I have a friend with a similar problem...
So what happened, did you take it to Samsung Service?
hi guys,
i have a real problem here my windows phone (samsung omnia) is stuck on the pc/zune connection screen.
I attempted a firmware rollback that has failed! how on earth can i get this unstuck?
i guess the phone is totally bricked and i will just have to go to my service provider store for them to sort out!?
help! thanks
Manually install drivers, plug in, wait a bit.
Thanks but Sorry i have absoloutly no idea how to do that!....
Ive just got back from the store, my phone has now been sent away for "repair" under its 12month warrenty, i didnt go into huge detail about the recent update problems nor did i mention the rollback software issue as i felt it unncessary in light of the more current "BRICKED" issue that has just happened. I just explained that the phone has been "acting-up" lately and now it has completely deemed broke... (the phone turned on as far as loading the samsung omnia screen and then it just dies)... goes black screen and hangs.... nothing else...
Anyway, i was told they would either repair or replace -- im hoping the latter! of course as anyone (most) people would want in this situation.. my concern is though about what firmware they will put on it? its an samsung orange omnia, so surely being that it is going to be sent to samsung factory will it end up having the i8900 Mango firmware loaded onto it or the crappy i8700 Mango firmware i think i had before?
and secondly, if it does come down to a replacement (oh no! ) are samsung omnias even in the manufacturing process any longer?.....
what happens if they cant get hold of another one?... i mean that New Nokia Windows7 phone would be a more than adequete replacement in my eyes
its looks sweet!
hi everyone,
im really new to xda so im not sure if this is where i should be posting this but hopefully someone can still help me out..?
well i bought this verizon s3 off ebay about a month or so ago- refurbished for a fairly cheap price, and it was running fine the whole time. then one of my friends told me about custom ROMs and how easy it was to get. He told me to root my device and he would do the rest. After about an hour i got root access through saferoot and was quite pleased with myself. I didnt give it to him yet, and i havent installed any ROMs myself either (A couple days went by waiting for his response) when suddenly my device started lagging quite a lot. I just quickly closed my apps and pressed restart, and now i cant turn it on!
Apparently i couldve bricked it? i know i potentially voided the warranty but it was past a year already. i dont understand how it couldve happened, nothing happened during the rooting process- everything went very smooth. So what can i do now? Is it bricked? How can i unbrick it? Is it the battery? the screen? the power button? It doesnt boot AT ALL. no vibration, but the red LED lights up when plugged into the computer WHEN THE BATTERY IS OUT.
Im really at a loss here so any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Okay so I broke my screen 6-7 months ago. My father's friend repaired it, worked fine until 2 months ago. It just stopped, when I tried to turn it back it just showed me the "Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500" white letters, then disappears, comes again , after 2 sec disappears until battery runs out. I put it on charger , shows the green battery like charging , same thing , disappears appears. Btw I'm from Macedonia, so in my town no 1 could fix it. I gave it to my fathers friend (the one that repaired my screen). He probably lied us after holding it for a month, saying that he hasn't got the tool for the phone, some tool to heat something in the phone enough. So we went to our capital , but not on service where he said, but another one (again fathers friend). The guy repaired the phone , to work , but you can't call. You have the (\) thing on the phone , where the network is. He told my dad that it's something with a chip. Something that they people where I bought the phone should repair. So it only left to repair the network thing. My father goes there and gives the serial number , just like the guy said. The 15-digit number. They say that there has to be a chip thing , on the back under the battery, where is one white thing on the phone that has the "GT-I9500" , serial number. I don't have that one , it is removed by the guy who repaired the screen... 6 months ago when he gave us the phone repaired he gave us another piece, but gt-i9505 (only the screen without components on the back, and it had the white thing stick to it but not mine , but from the i9505. So now if you can help me? This is funny, I wrote so much but I hope you can help me and read it. They said It has some chip there Idk, but I told them the 15-digit code from the warranty list. You can also find it there , on the back, but I don't have it. So should I ask the guy that repaired my screen, what he did, or take it to Samsung? Would that cost me much, or I can repair it at home with applications on pc or something, as far as I've seen. I would be really thankful if someone reads this, and helps me,
Kind Regards,
Chris

Hi, i dont know if anyone can help me here but i have a water damaged Samsung Galaxy s6 and i need the pictures off it ASAP. Luckily i work in a repair shop so i have taken apart the phone and cleaned it and everything seems to work other than the screen and the sound. I have looked online and seen that the screens are well over the £100 so i am not willing to spend the money. All i need is the pictures of it.
Samsung Kies recognizes the device but either says failed to connect to the device or just keeps saying connecting i have all my ADB drivers and stuff so I'm looking for a way i may be able to access the photos using commands for example.
Any help is great as I'm stuck at the moment.
Thanks, Shaun
