i9003 wifi problem

I have a big problem with wifi connection... it's very slow to connect and often don't work...
there is a solution... some system file that i can replace (copyng fron i9000).
My firmware is KB1.

Absolutely no problem with Wifi. whether on DDKB2 or XXKB3. May be check your wifi encryption mode.

i change wep in wap/wap2-psk all my wifi encryption mode.
I try to update to xxbk3? You think that solve the problem??

In XXKB3 a lot of bugs was solved. I think you should try it.

im having wifi issues too!
im using kb2 and i always disconnects in our wifi...
other deices like our laptop doesn't disconnects, only my galaxy sl.

I use WEP encryption,
64bit encryption strength,
network authentication: open
The most important part, specify your MAC address in Wireless - Mac filter of your modem/ router and select allow.
You can check your MAC address for phone by browsing to Menu> About phone> Status>WI-Fi MAC address.
Restart your modem and scan wifi from phone when you see SSID select it and enter the 64 bit assigned key.
Thats all. All the best.

Wifi driver problem
I have DDkb2 firmware, whenever i try wifi on i get wifi related in logcat after 5 seconds as per default wifi supplicant scan interval time , i try to change this interval time by modifying build prop file , but it can not change, wifi running good but write error -- wpa_driver_tista_rssidata error.

I have flashed my phone to XXKB 3 but noting happens.....
my phone can't detect any wifi connections, while other nokia phones can

DDKF1 WiFi Issue
Guys, I updated to DDKF1 (recently released for India). And the WiFi just not working! Same configuration/credentials had worked on earlier version
Anyone who have had same problem; please help!

I'm from India using SGSL , after recent update I have problem while connecting my phone to wifi router . Before update (in july 2011) it was working fine . Can anyone help me in fixing the issue.

Flash to a more stable firmware like kb3 or kph.

Trip, do not use WEP encryption in this day and age, one can crack it with widely available tools in mere seconds. I'm using WPA2-PSK with AES encryption (D-Link DIR-655) on my phone (XXKPH firmware) just fine. If there's a problem it might be one or combinations of the following:
. Firmware issue
. Incompatibilities between wireless access point and your phone

What firmware did you flash? I have some problems with the Gingerbread versions of Android. If you flashed XXKPH or JPKP5 try to connect to your router and ping your router ip and some external ip (like google DNS 8.8.8.8). If your router pings well and you have about 70÷80% lost packets while pinging external IP. you have the same problem as mine. To solve it you can:
1. flash Froyo
2. change your WiFi router (I've tested 3 routers and I have problems only with 1)

I am on ddkf1 and have this problem from starting. However it is better than ddkb2.
In my room wifi in sl works at will as it will connect/not connect/disconnect at it's discretion. And my laptop n other nokia phone works without any issue.
Should I update to xxkb3/kph or show it at the service centre.
Please suggest as it's driving me crazy now

Don't update id you want to sure it to three service center. Also, try nagging the phone forget the wi fi connection and set the password again. This worked for me!

Reverse usb tethering(sharing internet connection on ur pc to i9003) beta 3

I found this helpful information to share with you
This guide will only work if you have rooted your device and with a Windows PC. We will not be liable for any damages arising from your use of this guide. Use the presented information at your own risk.
Remember that the tool is still beta software, so expect a lot of kinks and bugs. You can surf using Google Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Dolphin Browser,GOOGLE PLAY MARKET although Google Chrome complains of not having an Internet connection even though it works. Ping and low-level ICMP packets don’t seem to work either.
Requirements
A rooted Android phone
Desktop or laptop computer running Windows
Working broadband Internet connection on the desktop or laptop
Android Software Development Kit (SDK) installed on the desktop or laptop (optional but recommended)
Instructions
1) Download the reverse tethering tools from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=829285&d=1324833033 and save the file to your computer. The ZIP file contains AndroidTool.exe (Android USB Tunnel tool for your Windows machine), ADB, and the Android APK (Beta Android USB Tunnel tool for your Android phone).
2) Extract the ZIP file to a folder on your computer.
Enable USB debugging on your phone by going to Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
3) Go to the folder where you extracted the ZIP file’s contents.
Run AndroidTool.exe.
Connect your phone to your PC using a USB cable.
In the Android USB Tunnel window, click on the Refresh Devices button.
From the list on the right of the detected devices, select a Domain Name Server (DNS) to use.
4) Click the Show Android Interface button. This will install the app and other needed binaries to your phone.
If the Superuser app on your phone asks whether to allow “USB Tunnel,” choose to allow the app. If the process crashes after receiving Superuser rights, close the Android USB Tunnel Windows application and repeat the procedure from the start.
5) Click on the Connect button on the Android USB Tunnel window on your computer.
6) Again, if the Superuser app on your phone asks, choose to allow “USB Tunnel.”
Congratulations! You have successfully reverse-tethered your Android phone to your PC.

I made this thread just to help others,which i found on the net...and it is not my creation...LoL...

U should give the original developer a credit on ur thread at least..

Its an opensource so finding the exact developer is impossible for each version...And i dont have benefits in posting this thread...............................................

Yeah it works fine , having been using it since a few weeks.
But I need Reverse Wifi Tether.
I believe it was possible to enable AD Hoc for Wifi connections for Froyo a few months back.If you have any way to get it working for this device , Pls share it , would very much appreciate it.

When i press connect it will connect but after a couple secs the app force closes .Why is it happenning plz send me the FIX .

you should try connectifity (windows 7) to sharing internet connection via wifi

any new upgrades?on stock firmware with root the game don't see the connection fot the download of the files :/

currently this release supports browsing through android
web browser oly

but with the ics rom on my i9003 i could download sd files for the games :/

nope.
Also can play youtube video and play game online such little empire and paradise island. And can download sdfiles to but it depend your modem connection

Reverse tethering now made simple!

This is for those who want to connect to internet using pc without wifi!!!
There were several threads about reverse tethering that required windows essentials,that were still in beta version.Foll all the guys who wanted this a new app in market has been released!!!!
Search the market for "reverse tether"!!! (SORRY THIS IS MY 1st POST.SO I CANT PROVIDE LINKS)
Just follow the instructions wich should really work.
if not,**try bridging ur android network and ur pc network.if stiil doesnt work,unselect
*appear as 3g
*notify me when connected!! I assure u this will definitely work!!!
The application is a trial version wich can be accessed between (11:00 - 15:00),,,if u wish,the full version is also available!! hope this post helped!!! NOTE:FOR ROOTED USERS ONLY!!!

problem is all cm7 for my mobile have usb tether bug .. and the app doesn't work with wired tether app ;(

When you say without wifi. Do you mean the PC and phone don't have wifi working radios? Because if they do and you have a wired internet connection just use connectify. It's free and works great. I may have misunderstood the purpose of the thread though.

After reviewing the app I guess I don't see my personal usefulness in such an app unless either the PC or phone don't have functioning wifi radios. Which I could see in a desktop. I do however see the usefulness on connecting to a PC to use it's internet. Clearly this app is for others that do require this function.

I tried but it throws me an error "failed to start tethering. Make sure that this device supports or allows tethering". How can I fix this. I use LG GT540 with Cyanogenmod7 2.3.7

first verify wether normal tether(easy tether.apk) works...if not u will hav to download usb drivers for cyanogen(google it)....make sure ur rooted!!!

I'm starting to think is my celphone model, I waited for the "legal" hour and nope, I changed the hour on my pc, and nothing T-T, and it's rooted and so. But as I said, maybe is my cel, galaxy ACE with gingerbread 2.3.4

There's no need to download it from me*fire since a tusted and up-to-date APK file is available for download right from the developer's website.

problem
I upgraded to the latest one today and it seemed to start working. After running the program (I had it set to control 3g....or make apps work as if it saw 3g), it won't let me connect to v* with networking. Voice and sms works fine, but the 3g/1x doesn't work at all.
I'm going to try to restore from a backup and see what happens. Anybody have any ideas?

Not sure what happened, but I restored from a clockworkmod recovery backup I did earlier today (before I used reverse tether). Luckily, this seemed to get my network connection (3g/1x) back.
Reverse Tether is a great idea and it's really something I need, but I'm a little leery about using it now since it messed my 3g connection up.

Drivers and tethering problem, windows xp.

I tried installing both cynus t2 and t1 drivers by turn both help a kind of four detecting the phone. But I can't seem to do tethering :/ either it shows usb device not recognized or the network doesn't acquire ip address. What's the matter? Tethering is working fine on a Windows 7 and 8 based laptops respectively.
Anyone got any experience in this regard?
And if I try to set static ip myself, what ip and gateway etc to set for tethering connection.

Yeo, I got that problem too. Switch from "USB storage" to Media device and Camera. While switching it will install drivers for each mode. This worked for me.

Same problem was faced by me.
But I was unable to use phone net on pc running on windows 8. Though it was fine on windows7 (haven't ever used with xp).
AND THE SOLUTION WAS ALSO SAME THAT I OPTED FOR MODEM CONNECTION
B/w you said that you were able to use on windows 8?? Have you done any special settings or something?
