Hey all, the problem started wen i cf-rooted the ****ing value pack.. First the computer cudnt access the phone via usb... then the soft keys were not working.. luckily i had aokp in my sd card & made it through... didnt get the soft keys working but d foe was useable..
i then tried to flash a clean version of firmware via odin..
my device can access the download mode but doesnt get partitioned by pit file via odin.. its kinda stuck out there.. . And now d fone is not detected by d computer..

If you still can use the download mode, it means there are still some chance of installing firmwares.
NO. First of all. Are you referring to XXLE4? The main reasons why the soft keys are not working were you FORGOT to wipe data and dalvik cache after flashing/rooting it. Though sometimes it does work even w/out wiping, but this is the only way to fix it hence, its a hardware problem (no, no, really no.) About no partition just first flash XXKPE with latona.pit
tried everything normal.. i cnt flash anything.. the pit file wnt partition the fone.. its just stuck ther...
You can't even partition? That's kinda weird. BTW you should have used mobile odin pro to flash and get root via there, I flashed xwlf2 using mobile odin pro and injected root, working great now. Anyway can you access recovery?

If nothing is working then try resetting by using the reset button between the camera and speakers, this method is used to fix soft bricked phones.
You might need two people for this, while you are pressing that button hold down the combination for download mode give this a few tries it might help...please try this at your own risk.

Dont worry if your phone is out of warranty, Samsung service centre will reflash your phone with the latest firmware. I managed to brick my phone couple of weeks back. It costs Rs 170, so no issues. Just tell them you installed something frm internet. It should be fine.

i tried to use odin to flash darkys rom for my phone..
it failed then , after i turned on my phone its stuck at the phone and computer error screen, i took out the battery and left it for 5 minutes , several times and tried again... phone seems to be stuck on the screen...

You done something wrong or got a bad rom .
Can you get into download mode via three buttons .
If so flash stock rom via Odin with pit and repartition checked .
Choose your firmware and follow instructions to the letter.

Darky's rom? i think Darky's rom wasn't available for GT-i9003 yet that's why your phone (temporary)bricked.
I9000 roms will not work on a i9003. The hardware differences are too great.

Don't worry dude, only your pda is wiped off during the flashing process, just reflash with odin, using PDA file of may be xxkb2 only, should do the job. Happened with me once, but getting into down load mode should not be the issue, try three button combo.

Your phone is hard bricked. Just go to samsung centre & tell them a fake reason. Anyway this incidence will teach u a lesson that dont do hurry in work about which u have half knowledge.
Hey there is a hard reset button for I9003 !! Open the back case of ur phone and check between THE CAMERA LENS and SPEAKER.. there is a small button (It is really very small). All that you have to do is take a pin and keep that button pressed while using the download mode combo. You will need two people for this. Once your phone enters download mode flash with a stock firmware. I flashed with XXKPE and it worked for me ( I had bricked mine after flashing XXKPH over Cranium ROM 2.2)...
before 20 mins i was surfing xda using tapatalk whith my sgr with wifi connected, than i put my phone and gone away for just a moment and after that when i picked up my phone it was maybe switched off, i thought its gone hang so i tried reseting phone with long pressing power button but no luck, than i removed battery re inserted it but my phone is not powering up, i tried connecting both charger and usb cable but nothing its f...ked up.
now main problem is i cant give it to SSC as i was running XWLA4 build with titanium and unknownzd's kerne any suggestions guys? plz suggest
(i have tried inserting usb jig after re inserting battery but its not powering up)
EDIT: my odin counter is 0, is there any way to flash all the data stored on phone (including system memory) so that i can claim in ssc that its not booting, and after they boot it they dont find that its using custom stuff?

sorry, i think you are in problem nothing we can do now better take it to Service Center..
You can try repair dead APX mode method if you have a backup of your efs folder. Tried that once just to reset counter, maybe it could bring your phone back from the dead.

But do you have a backup of efs, otherwise there is no point trying that.

i do have backup. i just wanna boot my phone in download phone so that i can flash stock indian and atleast can dive in ssc
update: just phone booted in download mode but not able flash using odin its saying error: nand size big
My R died once too, but when I removed sdcard and put it in a freezer for like 10 minutes and then I could boot it up and it was working as long as I didn't turn the screen off - it was enough to do a backup and so on.
Stupid questions, but are you following the guide in 4-5th post? Did the steps above Odin went fine? Last but not the least are you using PIT file to re-partition with Odin?

Maybe you could try the process again just one more time to be sure, only if you want. I'd prefer taking it to ssc

finally my phone is booted perfectly, restored cwm backup and now its going ok but my imei is messed up, my whole 3.5 gb internal sd has been flashed (it was full of game data files which i took many night times to download )
if i want now i can claim a BRAND NEW MOTHERBOARD as my imei is messed lol
Didn't you restore the efs folder? That should solve the imei issue.

Hi Guys,
I was on ICS and was going to wipe out everything and reinstall everything fresh. I got stuck on the Icy glitch Kernel and so I decided to use ODIN and go back to stock. I think the extraction of Odin was not done properly and as a result when I flashed it did all the steps but when it got to the reset step the phone did not reboot. And now it is totally unresponsive,
Is there anything I can do to revive it?

Which Odin back to Stock did you use ? Can u still get into download mode ? Does your phone show any signs of life at all...even when plugged into a wall charger ?

Well if your phone isn't even booting up then u might have to resort to puting it in download either using a JIG OR using a three button method that can be found somewhere in the forums or through google. I am in a state of fear, fear that if i turn off my phone and turn it back on it wil go straight into emergency mode.
Its very wierd,my pc running on windows 7 doesnt recognise my phone(all drivers are intact and installed) in both emergency mode and booted mode and even when the phone is off and i plug in usb,the yellow screen of emergency just pops up. Also i cant boot my phone cause one touch at the power button and yellow screen pops up. The good news though is,after countless attempt at taking out battery then inserting it again and trying to power on,the phone wil boot normaly again. And one more wierd thing is, if wen inserting the usb,the emergency screen doesnt pop up(happens rarely) but lg logo does,then my laptop recognises my phone,and in this way i change my rom from OpenOptimus 2.2.01 to stock v2.3 using kdz updater. Right now its booted and runing normaly except for usb mass storage mode and usb tethering(cuz my laptop doesnt recognize my phone)

Let's try and go through the options.
Was it always like this with the yellow screen? WHat did you do to get it there?
Try a reset in settings manually. This will bring it back to brand new state.
Hopefully we will be able to resolve this.

Wel i am nt realy sure how and wen the problem started.
As far as i remembered my phone had the folowing.
1. Cmw recovry(from rom manager)
2. Link2sd wit 500 mb ext2 partition in sd card.
3. Open optimus rom 2.2.02
4. Set cpu to enhance gaming.
And as far as i remember, the problem started wen i tried to boot into cmw recovery.

Try this,
Switch off the phone then,turn on the phone pressing and holding Power + Home + Down volume key at the same time (for five seconds), the phone will turn on and perform factory reset immediately.

Maybe, it is a hardware issue. The phone being physically broken? Because if the prob persists even after a reset and a flash, well I am a bit unsure.
Could it be the bootloader?and if so, is there a way to fix it back to factory setting? Cuz i dnt think it wil boot at all if its hardware problem.

Anyway, it could be a small hardware issue like disconnected wire or broken circuit or somthing.
You could try and re-lock the bootloader.
definitely hardware failure coz my ancient z71 acting almost juz like that before
