The default wallpaper should be in the Launcher2.apk. Browse to /system/app and copy launcher2.apk to you PC and rename the apk extension to zip. Open the zip file and look in the res\drawable-xlarge-nodpi directory and you should find the wallpapers.

Here's the Thrive wallpapers I pulled from a system dump I got in this thread. I had to put them in 2 separate zip files due to the forum upload constraints as the total size of a single zip file was just over 8MB.
The wallpaper you are looking for is called luster2_a.jpg and it is in ThriveWallpaper(2of2).zip.
Reminded just me how good 'glow hex' is
im sorry, this issue my first post, huge noob question but how do i download those zip files, because it says it downloaded them but when i go to open it on my XOOM it says it cannot be opened and i have my "unknown Sources" checked in my settings so a little help please? thank you!
you have to install apps that can unpack zipped file

The primary background for this is a mesh looking, honeycomb. I love that, and would like to have a full sized version of just that background. I know for this image, it's from the thrive, but it looks like it was put together. Anyone know where I can get the primary background out of this picture, so I can use it as a background on my Xoom? Thanks

Sorry. I meant luster_b.

jonnybrueno - red theme
pc suite - fonts
pardonmyfreedom - clock and gps removal from status bar
prodigy2007 - icon for notifications and battery work
I hope I didnt leave anyone out. Let me know what you think.

please remember to due a nandroid backup first as with any new install.
might want to mention what you themed this for
ie skyraider

I really like this theme, except for the font. Its very hard to read and too wide IMO. Wish I could figure out how to apply the fonts from the Detox theme. I'll get it figured out. Love this theme though!

If you send me a link of the ones you like I can incorporate them into this.

i agree about the font. i just downloaded the storopia font and about to try to apply it as all my system fonts. if you want to try to apply the detox theme fonts, i believe you could download the detox theme, peruse through the zip file and find the fonts folder, pull it, get in adb and delete the /system/fonts folder on your phone, then push the new fonts folder to the exact same spot. i believe that should work. but, just in case, do a nandroid before you try lol.
Thanks guys, I'm currently downloading the newest SkyRaider to flash and then I'll reflash this theme after I package the Detox fonts into it. If I have any problems I'll come crying! I appreciate all your help.

Yeah that didn't work. I tried to replace the fonts in the theme but no such luck. I can't remember the link for the detox theme, but I think its on page 4 or 5 of this forum. I'll see if I can get the link tomorrow.

if youre still wanting the fonts, then download the fonts zip i attached, open it, just click extract and choose wherever to extract them. it will extract them all in a fonts folder for you. then, put that folder on the root of your C drive. boot phone into recovery, go to partitions menu, mount /system and open command prompt on your computer (directing it to your sdk/tools folder.) type "adb push c:\fonts\ /system/fonts/" and it will replace your fonts with the detox ones. then just close the prompt, unmount /system in recovery and reboot. fonts will be changed.
sorry, i would edit craigmack's update zip to just have the fonts in it to make it a little more simple, but i know nothing of creating/editing update zips yet
Server Help
I seen the requests that the link has reached its limit. I need help finding a place to upload the new themes to. If anyone has any ideas please PM me.

Totally comfortable doing this. Thanks for the help. I have no idea how to create or edit update.zips yet either...have to get signing set up on my computer first. Anyways, I pushed the fonts and I've got this theme with the Detox fonts now.
Aww yeah!
"_Burst_'s animated transitions"
Does anyone know where to find this in a flashable zip?
The animation is present in Lowrider's Theme, but I don't want the whole theme, just the animations. Really cool stuff.
thanks.
Install 7zip if you haven't yet. Use 7zip to open both theme zip files. From the lowrider theme, goto /system/framework then select framework.apk and right click "open inside." Then go into /res/ and you should see the "anim" folder. Open your recipient theme the same way and delete the "anim" folder. Then just drag/copy the "anim" folder from the donor theme into the "res" folder of the recipient. Once done, recompile and close the archive on the recipient theme by clicking the "folder icon with the green up arrow" until you're out of framework.apk. Exit out of 7zip and load your "modded" theme file onto SD root and flash away. I did this transplant with the MattedBlues Smooth Sense theme and works great. Thanks to Stale [email protected] for the instructions.
Wow! Thanks, mate. It worked perfectly with the Carbon Sense Theme. Just wow. Thanks again.

Ive searched the forums, trying to find if this has been posted.
Im looking for a way to change the look of the soft-buttons inside CM7-SoS on the Kindle Fire.
There is a post in this forum for changing them in ICS with simple flashable ZIP files. Im looking for something similar to this, for CM7
Thanks in Advance!

One way to change the look of the soft-buttons, is to use adb or a file-manager to pull SystemUI.apk from /system/app and then edit png images to make them your own. And then push it back. That's what I did. Do a search on themeing android to find more in-depth tutorials.

I did the ics zip, easiest way without zip is ninjamorph. Do you have images already? Maybe I could throw something together for you, I'm in the middle of a couple themes at the moment, one for ics on the fire might be putting out tonite. Let me know if I can help.

Do you know how to use ninjamorph? If not send me a pm and I'll give you my gmail, you can send me the images and I'll put them in a fishable zip for you when I get a chance. I will need to know which cm7 your using too.

Another approach might be to do what I did-- freeze the status bar and use Button Savior (or SoftKeys or Virtual Home Bar).

Everything that needs to be edited is in drawable-mdpi folder the files to replace start with 'ic' the easiest way to do it is using 7-zip, name your replacement image the same as the image you want to replace and then drag and drop your images into the apk into the drawable-mdpi folder. And then your good to go.

how to get this????????????????
I was able to get this done with ease.
Copied the systemui file, moved it to my computer, renamed ZIP, extracted to a folder. Opened up the files i wanted edited in Photoshop. I made them Transparent PNGs so they would work with any theme that changes the graphic of the status bar.
saved files, zipped up folder. used RootExplorer to Back up systemui. It caused a Foreclose loop. Rebooted, with no status bar. Back into RE, copied the modified systemui, set permissions, and rebooted.

Hello,
I am using CM10 with Nova launcher. There is a Ubuntu theme that includes my all time favorite wall paper, but the Ubuntu theme isn't compatible with all phones or launchers. Is there a way to pull out just a wallpaper and save it as a file on my SD so I can use it any time?
Thanks!

Open up the apk with 7zip or extract it like a zip with any archive program...then navigate to the red folder, then one of the drawable folders will have your wallpaper
