Some how my SD card does not show the update file. I'm able to copy the update zip file to the sd card, I can see the file if I search the card, but when rebooting with cw .8 the zip file does not sow. Any ideas why and how to fix. TX
Move the update.zip to a location in the internal storage of you gtab, then browse to it from cw.
I have already done so. I have flash my G tablet since NOV 2010 multiples time, and never have any issues. The ZIP file is there, I can browse it it I use sniffer and es explorer and so on. But once I boot the system on recovery mode , it is not there anymore, cw does not find it.
make sure the file is .zip and not .rar.
roebeet packages his files in .rar
Still does not work, even after repacking files into a ZIP file.
Just a shot here, but by "SD card" do you mean your external/removable SD card? Because when Clockwork is talking about the SD card, it really means the storage partition of the internal memory. So, if by chance you copied the update zip to the removable card, you won't find it. If that's the case, connect your gTab to your computer with the USB cable and move it over to the internal memory. Should work from there.
Solved !!!. I just need to unzip the folder ans install only the "update" zip on the sd card since I'm using cw 8.
My CWM is pointed to my external SD card, so I can't install new ROMs, etc. How do I get CMW to point to the internal SD card when I boot into recovery? Thanks.

Hello. I was preparing for a full wipe of my phone (Galaxy S3 i9300) for a clean flash for my next ROM. So I did was I got a SD Card Reader and plugged my SD Card in and put it in a laptop to copy the files, while suddenly, my SD Card got corrupted. I tried to format the SD Card with the same SD Card Reader (not knowing the Card Reader was faulty) but it made things worse. So, I took a different Card Reader, and formatted the SD Card and now all seems well. Until, when I put the .ZIP file in the SD Card, put the SD Card on my phone, and install .ZIP from SD Card on my phone using TWRP (2.8.6.1), it displays the error "E: Zip file is corrupt!" So naturally, I restarted the phone into recovery, formatted the SD Card using TWRP, changed the file system to FAT (vfat) and it displays the error "E: Unknown MTP message type: 1", then I tried repairing the file system, and it was successful. So I did was put the .ZIP in the SD Card again and try it again, with no luck.
I have already used all of these to format the SD Card and the phone still thinks the .ZIP file from the SD Card is corrupted:
Diskpart
Chkdsk
EaseUs Master Partition
Windows Format
SD Formatter (v4.0)
---------------------------------------
TL;DR
Phone got fully wiped, SD Card got corrupted while transfering files because of faulty Card Reader, SD Card got formatted a lot of times, Finally got the SD Card running, but now, if I put it inside the phone, it thinks the .ZIP File from the SD Card is corrupted.
What should I do?
p.s. (I already downloaded the same .ZIP file multiple times to make sure it was healthy, and it is)

Yes, the .zip file does work. I can open it on my pc
Sadly, I can't get a new SD Card. Mainly because I need this SD Card because it is a 32GB SDHC Class 10 SanDisk SD Card, and it's not cheap to get a new replacement (of the same SD Card).
I would like to know how to fix this corrupted SD Card. Because everytime I plug it into my PC (and use Windows Check Drive for Errors, and Chkdsk) and find there's no errors. And then when I finished placing the files into the SD Card, when I plug it the next time, everything got corrupted, but Windows still does not detect any errors on the drive..... wut

Copy paste via USB cable? The ZIP might be corrupted in a way that the script is broken or somehing. Try copypasting the file via USB and if that doesn't work download a different ZIP.

Hi,
Iam using philZ touch 6 to install new rom. I have deleted the old rom to install cyanogenmod. i have the cyanogenmod files on external sd card. but there is no sd card being showed in PhilZ touch 6 there is only
- Choose zip from /Sdcard
but no external sd card
Hi,
Your sd card may be corrupt.
You could make a copy of anything important on it , format it , and try again
Good luck!
Who keeps their TWRP backups on the external SD card?
Yup, I'm finding that AFT will not allow me to open up the SD card when I have a TWRP directory with backups on the SD card, and I am booted to the System! I can open the SD card up when I am in TWRP.
Anyone else?
