As the title says, Every time I go into the Apps running menu under System settings on my HTC Desire HD since I updated to IceColdSandwich 8.1 this morning, the phone phone locks up when the loading animation loads. I've left it for four hours and it is still hanging on that screen. Any suggestions?

My nexus s keeps freezing. I have factory reset from a recovery boot, formatted cache and SD. I'm at 2.3.3 and have not rooted.
It will not freeze when it is plugged in so adb debug session doesn't tell me anything.
I have tried alogcat with it set to 15 mins but it usually won't save anything before the phone freezes.
I am not using a custom launcher but it did freeze when I was using launcher pro.
When it freezes the clock stops and I can wake the device up but the screen is non responsive and I cannot unlock it. After the screen is turned off I cannot wake it up again.
Sometimes there is a error triangle but I am unable to see what the error is.
Ideas?

so my go launcher ex suddenly froze up, and the phone randomly restarted itself. then i just left it and went to go watch xmen 3
i come back almost 2 and a half hours later, and the phone's still on the boot screen, and then i take out battery and restart and i come back to 7% battery life. (was at over 50%)
weird.
not the first time go launcher's frozen up on me.
other times, it says (usually) my keyboard (swype) is not responding so i force close and then soon after it says go launcher not responding so i force close. and then my phone goes back in time and launchers some of the apps i previously used. (ie: it would start up asphalt 6 which i was playing earlier in the day, and after i exit, it would start another app that i used).
or other times, it just restarts itself when i exit out of an app.
(i exit out of asphalt6 and go launcher freezes then restarts)
im not rooted/modded/anything, on stock 2.3.6 nexus s i9020a patiently waiting for ics :/
Yes, it seems to happen a lot. Sometimes on my G2 and a lot on my vibrant.

I've used Go Launcher long time and never happened to me! I have Galaxy mini 2 with stock rom. Seems to be a prblem for some devices. Sorry for bad english!
change to a new launcher...Did you try clearing data/cache of that app?

Hi all,
The home screen of my HTC One X with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 is not showing up at all.
I am able to go to settings, answer and make call, use applications from the Notification bar like WhatsApp, Email, etc.
However, when I press the Home button, I see a blank screen.
I changed my Wall paper from the Settings, and the Lock Screen shows the changed wall paper.
But when I unlock, all I see is a blank screen,
han anyone seen such an issue ?
Any help ?
From what i read you are on a custom rom right ? So try going to stock or another custom to see if the problem persists.

I'm on STOCK ROM. Non-rooted.
But to give a little history : I was writing some simple Android Apps, no System services or anything. And I particularly spent some time in fixing a crash for an Application which is using Fragments. Got a LOT of crashes. But eventually, I fixed the issues and the App was working fine. I am seening this Home Screen disappearance issue after that only.
I have uninstalled that App now, but the problem persists
Since you are on stock, you can try a factory reset. If that doesn't work download the ruu for your phone and run it. Back everything up though, before running the ruu.

Hi, for reason my apps that normally run on bootup are no longer running on bootup!
As far as I know I installed cm battery beta app and ever since nothing's fires back up on startup even after uninstalling all cm related apps and also anti virus etc!
Even my Timely alarm didn't sound this morning!
The apps that are normally set to start on bootup are swipepad, adaptive rotation lock, any.do, profile scheduler..... None of these are auto starting on bootup even after I run them and change settings to auto start!
I'm using standard AOKP ROM which has been running fine...
Any ideas much appreciated... Thanks in advance.

the problem is:
starts will read ANDROID and goes into optimizing applications 104
then finished the optimization app appears starting with the circle of renovation that will continue to rotate endlessly
I have restored the factory, I installed both original ROM that cyanogen mod but the problem remains the same
Have a suggestions?

I second this. I am having the same issue. A couple of days ago my phone died. After plugging it in and letting it charge a bit, I tried to power it on but it stayed on the boot screen (rotating light balls) for hours. I rebooted it and then it stated "android is starting...optimizing app x of y." It then stayed on this screen for hours. My phone has never been rooted or even unlocked. It is completely stock, but won't go past the boot screen. I tried clearing the cache, and then did a full factory reset through recovery menu. Still same thing. Downloaded Nexus Root Toolkit and flashed the stock, still same thing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did this happen after any specific update.
I think you guys should start the device and leave it all over night. Plug the device in charger and leave it onn whole night.
Next day will bring same happiness for you.
