Question about the frame-resp.apk from the X10 leak

I tried to bake my own rom, but ti didn't work. My question is, can I just push the apk. to the phone? Or is it tied to possibly to something else and will not work?

isn't the X10 based on 1.6?? I doubt it wud ever work on the 2.0, let alone the 2.1

of course it can work. the dump needs to be ported first, u can't just push .apk's.. they run on a highly customized framework that is all tied together and inter-related much like HTC sense.

Which is why I asked.

but, you should be able to pull most of the .pngs out of the x10 framework and port it into a theme for 2.0/2.1...

I would like to get theses png too... I search for the launcher png to make my own theme.

Then extract the apks and open them in any archive manager (winrar etc) and look for PNGs in the res/drawable folder. Most system wide stuff is in /system/framework/framework-res.apk

Euhhh, I just downloaded 73Mb file of X10..
I think there is a mistake because once the file uncompressed I get this:
A directory: X10_Donut_100325_01
1 sub-dir: esheep_linux
1sub-dir: LINUX
1sub-dir: android
3 sub dir: external - kernel - system.
If I go under system, i get: core/mtd and there nothing but .c files
I think that was a wrong file a downloaded but I cannot find an other one.
Sorry, but I try my best ;-)

I found some apk but no launcher.apk.
Only launcher.odex and i could'nt unzip it.
For all the other applications, that's OK.

I found all I wanted except one thing: do you know where is the background of the "quick settings" widget?
The number one on the picture, the launcher was easy to find in the launcher.apk.

You can download the file from Deviantart and apply it with bettercut. It's like 3 steps to new icons. I don't believe there is an AOSP 2.1 icon pack that flashable right now.

The default wallpaper should be in the Launcher2.apk. Browse to /system/app and copy launcher2.apk to you PC and rename the apk extension to zip. Open the zip file and look in the res\drawable-xlarge-nodpi directory and you should find the wallpapers.

Here's the Thrive wallpapers I pulled from a system dump I got in this thread. I had to put them in 2 separate zip files due to the forum upload constraints as the total size of a single zip file was just over 8MB.
The wallpaper you are looking for is called luster2_a.jpg and it is in ThriveWallpaper(2of2).zip.

The primary background for this is a mesh looking, honeycomb. I love that, and would like to have a full sized version of just that background. I know for this image, it's from the thrive, but it looks like it was put together. Anyone know where I can get the primary background out of this picture, so I can use it as a background on my Xoom? Thanks

Sense 3.5 HtcLocationsWidget3d fix

The one from stock ROM 2.08.401.1 have glitches of displaying, I just insert the asset file from runny. I haven't seen anyone compalining about this widget, but this is really a helpfull widget!

The word insert should be corrected, sorry, I mean replace it, in windows xp above, rename the apk to .zip and double click then drag out from runny's apk, drag in to sensation's apk, or using 7-zip, right click to open the apk archive, drag and drop to replace.
There is also another glitch of HtcDialer.apk, it is the handwriting panel for Chinese, I fixed it also, not as easy of draging, it has to decompile - modify - compile. I'll upload it if somebody asking for it.

What does this widget do?? Is it like Check In to locations??

Like sms widget, flip pages with locations on footprints and also your current location.

I have done as instructed, it didnt work out as stated. Inserted the asset folder but i didnt work. No widget for location can be found. Any help? Im running stock 3.5final by eddyOS.

Hm... mine is working? I'm using stock ROM, if not working, talk with your ROM cook may help.

The apk is not modified in any other way except using apk manager to optimizing pngs, and then using a script here to repack for optimizing reasons. The assests files I use is from sensation XL (sense 3.5) or which is called ruunymede.

Maybe you can post the modified apk and ill try to replace it on my system?

[Q] Exact name of apk for this live wallpaper?

Can someone tell me what the exact name is of this live wallpaper? I know its called Bubbles when you go to select it but cannot find the apk named Bubbles in system\app. I just want to use it on other ROMs and not just Sense based ROMs. Lol
