sup peeps ive been with sprint for years and its time for a change and im looking for something reasonable but at the same time something reliable...my main gripe with sprint was the data speed my price was affordable ect.... but the data eventually got tiresome so therefore i my eyes are on the one x but i dont wanna jump ship if at&t is not for me and i live in vegas by the way!! just looking for some feed back as far as service customer service ect.... make known if you live in vegad also or even cali or arizona thank you!!

You can't go wrong with the HTC One X on ATT. Do it.
I jumped ship for the same reasons. Sprint was cheap but service/speeds in Hawaii suck.. So I bit the bullet and for about $20 more a month I get way better service/data speeds. All depends on your area I guess.

AT&T is known to have the WORST customer service out of all of the carriers...so...yeah....
Personally I would choose ANYTHING but AT&T....the only reason why I am sticking is because my family can't be bothered to move to a different carrier and I'd rather pay my portion of the family plan and deal with at&ts ****...
Just a heads up...
What trips me out about the bad rep that various carriers get regarding customer service is that regardless of which I've tried I've never had the same experience. I count myself lucky i guess (I've had sprint, Verizon, T Mobile and AT&T), as I typically set things up and forget it until upgrade time so my exposure to their customer service reps it's very limited.
That said I bought my one x just before a 10 day trip to Vegas with a 2 day stint in Williams AZ at the end of May. Couldn't have been happier with the service throughout my stay there. Service and speed was fine for me (stayed at the venetian but drove around North LV, Warm Springs and Henderson).

Never had a problem. I live in the OC as well. In the heights near the 60 freeway/beach blvd. Always have service, even LTE. Never once lost LTE coverage since i've had the HOX. Been to Hollywood, as far as San Diego, Huntington beach. The coverage really is great. I don't know why people talk so much crap on AT&T. My speeds are 12-20 Mbps consistently.
EDIT: the customer service at every store i've ever been to (roughly 5) as well as over the phone has always been great. I brought in my first HOX because the wifi broke from me flashing it. 10 days past my 30 day return. Took it no questions asked, replaced it free, not a refurb.

had tmobile for 9 years, never had any reception problems until I switched to at&t for the htc one x
because i have the one x, and its sexy, i can bear the call lags, low receptions, calls being cut off, and dropped calls.
otherwise, go tmobile if your in socal

There's a secret for AT&T's customer service. "The customer rules" yes, its a motto AT&T uses but seldom follows unless, you do these basic things.
1. Be calm don't raise your voice. AT&T in store reps and cust care reps notate the account. They do sometimes leave behavior attitude in them as well. Good account notations on serious situations where you should be pi**ed and you're calm go farther with the cust care.
2. When you call customer care, talk to them normally. Explain your situation confusing etc they'll normally listen and do their best. Some one who has an attitude doesn't get far with customer care. 9 out of 10 are pretty polite and happy. Especially if get the Texas girls they're such a delight. Some of the southern states people are too. If you get the bay area folk well good luck..
3. This is the most important one. It deals with in store. And to understand it you have to remember AT&T used to be for a time the only land line service in the USA. That mentality remains with AT&T. So, don't ever mention another service provider or switching to it-the reps and manager will literally give you peace sign. Oh, AT&T reps are mostly bored. If you're entertaining witty funny you can go a lot farther.
I have had AT&T since 2002 they were Cingular who remembers them? The customer service went up and got to be pretty good after AT&T started with the iPhone. They attempted to act like Apple stores. Kind of worked. But they def got better.
My post is long winded but its true. AT&T can be frustrating at times. If you call about an issue they sit there on the phone to trouble shoot. Have a reception problem they'll have techs check the tower and send an alpha tag to your SIM card (improves reception by prioritizing the cell tower to rate your imei first in line) the alpha last for a week tho. AT&T also has service centers in most major cities. They'll replace. Fix. Repair a phone under the warranty. I've been there twice in my life. It looks like a store but they fix it instead. Also on the phone with customer care and if you ask to speak with a floor supervisor that person normally will go above and beyond.

I love this phone, but t-mobile sucks. I can't take the ****ty service anymore. I've had more dropped calls in the past 2 weeks than I've had with Att, sprint, and Verizon over the past 10yrs.
I originally thought I'd be able to use att towers, but we all know that isn't yet possible.
Not sure what carrier and phone to go with now. hmmmm....
What is Tmo's coverage map look like in your area? If it was bad to begin with, then you should be expecting this coming in.
If not, then you may just have a bad device.
not sure about dropped calls, but T-mobile signal coverage does suck
You meant to say Tmobile sucks in you location because it doesn't suck in mine (Baltimore) but you know who's service does suck in my area. ATT and Sprint. My wife's iPhone gets multiple dropped calls though out the week and there data speeds suck. Sprints WiMax is laughable and always gets static on the line. Tmobile however has insane 4g speeds where I live and I average 8mbs DL and 3mbs UL in and around Baltimore. Not to mention I haven't had a dropped call since I can remember. I don't even remember the last time I went without service. In the end there is no point for me to pay more and get less. A post like yours is all subjective depending on where you live and in the end, this thread is idiotic. Nobody wants to hear you high about carrier service in a forum dedicated to a device.

It shows as covering everywhere. I wouldn't have gotten the phone if the coverage maps were accurate. I get 3g att coverage on my company phone when I have 0 signal with tmobile.
Driving my kids to school 8 miles away I have NO service for 80% of the drive, never had issues with any other carrier. I can pretty much count on ONLY getting service if I'm at or near a city center.
In my area I have great t-mobile coverage and I had att before which was very bad.
So go for the network which works best for you. No point in cribbing here since I guess no can help you. All it does is a flame war.

I'm having a fair amount of problems with lost signal, and all I did was upgrade from my Nexus 1. Still live in Chicago, still drive the same routes, but before where it was not an issue it is now. Which forces me to conclude it's either SW that still needs improvement, or hardware a la Apple's infamous antenna problems.

I love your threads today...Stop making me laugh. It hurts when I laugh.
I have to say though that I think the I'm leaving posts have their place. If I'm researching a potential phone, I'm interested in disgruntled customers and their rants. They helped me decide on this phone for instance.
While there are a few(I'm leaving posts) for the G2X, there are not that many. And when someone is leaving for a bs, unenlightened, not ever gonna be satisfied reason, it's usually pretty apparent. But go to Androidforums and see all the complaints about the Indulge. There are legions of users who are unhappy. If one person is detered then the people who've posted have helped.
Thank Zeus for the forums. An educated consumer is a powerful one. You have to have a lot of opinions to make an informed decision. Even the redonkalous ones LOL.
I drive between NJ and PA around 70 miles to work everyday. Never dropped a call even while on drive all the way. Tmobile coverage is very good. It sure hops between 2g and 4g, but that is due to the software. AT&T is not at all good in my area.

8 miles to school!!! damn. Must not be in the city
Tmobile works well in the cities but not so much in-between. I travel and it sucks sometimes. Airports are the worst. ALL AIRPORTS SHOULD HAVE GREAT COVERAGE ON ALL CARRIERS... but they don't. With AT&T and Tmobile I'm often left with little to no cell signal. Verizon has the best coverage and is the most reliable. AT&T is second with Tmobile last.
90% of the time I am within the city and get great 4G data speeds and a reliable network.
I am always amused by how people are so easily affected my the media machine. BMW is the ultimate driving machine, Verizon is the best, Mercedes never break, blah blah blah...
I have Tmo in SoCal...I've had ATT, Sprint and Verizon. I would not trade Tmo's customer service for any or all of the other 3's claims. Sprint and ATT's data speeds are laughable here. Verizon is good but not worth 3x the price. ATT I think spends all their time trying to make their automated phones menus more torturous. The last time I needed to call ATT, I spent 2 hours calling number after number and never got my issue resolved. I cancelled all my ATT services at that point...took nearly all day to do it but boy do I feel good about it now.

Since I've never used a Thunderbolt, you'll have to take the following with a grain of salt. First, Verizon's coverage is much better than Sprint's coverage. Sprint's 'nationwide' coverage has next to no native coverage in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nevada. Other areas are more sparse than Verizon as well. However, Sprint has free roaming with 3G speeds (assuming Verizon has 3G in that area). You won't get Sprint services like Sprint Navigation, TV, etc. while roaming (at least I don't think you do).
I had the nexus s 4g for about a month, but ultimately returned it. The only reason I returned it was that I did not have a signal at my workplace. My previous phones have all had pretty poor signal at my work, but the nexus was a just a little worse (enough that it wouldn't receive the majority of calls/text, whereas my older phones would get most of them). The coverage is bad there since it's basically a concrete block and I had no problems anywhere else with the nexus s. The minor things were creaky battery cover (probably just on mine and could have been fixed with a new cover) and no led notification light.
The things I liked were good battery life (even with poor signal at my work), standard google with no sprint branding at all, native hotspot feature works like google intended it to work, the size was really nice, amoled screen looked very good, and the phone was very fast in everything I did. It was also very easy to root and get superuser on (other than needing to move some of the tools in android sdk from 'platform-tools' to 'tools').
They're making a radio update. Should've waited.

The only thing you might miss is Verizons network. Me and mikeyinid both switched from the Thunderbolt and I can personally say it was the best decision I have made.

Look up the sprint map about coverage in the other hand I'll go with the nexus man stock android blows out of the water in speed , I had an evo (thunderbolt brother , practicly with a few updates ) LTE is great tho (where it works )
Ok so I had and Evo with CM7 stable but still some how had bugs , on nexus s I don't have any bugs and I don't even miss 720 p video recording , and I'm happy that I'm getting upsates straight from google , the evo got gingerbread 2.3.3 and 2.3.4 is out and I bet that's probably the last update for evo so not gtalk video chat ... btw I'm in las vegas and I switch from verizon to sprint cheaper service and in my already better service most of the time

Like mbh87 said, we both came to the NS4G from the Bolt, and while I do miss the awesome service, the Nexus makes it worth it. I have no regrets switching. If your running CM on your bolt then the switch is a no brainer Not to mention your gonna save money with sprint. Don't let them talk you into a big plan. The 69 + 10 dollar for wimax is unlimited mobile to mobile on any network... Very good deal.

hey, i was just wondering, do you have a link to that info? i haven't heard of anything about it, but would be awesome if they did.
to the op, verizon's always gonna have better general coverage than sprint, but if your area has good sprint coverage then it shouldnt really be a problem. also sprint is always gonna be generally cheaper than verizon (not to mention they'll give you a $125 bill credit if you port your verizon number over to the nexus before the end of this month).
As far as the nexus s 4g goes, man its smooth like butter the combination of hardware/software has given me almost zero lag in the UI. but your best bet is to just go test it out at the store.
and the nexus 3, shoot thats a tough call. i was gonna wait for it and not get the ns4g on contract, but im such a big fan of the nexus that im just gonna buy the nexus 3 outright when it comes out and sell this one or possibly keep both (i love it that much).
Thanks for all the info guys! and im goin to be gettn my nexus s 4g SOON as i get rid of this bolt, yous swayed me with all the good reviews! then i took the advice of goin to play with it hands on and man its crazy smooth and fast and thats even without bn rooted and oc'd, man i can only imagine. thank you all for bn cool enuff to help a brotha out, i shall be hangn out with yous very soon.

The main advantages the nexus s has over the thunderbolt is the cpu and gpu, and screen of course.

Well considering sprint has the largest voice coverage in the US, switching to Sprint isn't a bad way to go if you are looking for good voice coverage.
Verizon has better 3G coverage though, and better 4G coverage.
Overall, my only issue with the nexus s 4g (vs. my old evo) is the wifi antenna is not as good. While the bars jump around much more than the evo, I get similar performance/coverage.
If fast data speeds are very important to you, verizon is probably a better bet. If you just need data connection to grab emails, use google navigation, etc, sprint works great.
My job decided to get me a company phone and start paying the bill, but only problem is, they use sprint. So, I had them get me the new evo 3d. I've always been a fan of t mobile and their network, but hey, I'm saving 100a month. Well, got my new phone setup, and must say, sprint is a lot slower than t mobile is, and the phone is kind of a let down. The 3d is cool, but I can't stand sense at all. Plus quadrant scores are lower.

Hahaha. man, I wish I could. Only other network they use is att, but they suck too. sprint network speeds blow - plus 4g coverage is terrible. Ah, I hate sense. It's terrible. The phone is snappy, and the 3d pictures and movies is cool, but will probably get old. The g2x seems to handle video's better. Man, the grass is never greener. You guys should be happy you have a beast for a phone. Granted the data may be a little slower because frequencies are different but at least you'd have the real deal.

3G nor 4G will work on AT&T.. the phone's advertising was wrong. It does not support those bands for AT&T.
The g2x is great in terms of hardware. But LG just fails to provide good software support. Wasted hardware really.

I wish that was the case, but they pay the entire bill, unlimited everything, and for some reason, they use sprint. I can't stand Sprint download speeds. They are pitiful. Avg for me so far has been .5-2 mb/s, while my tmobile was about 3-7mb/s. That's quite the drastic drop.

Well, got my new phone setup, and must say, sprint is a lot slower than t mobile is, and the phone is kind of a let down. The 3d is cool, but I can't stand sense at all. There were multiple threads when the phone first came out. People were angry that they wouldn't be able to use 3G/4G on AT&T with the phone.
I believe the incorrect advertising was on T-Mobile's end.

I was with T-Mobile for 8 years up until I switched to Sprint last fall as I got a job with them and free service. Hard, T-Mobile was always awesome with data and their hspa + upgrade in denver was amazing.I had nexus one at the time, which wasn't an hspa + device but I still pulled 5mbps on 70ping in many places. On Sprint, I couldn't even stream Pandora at my gym! Since then, I moved but issues were still there, from service disruptions to data drops, to speeds capping at 300kbps and 4g being pretty damn awful and a battery kill. Just now couldn't take it anymore and dropped to buy g2x with the online sale lol.

I can't wait for the Hercules. Its pretty much a Infuse with a dual core CPU. Nobody knows for sure which dual core it will be but I've seen speculation that it will be a Qualcomm. Then again, everyone speculated everyone's SGSII to look the same since we saw cases on a website but we all know that speculation was wrong since ATT'S is a slider. Hell, the Hercules might not eveb have a 4.5 inch screen at this point since everyone was totally wrong on saying ATT, Verizon and Sprints would be the same form factor as the European version.

I'm telling you, their 4g service is a joke. I can never find it, and if I do, I can never get above 2.5 mb. There 3g is a joke, and I have to use wifi. I absolutely hate their service, and their customer service sucks too. Only reason I'll stay with them, I'm getting a full free ride. I might see if I can eventually switch to att, since the big wigs at my company use them for their iphones. I'd never get an iphone, of course. Guys, you are lucky to have your download speeds. I called their customer service, and told them I was getting pour speeds compared to t mobile, and she asked me, what's the benefit of faster download speeds anyway! Seriously! I hung up.

Lol yea I know how it goes, its crazy down there and my buddy who lives in Georgia is on sprint as well, he's been having same issues as me for the past few months. During off hours I could get 2mbps down some places, while still not get any data downtown Denver.... 4g is always one bar Max, unless I am at my store, and it literally drops signal like no other, no point in even wasting my battery on keeping my wimax antenna on... even if I do get 2mbps its still way slow compared to T-Mobile, ping of 300 really does make it seem even slower as well.
I went to the gym tonight and got my buddy there to download speed test on his g2, was during peak hours. He got 6mbps down while I couldn't even open Facebook lol.

@OP- I have had nothing but great experiences with AT&T. Their plans are decently priced, their LTE is fast as hell, and their customer service reps are easily manipulated.
at&t data speeds are better. Prices are pretty good. Versus Verizon. Customer service is also pretty good, I always get them to refund my activation fees, lol. Plus we have a nice community and need more devs.

Get T-Mobile and a One S. AT&T is too damn expensive.
They also have an annoying threashold set for voice activity detection on their calls resulting in an audible mute whenever someone stops talking for half a second. Most people don't notice it, but I do. It honestly feels like you're talking to someone on a walkie talkie... This doesn't happen when I'm using T-Mobile. So... What I'm trying to say is call quality blows, and I also get dropped calls a lot...
Update: and LTE isn't even available in most decent cities. There are only like 11 locations in the USA.

We have a handful of great devs and they seam to work well together when it comes to sharing and helping each other out. You would be a very welcome addition to the community.

I am sure your aware of this but not all service is great in all areas. I'm in south Louisiana where att is great and Verizon blows. As I'm positive Verizon is boss in some areas where att is crap. So research your area before switching.

Coverage for Verizon vs. AT&T varies quite a bit in some locations, so I'd check with friends, coworkers, etc. and try to get a feel for coverage quality in your general area, and places you visit frequently.
Just as example, in my home/work area (Boston suburbs) the reception for both VZN and AT&T is very good. But for other places, such as a ski are in NH that I occasionally visit, reception is non-existent (both voice and data, no signal at all) on AT&T while my friends on VZN have great voice and data reception. Just anecdotally, I find this situation to be the case more often than not, where VZN has more consistent coverage than AT&T. When I was on a camping trip with friends to Alabama last fall, I had no data on AT&T, and could barely get a voice call out (with signal breaking up, and dropping calls) while my VZN friends were enjoying great voice reception and full 3G. Given, it was a pretty rural area. But coverage in your local area should definitely be considered when looking at changing carriers.
Another consideration is if you do any foreign travel, and intend to roam on your local carrier. The vast majority of customers never do this, or not frequently enough to matter. But I travel quite a bit for work, and its one of the main reasons I stay with AT&T. CDMA is simply not used in most parts of the world, and VZN's selection or "world" phones (with GSM compatibility) is very limited. Roaming service on AT&T has been consistently great, in a variety of foreign countries. Funny thing, both coworkers I was traveling with to Germany recently were on VZN, and had big issues with service during the trip. They had to use my AT&T phone to call VZN customer support (which I obviously gave them sh_t about). First off, the phones weren't setup right for international roaming, which was probably more my companies fault, and not VZN. But even after they had things up and running, they lost service the next day. VZN claimed it was a fire at a nearby Vodaphone switching station that was interrupting service in the whole area. But my AT&T phone was also connected to Vodaphone, and was working just fine. I ribbed my coworkers yet again: "Can you hear me now???" :victory:
Again, the foreign travel thing doesn't apply to a great many people. But if it applies to you, I'd say that AT&T wins in that category.
Att service and customer service had been great since switching from Verizon 6Yrs ago. LTE is fast when available, and hspa+ is a fast fallback also.
I don't get static or bad reception in los angeles, san Francisco or Denver. Except in the mountains sometimes.
Phones are cheaper than Verizon and tmobile.
Go for it.

And I can say the same about my in laws and their T-Mobile service here. But they're grandfathered in to a cheap rate even after they got smartphones last year.
Only way to find out is to test drive the service carrier for the 14 or 30 days they allow.

I've been on AT&T since the Cingular acquisition. NY Metro area and Long Island NY, with extensive travel to other metropolitan (70%), rural (20%), and international (10%) locales. Rarely a complaint. Reasonable pricing and very accommodating customer service. They always had the newest and coolest phones, but that playing field's been kind of leveled now. I can honestly say that I don't ever plan on leaving AT&T. I've never had a problem with muting - but voicemail eliminates recorded dead airtime (not an issue to me).

AT&T LTE is on in my area and it rocks. As far as AT&T as a company, I've been with them since it was my local Bell South, then Cingular, then AT&T. Aside from a few quirks here and there, I've always been relatively satisfied and the customer service is usually pretty good.
The One X is a great device. I had the international version, which broke after 2 weeks. I sent it back to HTC America where after two months they told me it couldn't be repaired due to injunctions on importing the parts to the US, at which point they sent me the AT&T LTE version. I was naturally pissed, but that anger quickly dissipated as soon as the lady at AT&T handed me my phone and I saw the 4G LTE logo.
The more devs the better, of course we want you here!
This may be of interest to you as well the one x will be reduced to $99 with contract on July 29th that is a steal for this device

It's highly dependent on where you live. If you have AT&T LTE service where you are, it's no contest. But if you don't, or often travel to rural areas, it's more of a toss-up. Verizon simply has a bigger coverage area.
If you travel outside the US, forget Verizon. There's nothing like having your phone "just work" halfway around the world. (But do investigate AT&T's global plans if you do this a lot.)
I'm going to agree with what's been said about AT&T's customer service. I think they must have some kind of corporate inferiority complex about people leaving for Verizon, because I've found they will usually do what it takes to keep you happy.
I came from Verizon before I got an iPhone, and I never liked the degree to which they kept everything so locked down. Based on the encrypted bootloader they just slapped on their SGS3, this clearly hasn't changed.

What's up One X peeps? I am currently with Sprint on a Galaxy S2 in the Bristol, Tn area. Not so great of service and it is only 3g coverage for Sprint here so far(no plans in the future to add LTE here as far as I know...which is stupid because the race track is sponsored by Sprint and yet they have the worst service in the area duhuh..)...aaanyway, I am considering AT&T because I can pay a little extra and have 4g almost anywhere I go in the Tri Cities. So I am torn between the S3 and the One X. I have had Sense phones and touchwiz phones so I am really asking if anyone would care to share what they love about their One X and why they chose it over the S3. They are both remarkable but I am honestly leaning toward the One X because it is different in an appealing kind of way. I am just an average user other than rooting every phone I get my hands on. Browsing, texting, listening to music with headphones, email, etc. I had a Nexus S 4G before the S2 and a Hero before that. I have loved all of my phones but I kind of want something different right now. It also helps that the One X is on sale for $99 until September.

DO IT. I was with Sprint for 5 years, and ever since they got the iPhone my 3G speeds were simply atrocious. How good is having unlimited data when you're pulling 0.5mbps down(on a good day)? And I'm in a network vision completed area! The difference really is night and day, and so damn worth it.
Also, battery life on the One X with LTE is better than my EVO 4G, EVO 3D and Galaxy Nexus ever had on 3G... TIMES TWO. I've left my phone unplugged for eight hours when going to bed, to wake up and find out it only used 2% battery. ON LTE.
There really is no contest here. It's even worth paying an ETF. I sold my (mint condition) Galaxy Nexus on ebay for $350 and paid my ETF with that.
Good luck!
I was a Sprint customer for a decade and finally got fed up with their data speeds. What's the point of unlimited data if you can't even use it? After a brief trial with Verizon, I made the move to AT&T in January and couldn't be happier. The HOX is an absolute beast of a phone and coupled with AT&T's blazing LTE speeds (and even their fast-enough HSPA+ when LTE isn't available) it's pretty much unstoppable. I had heard horror stories about AT&T's customer service before coming over here but my experience with them has been nothing but positive, and I have tested the patience of more than a handful of AT&T reps since making the move. They are friendly, somewhat knowledgeable, they do try to help as best they can, and best of all- they are incredibly easy to manipulate. Do it man, you'll be glad you did.
The main reason I left sprint was due to the horrible 3G speeds. You know how bad it feels to see buffering every 5 seconds on sprint watching youtube? The slowest speed I've got on ATT was 6mbps, thats more than enough for anything I need to do. Sprint, I was barely able to do 0.5mpbs with full bars, pathetic.
Good bye Sprint, You won't ever see me again. I'm paying $10 more a month, but its we'll worth it.
Yeah, I am thinking it is going to be worth the transfer. It doesnt seem too crazy to get root and unlock the bootloader from what I have read so I am sure I can manage. The only work arpund I will have to find is the storage but dropbox is offering the 25gb space still if I am not mistaken.

The latest firmware version (2.20) is not currently rootable, although its being worked on. No root also means no bootloader unlock. It seems that based on reports here, a lot of newly purchased One X's have 2.20 pre-installed. Maybe you can find a store with some older stock (1.73 and 1.85 are okay). But if you need root and unlocked BL right now, be aware when buying.
Also, I think AT&T stopped supporting the Dropbox promotion a while ago.
I'd recommend the secondary market vs buying a new one at this point.
Att gave me a $175 trade on my Epic 4G touch when I came from sprint a month ago...best decision I made in a long time.

come on over! I honestly don't know how people put up with Sprint's data speeds. Also, I don't have any complaints with AT&T except I'm patiently waiting for LTE in Denver (HSPA+ is good enough, but why put up with "good enough" ). I've been with the company since their Cingular days and won't be going anywhere for a while (unless I jump over to Straight Talk to save some $$)
The S3 has better hardware specs but the HOX is better looking.
Basically it comes down to sd card/more ram/removable battery vs better screen and build quality.
IMO the S3 is ugly as sin, with a dated, pedestrian design (seriously, a physical home button?). But some people like it.
If you're a power user you may be better off with the S3 because of the better multitasking (more ram) and storage space. If looks and design matter to you, go with the HOX.
I came from iOS, so the sd card slot and battery were not really a big deal, while the design was.
AT&T's coverage is not as big as Verizon's but the data speeds are nice. Their customer service has always been pretty good on most issues (exceptions being the various things they like to lock down--but Verizon has always been far worse about that anyway).

U know how ppl who have sprint deal with the horrid speeds? by never experiencing good speeds..lol..I've never saw over a mb/s unless on my airave or WiFi....I don't even attempt doing stuff when I'm out and about that requires more than minimal bandwidth..but I'm in the early 2nd round of network vision so hopefully that will change ..if 6mb/s is slow for you then I'm jealous..can't imagine u need much more than that for anything..YouTube app still buffers for me on WiFi when playing hd content..and its 20 down..anyone else have that issue ?

The LTE service that I get is so fast, there is ZERO difference from WiFi, and can even be faster in some cases. When I start watching a video on youtube and switch to HD, it starts playing immediately. I can't even begin to explain how much faster it is compared to even Sprint's solid WiMAX service here in Boston.
Speaking of WiMAX, LTE on AT&T runs at 700mhz, so LTE signals penetrate buildings even better than 3G and voice if you can believe it. I remember with WiMAX my signal would drop if I stepped over a shadow.
And while I've seen bursts of up to 60mbps(I kid you not), It's the insanely low ping times(about 30ms) that make you feel like you're using WiFi.
I think I will go for it. It will cost probably $10-20 mpre a month because pf the discpunt I get with Sprint through my bank...but again, I am tired of waiting for service and having to constantly roam with roamcontrol just to make a phone call in my apartment. I will try to get time to give more thanks later. I believe I talked myself into it earlier today. Design and feel mean a lot to me. And if those Apple fanbois are happy with no removable battery or sd card then I can manage too lol. Thank you all for your input!
