Hello guys so my galaxy nexus is now unlocked but when I tried to root it using r3galaxynexusfastboot the cmd kept showing waiting for device I reinstalled the drivers but that made no difference so my phone is unlocked but not rooted any help is highly appreciated.
Hmm...you may have better luck using Wugfresh's program (Nexus Root Toolkit) to root your Gnex. It can both unlock/lock and root/unroot.

Hi,
I own a Nexus S, and I think it is I9020, bought in The Netherlands.
It is still a virgin phone, running Android 2.3.6, never fastboot unlocked yet.
So, now, I want to put the latest 4.0.4 by flashing the official factory image:
http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html#soju
I don't really care with the data because this is my "play" phone (my main phone is Galaxy Nexus).
----------------------
Last week, I did this fastboot unlock and flashed 4.0.4 to my Galaxy Nexus using the "GNex Toolkit". It's a fantastic tool and it went well.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
My question, do you know if I can use the "fastboot-toolkit.exe" that is installed together with the GNex Toolkit?
Or do I have to use specific fastboot tool for Nexus S?
From what I read, to fastboot unlock a Nexus S, I need to install "Android SDK" which has fastboot in it ... And install drivers.
The drivers for fastboot have been installed by the GNex Toolkit (which I have success using it).
I am just wondering if I can use that fastboot-toolkit.exe ... or if I must install drivers ... then Android SDK ... etc.
PS: The GNex Toolkit developer (mskip) said that he will port the tool to support Nexus S if there are quite a lot of people want it though.
Thanks.
I recently bought a factory reconditioned unlocked nexus one with Android v2.3.4.
In the fastboot window, I don't see the unlocked notice altho when I start it it shows an
unlocked Padlock which I have to drag to the right to get to my home page.
I installed the UniversalAndroidroot-1.6.2-beta5.apk
but installing the root and superuser failed
Can anyone offer some advice
Thanks,
Chuck
There are many ways to root. For example, SuperOneClick and UnlockRoot.
Just google "Nexus One 2.3.4 root" and you should get a very clear answer

Hi,
Any help on how to unlock my Sprint Galaxy Note 7 will be much appreciated. Gave it to a friend to unlock it for me but he said he needed root access, from what I've read on here so far it seem this phone cant be rooted because I flashed the firmware to the green battery (PHE).
Is there anyway the phone can be unlocked without root access?

IDK but I need help with this too!
I have tried everything to try and root my Galaxy core prime. I have given up on all one click root methods, and flashing chainfire with Odin didn't work either.
The phone is carrier locked, unfortunately (Verizon) so I need to find adb & fastboot package & drivers to check for a locked bootloader and potentially unlock it.
Any help rooting the phone or finding the drivers?
Thanks
