Cross-posting this from the LG G2X Cyanogen forums.
In case you missed it there is now a bounty on issue 4105 aka "no bluetooth stereo". As of this writing it's over $100 and though that probably won't cover the hours it takes to track down the Bluetooth driver and port it, it will buy a few cases of beer to celebrate.
I'd post a link, but I can't yet because I'm a newb - so you'll have to trust me.
Is this even possible??? Would they have to make a driver from scratch??? If it is possible and legit im down for adding to the pot.
It was my understanding that nVidia needed to release the source code for their drivers to get this to happen? I'm not holding my breath on that happening. I would really like to see the Bluetooth issues worked out though.

..maybe NVidia wants the $100
Anything is possible. It's not easy, and very Time consuming, to reverse engineer drivers.

Lol that's awesome
That is the pretty ****ty thing about NVidia. If they are going to keep their doors closed then at least provide updated drivers frequently.
Maybe when Tegra 3 comes out they'll release Tegra 2.
I've seen so many devs so so many near impossible things here are XDA that I know someone will crack it. I think they are just being lazy now (which is smart) because why waste time and energy if NVidia will release it shortly? But now that we're finding out that it probably won't happen that hopefully they'll start crackin' on it.
I would add to the pot if someone can provide a link

That will be next to impossible. Nvidia is not open source friendy.
I think this will work. If many are doubting, better check out hd2 android...

To write a driver, you need a register set. Apparently that is part of the IP NVidia isn't up-ing, at least not without an NDA. Without a register set, have fun...
So if you signed the NDA, get the register set description (which may come with sample code), wrote a lib, and posted the lib (but not the source code) here, would that violate the NDA?
I would add to the pot as well. I would LOVE to see this happen.

No, that should not violate the NDA. The NDA covers the source code they provide to you to develop your products. The work product is okay to distribute as long as you don't disclose the source code.
I will donate of we find somone that is capable. Maybe we can drag another dev into a g2x as a result as well. Love this phone. Hopefully more will realize its superior smoothness to the crapsation.

Ill trow down $30 on the pot.
I would definitely chip in for the bounty as well if someone could get a2dp/bluetooth to work. I've been pretty disappointed with my g2x and it's because of this.

I have persevered with the O3D because of the wonderful people in this forum, but unfortunately today I had to let go of the phone that I come to Love and hate, Good luck to everyone and I hope LG will put out soon a fix.
Thank you all who worked hard to make this phone experience better, and also thank you for everyone who posted and helped when I needed guidance.
good luck man
What happened?
ghost call issue and cannot forgive LG .
I intend to quit playing with LG.

Thank you for all your helpful posts, especially for the "ghost calls" issue of O3D.
However, weren't you invited to the LG head office this Wednesday in order to investigate the problem? Did they cancel the invitation or you decided not to go?

It turned out all they wanted to do is to reset the phone and put 20B, which I told them I already did, I explained that the phone functions perfectly under froyo, so this is how I am sure that there is something wrong with their update to gingerbread.
so, I don't have the phone anymore, I am sorry I can't elaborate anymore on the issue, all I can say I walked into their headquarters with contempt towards LG products and I walked out wanting to try out LG again in the future as they do stand by their products after all.

Sad to hear that you are leaving mate, but even more sad is to hear that those "#@$%#@*@#" can't admit that the issue exists. Different than you LG is not a possibility for me in the future, and it's sad cause I guess they will be the only one with a new 3D phone in 2012. So I guess I will have to forget about 3D phones in the end of the year when I plan to replace O3D.
BTW good luck with a new device.

Sorry to hear mate...
I guess 20b just does not play nice with Vodafone - gotta say that my reception has been nothing short of perfect on 20b w/ Optus. As I've posted before - I'm amazed that after trying ALL the GB roms (via kdz) this one is the only working rom.
In 4 weeks I have not had one missed or dropped call, no ghost calls and no loss of data connection.
Again I can't explain it but I'm very happy - really sorry to hear that it never got resolved for you...best of luck with your next phone!

Thanks for the info. As a matter of fact, I didn't expect a different outcome. It's true that the local LG offices are very good and fast when it comes to service the phones but their help is limited when it is about such problems which can only be solved by the software engineers of the LG headquarters.
Kudos for your optimism, too. For me, this will be the last LG smartphone. It's now more than clear that while their hardware is one of the best, LG seriously lacks on the software development department.
Good luck man! All the best on your next phone!
p.s. Pardon my English... and I'll continue flaming LG's fb....

Nice, thanks for posting
Finally (maybe) no more limping ICS builds here.
Ya, let's hope one of the devs are still around when it's released =P
This sounds too good to be true... Especially because I can't read Korean...
LG is having a laugh at their customers' expense. I've never seen a company SO inept at just giving a fscking "YES" or "NO" answer about a product.

I posted this in another thread but our good friend Paul O'Brien's sources say it's "imminent" for the 2X
The will-it-wont-it saga over the Ice Cream Sandwich updates for LG devices has been rolling on for months, but now, thankfully, we've had word from our LG insider on what's REALLY happening!
The news is good. Ice Cream Sandwich updates are nearing completion and will be released imminently for the Optimus 2X, Optimus 3D and Optimus Black! Exact dates are still not forthcoming, but we'll keep you posted with more news as we get it.
I'm really happy for LG users that this is going to happen, the support so far has been pretty shocking and LG really could do with turning it around.

Well here's hoping the LG Insider is right. If he is that means fully supported ICS for the T-Mo G2X once the devs get their hands on it. Not that I am complaining at all about HFP but it would be nice to run a fully supported ICS on the G2X.
Seems I heard this a few times before. I'll believe it when I see... Wait. I got rid of my G2x.
But just for arguments sake that this is true. They are in a testing phase. Which means the earliest this would be release to T-Mobile is what, Jan-Feb. and then they have to test it. So what, the 2 year anniversary of the device? I got my G2x on pre-order. It's been dead. Sorry, but I can't see this being offered as an official update.
No place in the article does it mention an "official update" coming. Seems the articles writer is jumping the gun in this one.
It won't ever be official for TMobile..suppose to be just for Korean o2x correct? But that's when devs can try and port it for those of us remaining hopeless souls

As you may know, Google has announced the dev preview of Android O: https://android-developers.googleblog.com/2017/03/first-preview-of-android-o.html .
When the G4 Plus was announced, it was confirmed to have an Android O update. I just thought I would bring this back up. Now we just need to see if Lenovo will keep their promise, and how long we will have to wait after O is released. :good:
Most haven't even gotten nougat yet can't wait to see this
You maaaybe will see O by July of 2018. Maaaybe.
Anyway, I'm still kinda excited to see if we'll get a port of the preview here on XDA, fingers crossed!
Or, maybe (and I use this lightly) they'll skip N altogether and jump us on O straight out. (One can only dream...)

Dude do you even read the BS you are linking to? That link clearly states this poster is leaked. If you reverse search the image all you get is a bunch of sketchy android websites all quoting each other. Not a single one connects the poster directly to motorola. So, again, I challenge you to do that and find verifiable information directly from Motorola that the G4 will be updated to O.

That poster is absolutely real. I have it in physical because it came with my G4 plus and it was also being used as promotion in the store where Lenovo staff where working. So yes, the "BS" you are arguing is fake it's actually real. You should consider informing yourself first before being rude to a person who actually has some proof, and also read the XDA guidelines where it says you have to be polite and nice with others around here. If you want more proof I can show a photo of the poster. Good night.
Meanwhile some days back I had a bit of chat with the moto care and according to this operator, athene (xt1643) will get N 7.1 which will fix the problems users face with N 7.0 it'll be good if it happens and we have the 7.1 ROMs already.

Here is OnePlus' official statement clarifying what'll happen to the developer seeding program:
"Apologies, we weren’t as clear as we could have been. We’ve temporarily scaled back our developer program while we work out how to make it even better in the future. We’ll be updating the selection criteria and communication channels with developers in our seeding program for better co-operation. We will restart the program and select Devs based on the new criteria and will work on providing the best possible support to community development efforts for OnePlus devices." – OnePlus Spokesperson
