I have Hboot 1.27
latest official HTC 3.32.531.14 (U.S. T-Mobile) firmware
S-On
Running latest Bricked Kernel
Rooted & Unlocked HTC dev method
I have flashed AOKP Eye Candy Stock ICS Rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1615560
After flashing the ROM the WiFi and USB "disk drive" do not work.
There is no instance of the USB being an issue anywhere, and the Wifi problem was fixed two builds ago.
I have:
Wiped cache & dalvik.
Tried different kernels.
Tried an earlier build.
I believe I either have the wrong firmware, (3.32) or I need to be S-off, I spent hours trying to do the wire trick. No Luck.
Any advice would be appreciated.
you also need to wipe data factory reset and wipe cash and dalvik. I don't know much about s on. As I am s off. But I do know you must do a full wipe unless comming from a different version of eye candy. Maybe this will help. I know s on flashes different than soff. I wish I could be of more help. Best wishes.
Your firmweare is correct.

Thank you for the reply, I did a full wipe each time we flashed a new ROM. No one else is reporting Wifi/USB problems.
The only problem that I'm not liking about eye candy is that its really slow when switching from app to app.I believe this is because of the governor. If anyone knows of a fix please let me know.

What govenor are you using? You can change govenor in ROM control also change your cpu. Go to settings, ROM control and switch from their. I have no problem using badass govenor with bricked kernel. If you want even faster speed use ondemand. Hope this helps! Go to performance under ROM control

Hey could you please the link to the governor and kernel that you are running for I can download them and try them out. Thanks...

Hi no need to link its a option now in the newest version of eye candy during aroma installation. Just pick their new bricked kernel option then when installed go to ROM control pick your govenor their and set cpu speeds in same area. Hope this helps! Under rom control its under performance.

Im having issues that the lockscreen is freezing up so i have to pull out the battery to make it work again
You can't make such a bold statement, and not include info like what ROM you're running and other relevant info. There's also no need to start a new thread...there's already a thread on the Gingerbread kernel in the development section.
So, because you're having problems, you want to warn everyone on problems that no one else is having??..
Faux's kernels are working just fine for me.
Faux's Kernels are fine. Update and don't listen to this Guy.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App and a perfectly working Faux Kernel.
WOW. Really, Really ???
Running without a kernel...That's amazing...
Faux's kernels are rock solid...Running 2.5.1 since release and NO issues...
then why has my mytouch freezing alot when i get it out of sleep
Plus i am on RoyalGinger V1.6
OP is an idiot. Faux kernel works fantastic. If you have problem with the rom, ask in the rom thread. Don't try and talk about something you don't understand.

Had problems with it the other day. Running stock rom. Kept losing signal and data. Wifi stopped after about 10 minutes and had to restart the phone just to get it working again. Went back to what I was using before and problem went away.
Not sure what the real deal was as I have NEVER had a problem with his kernal.

The kernel being discussed here is faux's Gingerbread version.
Wouldn't it be great if there was a Mytouch 4G forum that was specifically for roms, kernals, and any other type of hacking? Oh wait there is one and this thread is in the wrong forum.

you're a retard.. the reason why your phone is freezing on lockscreen, is cause you either have setcpu installed & have your screen off settings too low! don't have Max set below 368, which 245 freezes your phone! set min& Max to 368 and you will not get any freeze ups and save a lot of battery also! try it!
just don't make a thread about smashing someone's kernal who works so hard to make it for us! faux has great kernals, & you should give him the credit.
Lol sorry. Was on latest cm when tried it. Long day forgot what all I went through with this. Went back to stock rom after it was screwing up. Prolly try again with cm and this kernal. Think maybe it was a bad download causing the problem for me. Although would think I would get some kind of error when installing it.

This thread is full of nubness.
+1000 for not reading. Not searching. Posting in the wrong section.... and thinking faux would ever fail us lowly 4g users.

First check whatever Rom is fully downloaded. Then check to make sure you fully downloaded the kernel. Make sure you have the proper kernel for your rom. Make sure you wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache. Then install the proper kernel when it boots up let everything load for 4-5 minutes then reboot. If your using a low voltage version try stock version. Also use the cfs kernel and not bfs since your phone is lagging.

I switched to MIUI a few days days ago, and I've been loving it so far. But I have been having a couple of issues.
Every so often my phone restarts for no reason. Sometimes when I'm in the settings application. Other times when I'm playing music. Regardless which music app I'm using, it'll restart my phone after 15-20 minutes.
My other issue is that my phone thinks its a Desire HD. is there a way to change
that? I can't access certain apps in the market because of that.
Thanks in advance.
I would try reflashing the rom. What kernal are you using with the rom and which version of MIUI? There is a discussion somewhere in the MIUI thread about changing the description in the build.prop file to make it show as an Inspire
I'm running miui 1.7.23. Not sure which kernel, probably the stock one. I haven't really read anything about the differences or why one is better than another.

It sounds like a bad rom flash. I would wipe data, cache, and dalvik cache. Then I would reload the rom. The stock kernal that comes with the latest rom needs to be updated with the latest Lordmod kern but it should not cause the problems you are having.
Hey guys!
I had to uninstall my Android Revolution ROM because of reboot issues :x and well i also gave CM7 a try but since its in alpha i had alot of issues with the battery draining way too fast (cleared the stats and everything).
After CM7 failing i tried Android Rev again since there was an update and i had 3.0.4 and never really bothered to check the thread to see if there were updates so i installed 3.6.1 and then put the No Sense mod over it (lets face it. Sensation cant run Sense 3.0 as well as the EVO 3d, insufficient RAM?) and battery was draining way fast and random lock ups -> reboots. Uninstalled that ROM and tried Android Revolution WITH sense 3.6.1 and again... lock ups and reboots.
Yes i installed all the kernels and Radios suggested with each ROM
ANYWAYS the questions i wanted to ask before derailing my own thread:
1) When i loaded up my first backup before any of the ROMS i had installed, did the original kernels and radios flash back and everything went back to how i had it? (read: laggy sense UI and poor efficient use of the phones resources, hurry up stable CM7 D
2) how can i OC stock Sensation to 1.5ghz? Its rooted and it has the original everything (IM ASSUMING) also i have SetCpu which i downloaded.
i have tried some methods via command prompt through the computer but lets face it, im a retard, kept saying something about access being denied so i couldnt install some kernel to flash it. Im used to just going to the CWM and installing from ZIP and presto kernel installed.
PS: if its of any use... Kernel Version is 2.6.35.13 - g3422292 [email protected] #1
PSS: really i heard that 1.5ghz OC and Undervolted was the most efficient for battery life, temperature and performance so this is what im looking for but open to suggestions. yes ive looked everywhere and i couldnt get to install it
Anyone? :x

1. When you restore a nandroid everything goes back to default including the kernal. The only thing stays the same is the radio and s off.
2. The reason you can't overclock is because you have the stock kernal, I don't think it is overclockable.
So if you want to OC it try a new kernal.

Thank you so much lol. But do i have to look for kernels compatible for stock? My battery has lasted a long time since stock.
What about returning to the original radio?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Most if not all work well with stock. Try fauxs123's or bricked.
But I'm not sure about the radio be really careful with radios too. I heard if you get a bad download it can brick pretty easy. So I haven't messed with those.
I'll look for a guide for you.

First off noone answered you because it is a huge no no to post questions in the dev section.
Have you wiped cache and dalvik cache?
What kind of Rom are you using?? Cm7, sense 3.0 or 3.5? Make sure your flashing a compatible kernel both faux and showp have a different kernel for both. Some Sense 3.5 kernels have an extra step involved to get everything right.
HTC clays Rom is very old and is now unsupported it may not be compatible with the newer kernels. You can try flashing faux's first time kernel first (which flashes some updated libs) before flashing the kernel you want. It may work.
What recovery are you using? Don't know if it matters, but you need to be specific when asking questions.

First...huge thanks to you all... I've been lurking, searching, reading, and learning from everyone here for weeks, before pulling the trigger and successfully rooting my 3.02.502.52 build Inspire 4G...
First and only ROM I've flashed so far is TrickDroid 4.0.0....it works great! But I've experienced the phone tinniness mentioned by other users, and wanted EQS...so I wiped caches and flashed latest Tweaks pkg 4.0.4, incl Inspire patch. This made the ROM noticeably faster and smoother...but I lost the ability to use phone and SMS altogether... When attempting either I get "Unfortunately Phone Has Stopped"...or "Unfortunately Messages Has Stopped"...unable to send or receive either...
I've read others with similar issues with the phone, but not exactly...
I decided to full wipe and reflash the ROM and Tweaks pkg, including Inspire patch, and restore HTC phone this time... That is sweet...it opens the dialer much smoother...can dial and connect, but no sound...
I've read others having the prob with no sound, but fixed it with the patch... My issue doesn't happen until after I flash tweaks...should I not use the patch??
I apologize for the question...and for posting here...I'm a noob, and I hate myself...
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda app-developers app
Also...if I want to try out different combinations, or change user options in the tweaks pkg, do I need to full wipe/reflash ROM/reflash Tweaks?? Or can I simply clear caches and reflash Tweaks w/o reflashing the ROM...
*facepalm*
:$
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda app-developers app
Well...if anyone ever reads this having the same issue, I resolved it by reflashing tweaks with no options other than EQS and restore HTC dialer...
But I wised up and flashed Viper 1.2.3 a couple days ago, and that is just so much better....still by Torxx, and way more stable...way better tweaks, and an awesome interface for installing and changing them!!
Just use that one....lol...
