Iam using philZ touch 6 to install new rom. I have deleted the old rom to install cyanogenmod. i have the cyanogenmod files on external sd card. but there is no sd card being showed in PhilZ touch 6 there is only
- Choose zip from /Sdcard
but no external sd card
Hi,
Your sd card may be corrupt.
You could make a copy of anything important on it , format it , and try again

couple of days ago I partiotioned my sd card by rom manager (created an ext partiotion).. since i did that, i cant take photos ("Unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient permissions"), and i cant use nandroid backup (cant save on the sd card)..
what should i do? format the sd card and flash rom?

I have fixed error install zip from card ... actually in s2 you have to put custom and gapp. in external SD card ... in cwm it will detect as install zip from SD card.... enjoy

I am trying to install a ROM (Revolver) but when I boot into recovery and select "chose zip from SD card" it only show files like Alarm\, Android\, and application folders on the tablet and not the contents of the microSd card. Does anyone know what is going on and how I can get to the .zip files on the microSD card?

That version of recovery doesn't read external SD cards, only internal, you'll need to upgrade to Rouge XM or another that supports external.
i was on twrp 2.8.7.0 and installed http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...w-rom-t3258489. then formatted my sd card as internal storage. today i wanted to update to the latest build of kushan rom, but in twrp my sd card was listed as 0 mb and i couldnt enter it. so i decided to flash latest cwm trough rom manager. after flashing cwm my internal sdcard was wiped(not by me-automaticly) and now marshmellow tells me that te sd card is not supportet...please format.....
i think that as the cwm wiped my sd card "the unique? encrpytion key?" got lost and therefor i cant axcess the sd card. im i right?
if yes i hope the encryption key is not unique and i can recover the files on the sd card
i think u can't acces it without the decript key .thats the purpose of a key .

I installed CM13 ported for my Alcatel Pixi 4 (5) 5010.
Everything works fine, excepting the camera and the external SD Card. But the camera doesn't count so much. I want to make my phone detect and use the SD Card. There is a file mmcblk1, wich I think is kinda connected with the card. If I use apps like Aparted, Parted4Android and Mount2SD the SD card is founded. But wathever option I select(mount, delete, format, create) still no SD Card directory created. Is there something I can do?
The SD Card is detected by other devices. I also formated it in NTSF, FAT32, FAT16, ext4, ext3 and still no resolved. But it is founded in TWRP Recovery.

PS: I also installed other ROMS and all detected the card. But this is the only one having root. (Can't root this phone, not even by flashing zip files.)
