I have [ROM] 2.3.6 SuperCharged V6 - Atrix 2 GSM (re-released 6/9/12) installed and my notification randomly change to other songs, tones, or notifications. I set them back and the problem comes back. Ive had it set for days and other times it will stay set for hours.
I'm leaning toward flashing the fxz.
Is there any other options I can try?

I'd start off by booting into CWM Recovery and wiping cache partition as well as wipe Dalvik cache. Then, reboot and see if the issue goes away.

I have the Samsung infuse 4G and have been using CatyRom since v1.0. I have flashed v2.0 on it yesterday and noticed that my ringer doesn't work. I then decided to try flashing dman's v2.1 ICS version...and just when I though how much better could 2.1 be...it definitely is an awesome ROM...but still no ringer. I get an exception error and need to Force Close when I am in Settings....Sound....Phone Ringtone. It states:
The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
Tried over and over but it never works and produces the same error on Phone Ringtone and Notification Ringtone.
When I adjust the volume on the side of the phone, it makes a lower to louder sound as I go up with the Ringer Volume indicator, but never rings when I receive a phone call.
Any ideas?
No Issues here
I downloaded each and every release of Caty ROM and I never had this issue. only with 2.1 i had issue with email applicaiton, but when I reflashed with full wipe, every thing worked.. now no FC's.
Havent tried a full wipe...only dalvik cache and cache and fix permissions. Didnt want to have to redo everything but I guess I will have to try that. Thanks!

Just got back to my office and did a full wipe, dalvik cache, fix permissions...and ringer works now. Now, I just need to set everything back up.
Thanks again.
So I flashed in the CM10 rom. Did the usual wipe clean, wipe cache stuff. Everything works great. However it doesn't ring despite showing someone is calling even if I set it up to super loud.
It does vibrate under that mode.
Help?
Phone ring and email notification tones are not played

I have the same situation. I have done the above procedure (wipe data/factory, clean cache, wipe delvik, even format /system before flashing, and set permissions) 7~8 times, using different Nightly and gapps with no difference.
I've used CM10 nightly cm-10-20120818-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd.zip, cm-10-20120820-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd.zip, cm-10-20120821-NIGHTLY-captivatemtd.zip and gapps-jb-20120724-signed.zip, gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip, gapps-jb-20120813-signed.zip.
Also, it has been reported other places, Voice Search gets stuck on "Initialization" OR it says "Didn't catch that. Try speaking again. Retry"

RESOLVED - Changed the profile from Home to default (Settings-Personal-Profiles) fixed the problem. I turned the Profiles Off to not mess with it again!
NOT RESOLVED - Voice Search Issue!

Update:
I've been having this problem for about a month now, ever since rooting and flashing my Galaxy SIII i747. I'd tried several roms, no help. After finally finding this, I got the issue fixed (for which I thank you very much by the way), but it got me thinking. After a few minutes of digging, I found the issue:
- When using profiles, you need to set the ringtone at the profile level, as it has no default. IE, just set:
Settings->Profiles->[profile in question]->Phone->Phone ringtone / Notification tone
Extremely annoying, but hopefully this helps. Thanks again for the push in the right direction!

I've got a Samsung Infuse 4G, originally Rogers now on Telus. It's been running ParanoidAndroid 2.53 from scott.hart.bti (build pa_infuse4g-userdebug 4.1.2 JO54K eng.scott.20121104.152548 test-keys) nearly flawlessly for a few weeks. I've installed a few apps (facebook, twitter, wikipedia, imdb, accuweather, etc.) but none recently.
Today, I answered a phone call from my brother, and when I took the phone away from my ear to hang up, it stayed black. I heard the disconnect sound, then it pretty much froze. I powered off to the Power Reset / Debug Mode screen, then rebooted. When it came back on, I'd lost a bunch of my settings, but not all. I currently have been unable to get back my full menu when I long-press the power button - it only has power off and reboot, no airplane mode, no volume, no profile choice (yes, I have configured these options in the settings). Further, my notifications work (ie, sound and vibrate), but the notification icon does not appear.
Anyone have any ideas what I should try? I could reflash and start over, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone comment on whether or not this make be a problem with Trebuchet? Are the problems I mentioned the domain of the launcher, or is it something else? If these things are controlled by the launcher, am I able to reinstall / reset it to possibly fix the problem?
It sounds more like a SystemUI problem than a launcher problem. You can reflash the ROM without losing any data or settings by formatting just the cache partition and /system and also clearing dalvik cache. That will reinstall the ROM without data loss but if the problem persists I recommend a full and complete wipe and reflash.
If you believe it to be a trebucket problem though then download a free launcher replacement like Holo launcher from the store and see if that fixes your problems.

Im running CM10.1 nightlies. I think this started with the 0308 release, but know it has been prevalent in the 0311 release, and 0312 release I just flashed. I have no sound notification at all on text or pic messages. I am running stock messaging and audios. I can go in and choose a different audio for the notification, they all play the sample when you choose them. So I choose one, and close it out. But when I get a text.... nothing. If I dont check the phone, I never know if Im getting messages.
Ive tried it with vibration both enabled and disabled, and with the visible notifications enabled and disabled. It just flat out will not play a sound when messages arrive

What hboot are you on? Did you upgrade from 10.0 and if you did, did you wipe dalvik/cache and system? I'm running 10.1 0311 and am having no problems. I'm on 1.09 hboot though. I would recommend going back to a stable backup, then using your recovery(I'm using the latest twrp) to wipe the dalvik and cache and system, not factory reset, then flashing the update and the newest gapps. This worked for me but like I said i'm on the early hboot and I know that makes a difference.
Im on HBoot 1.14
I did a factory reset when I went from 10 to 10.1
The audio worked fine for the first couple nightlies on 10.1 I dont remember exactly which on started giving me issues
not going to have time for awhile to mess with it or try re-flashing. D/L Go Messenger, and it plays the notification sounds just fine
Skyrocket i727 running CM-10.1-20130807 nightly. Apex launcher. On Rogers with UCMC1 radio.
It's running stable with the (big) exception that occasionally (once or twice a day) the four buttons at the bottom (settings/home/back/search) will not respond to any touch. The only way to fix it is to restart the phone. I searched the forums and cannot find an answer to why this might be happening, nor to anyone else having this problem. I have the backlight on these buttons disabled (to save power).
Also, this might be related or maybe not, but on Monday I had a very strange crash. The HOME button wouldn't work, but the BACK button and SETTINGS button did. The notification bar wasn't functioning and no push notifications were coming through. The quick-settings panel was reverted to default, and the buttons within the quick settings panel were completely unresponsive.
Even stranger, Chrome was unresponsive, Maps/Navigation were constantly force-closing, and in general the phone was throwing a massive fit over almost anything I did. I pulled the battery but that didn't help. I was forced to go into recovery mode and perform factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, and reinstall the ROM. This has worked (although a PITA) but the issue I mentioned first (bottom buttons not working) has manifested itself since then.
Any ideas what to do here?
Much appreciated!
Eric
Run the recent nightly. Could be an issue with your rom, although I haven't seen your problem.
I just flashed the most recent nightly a few minutes ago.
Should I go back into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik? (note: When I flashed the ROM through CM Updater / TWRP, it 'optimized' 119 apps... so I think it automatically wiped the cache...?)

You should be ok. I never go back and wipe caches
The original issue is still occurring even on newest nightly. Completely random (using different apps each time - Facebook, Messenger, Youtube, etc...).
Any idea if a setting I can change is causing this?
