher uses about 10 MB less memory than Go Launcher Ex which can make a difference on my phone.
Although I had one FC soon after loading this launcher, I don't know if the issue was because of a widget or not. Since then I haven't had any problems.
I have some questions for the developer:
(1) are you going to keep going with this launcher, or was this a one-off effort?;
(2) if it's called Donut, why does my phone refer to it as "Launcher+"? Is this left over from the original project?;
(3) was the original project released under an open source licence? If so, will you be doing the same?

Donut is an old version of android its what the G1 had and the launcher here is a themed free launcher called launcher + with graphic changes to look like Donut launcher.
Not the developer but a simple question to answer
Sent via the valley of the shadows.....
Thanks to those who replied so quickly. I'm generally quite happy with a low-tech launcher so Donut looked interesting. It runs fine on my phone of course but I don't think it will be my main launcher.
I know you made this real quick but it badly needs updating with HDPI images to make using it worthwhile.

Wow sorry for not replying didn't know people used this.
No more work will be done on this as I'm on jelly bean and it doesn't work and would take a while to get it working.

EDITED 12/2/2011
NOTE - The Pro version, ICS+, is now a key! You must install ICS Launcher to continue using it. This new system will prevent many errors from occurring, such as "Duplicate Provider Authority"
FINALLY! Here is the latest and greatest update! Not only is it rebuilt, it is redesigned and based off our not-so-far away launcher called Omega.
The latest build brings tons of new settings and advancements. It also received new scrollers so it should be buttery smooth now and not choppy like it was before. lol
Anyways, APK is available on syndicateapps.com and the Android Market.
ICS Launcher V1.4.0.0 - Most stable and most featured packed version released
Market Link - https://market.android.com/details?id=mobi.SyndicateApps.ICSv2&hl=en
I am not allowed to post a link to the paid or pro version because it is against forum rules. So, if you enjoy this launcher please consider donating or purchasing the paid version which includes many new features! :-D

Don't worry. honeycomb launcher is still being worked on. we are actually building a tablet version because many tablet manufacturers want it pre installed on there tabs since they can't get real honeycomb due to the devices not being up to standards. lol.
update this week hopefully! if school doesn't keep me too busy :-/
1.13ghz.Droid Incredible 1...197mb free ram,270mb free app space
In the running apps: Sms says device not supported, email-gallery-music all force close, and system settings does nothing. When you have the app drawer open and go from portrait to landscape it closes the app drawer and vice versa.
Mytouch4g running latest Miui
It looks really unique!
The only think lacking is the electric blue theme. The icons are a little blurry too.
Force closes on launching from "Running Apps". I dislike the font though.
yes, the running apps panel is not done. it is taken out of HCL because I am not sure what the real running apps looks like for Ice cream sandwich. I know the buttons force close for many of you because the package names for all devices are not in there.
after school today I will make an update of it and repost the apk.
Looks good
The dock background seems kind of unfinished though, as do other things as well such as the multitask button. Just polish it a bit and it'll rock.
Also, change the icon, it looks horrible

This works for a few things.
This method works for quite a few system images, not just the lockscreen. The problem is knowing which images to change in which folders. I would love to have some kind of annotated list from a handy website. I found something similar for editing Windows resource files where everything was numbered and mapped for convenience, but I haven't found anything like it for Android. Does it exist?

Quick Update:
Turns out that on my Galaxy SIII, with the Jelly Bean based CM10, while over writing the Framework-res.apk, it causes the ROM to crash. I tried this same method on the Ice Cream Sandwich CM9 and it worked like a charm. I have a feeling that the ROM, since it's still in an Alpha stage caused the crash. Once a better and more stable version is released, then I'll test it out again
I'll try to make the tutorial either this weekend or the next for the ICS based CM9.

For any of you out there who have yet to get the update to KitKat, one of the cooler things in my opinion was the clock app. Spent some time backporting it to run on Android 4.0+ this morning for another project I'm working on, but I figure everyone out there can use a little bit of KitKatty goodness in their lives!

If you've got any questions, let me know. I honestly haven't tested it more than letting one alarm go off after I set it for 5 minutes later, but I don't see there being any giant problems preventing you from getting up in the morning
Just know, I did have to take out the widget, just simply because I didn't have time to mess with it and it used a ton of newer API stuff.

Try clearing data for your clock app. That worked for me.
Works perfectly on samsung galaxy grand 4.2.2

Installed correctly on my X8 running unofficial 4.1.2 but the only thing that is not working properly is the multiple cities time. All are showing the same time in main window even though it is showing correct time while selecting cities.

It works on my stock 4.0.4 unrooted Galaxy Tab 10.1 I have some screens here.
I have the same bugs as some other people have reported as well, there's an H instead of a number (it should be 18 or 6)
Seems tablet optimised somewhat already.

Same hours bug here... Samsung Galaxy S3 4.1.2
Works fine s3 4.3 rom

Hmm the H must have something to do with 24 hour clock vs 12 hour. I'll look into it and see if I can fix it up today sometime. Thanks for testing it out for me guys!
Updated OP with a fix for the "H" showing in the clock instead of the hour, should be good to go now for those of you using the 24 hour clock format on your device.

Fixed )) Thank you, great job!
Sorry for bothering but is there a way to make this system clock app... not just system app, like main clock app

I'm not sure quite what you mean... I renamed the package so that it doesn't override the stock app, but if you want you could just install it to the system folder and delete the old one I guess. Don't see any problems with doing that.
Everything is working properly on Xperia Z with stock 4.2.2, but there is still the H symbol bug when the alarm time is shown on the lockscreen or homescreen widgets:
