If you obtain drop box storage illegitimately, they will ban your account and your phone IMEI lol. Not a good trade off.

I've had my 75gb since day 1. 25 hox 50 gsIII. Of course 25 was legit, 50 wasn't. And they are both attached to my paid account. I know I read where they were taking them back. Doubt they would ban my account since they get a monthly from me. We'ii see I guess

I have a legit 78 MB myself. I'll lose 50 of that in a year I think.
I have 50 GB from Box, but last time I looked it was so hard to use, no auto upload integration etc. Has that improved?

You could lucky and not get banned or taken away. There are just a couple people who have reported to have been banned. I was honestly going to do it, I'm all for getting free stuff. But I don't want to lose all my drop box capabilities lol.

Another $10 from Google wallet?

I recently went back to stock unrooted after using Pete's ics for a few days and went to sign into Google wallet. I got a welcome email and also received another $10 credit as if it was my first time using this which is wasn't. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not complaing lol cause free money is free money; however, I really don't want to owe them in the end.
Spend that ten quickly before big brother find out.

Google Wallet seems to rely on the IMEI to determine if you are a new wallet user or not, despite using the same gmail account in gwallet on multiple devices, thus giving each device $10 in their wallet.
I bought my GNex in March, and installed wallet on it sometime after that for the first time ever. Of course, I got the $10. I didn't actually get to use it until recently, simply to not encoutnering anything that used NFC payments until I began attending college in Florida- all their vending machines are NFC enabled.
Shortly after starting school, my phone began acting very odd. Something was wrong with the battery controller, not the battery itself, resulting in very odd and frustrating battery issues. Anyways, I sent my phone in, since it was still under warranty, to be replaced. Kept the same SIM card, used the same gmail account on it, all that jazz.
Well, I of course put wallet back on it. To my surprise, the free $10 was given to me, even though I signed in with the same gmail account as on the faulty phone.
So, if you ever have to send in your device for replacement, spend that money before you do because you will probably get another 10.
Hey, we didn't do anything to exploit it. It's all on Google, here. Their mistake I suppose.
I did get any free money

Did you receive a survey invite from Smithgeiger about your OneS?

I just finished doing a satisfaction survey about my One S. It asks how you like it, what made you buy it and things you don't like about it. I made it pretty clear I wasn't satisfied with this phone the way it is now. The bloatware, the signal problems, the gps jumping all over the place and the wifi/4g bug after the newest update.
After I was done with the survey I qulified for a moderated forum, I must attend the forum for 3 days straight, twice a day for a total of 30-60 minutes. I will receive a $50 voucher once completed, the forum will be announced at a future date.
DO THE SURVEY, LET THEM KNOW WE DON'T WANT THE BLOATWARE AND THAT THE UPDATE SCREWED THE PHONE UP.
I got that survey also. And I let them know about all the bloat as well

Same here, and let loose with both guns about the bloatware, and how I feel about their capping data, but also installing apps that can't be disabled that use data.
At the end I was told I qualified for a follow up study I would be paid $50 to complete. Anyone else get that? I haven't been sent the info on the study yet, though.

You have to get a personal invite via email. I found mine sitting in my spam box yesterday. I complained about everything except I forgot about them removing free tethering. I too took up the invite for the $50 followup.
I got this too. Before even visiting xda. I answered it all and mentioned the bloatware and sensitive screen and battery size. (Not that I have battery issues but still) I also went for the $50 offer still waiting on the confirmation email.

Still nothing about the followup. Anyone get their info yet? I want my $50

I haven't. Sure was nice of them to get our hopes up. Of course, I haven't gotten my $50 rebate or the $100 for trading in my Shadow II yet either. I'm about ready to try the GS3 (maybe it will actually do some things properly) so add all my One S accessories to the list, and this has turned into a very expensive lesson (along the lines of: The HD2 must be the exception, cause HTC + Tmobile = Fail).
Nope. Me neither. I gave them a call and i was told if i don't receive by the end of the month(steadily approaching) to call back and they will get it situated. Other than that. No help. Seemed like they didn't even have access to any basic information.

AT&T HTC One X Phone Storage only 10GB??AT&T HTC One X Phone Storage only 10GB??

AT&T HTC One X Phone Storage only 10GB??AT&T HTC One X Phone Storage only 10GB??
Hi,
I just bought HTC One X yesterday from AT&T for $199. After I went back to home, I found that the Phone Storage of my htc one x is only 9.93GB. That's TOOOOOO small for a smart phone without removable SD card availability.
Is there any problem with my phone? Or is it the way it is?
So sad now.... I even want to return my phone and change to Samsung Galaxy SIII....
Also, someone mentioned that in Amazon and Walmart, AT&T HOX only sell about $120. Is that HOX the same as the one that I bought in AT&T store for $199?
Thanks

Really doesn't matter. Its only free for a year then you have to pay. Kind of pointless if you ask me. I pretty much use Google services for everything i need...
Google music allows you to store an astronomical amount of music for free and available to listen to on the go...
Google plus will back up all of your photos for you on the fly and store them in the cloud indefinitely.
The hitch I see with the amount of memory is being limited on storing multiple roms and twrp backups...
Honestly the way I switch phones I figure it won't be long before I have something new in my hands with removable memory....
Or maybe won't but I'll survive either way.

Because at one point, the promo was real (I got it). It seems that one of the parties opted out right after the HOX went on sale.
You'd think att and Verizon would encourage cloud storage due to increasing data usage. I guess that could go either way though. Increased data usage mean more people sopping up bandwidth but also means more $$$ in their pocket...

Three UK deal

Hey guys,
Since I already posted this in another thread, I thought I would post a new topic just in case anyone misses it.
I've got a friend working in Three who is able to get yourself the S4 at £35 a month but can also give you a £30 credit and some extra minutes too :good:
If anyone is interested then feel free to give me a message
Just out of curiosity, has anyone bought the phone from Three yet? How was your experience?
BTW this isn't just exclusive to the S4, there's other phones too.

After a few PM's with several other members I thought I'd post how this works...
I simply forward your phone number and name to someone who works in Three's direct sales department based in Glasgow. They'll contact you at a specified time and discuss the phone, the plan and the offer with you. It is up to you whether you want to place your order right there and then or place the order at another time. The order must be placed over the phone however in order to qualify for the deal as this is the only way they can add the credit and minutes to the account.
Contact me for more information if you are interested :good:
As for why I'm posting this here, let's just say I owe this person a favor
Basically DarkStones mate will be getting a commison from each of you. Which I personally think is a nice thing to do, just a shame im mates with my local store manager so already have mine ordered.

This actually makes sense considering it's a T-Mobile ROM but I would think that the APN would prevent this check from validating? Excellent find if this is 100% true!

I'm not trying to be a party pooper here guys, but be careful with this. Certain carriers, including AT&T (US) have opted out of the Dropbox promotions. Now normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but the promotions are for free space "if" you are on certain carriers. The drop box folks have been known to get a little upset when free space is activated on non-qualified phones. I've seen it happen in the Skyrocket forums. Personally, I think it is great, but it's not the kind of thing I would be advertising openly (maybe PMs for more info would be better) and I'm not sure how the forum rules apply here either. Just giving a heads up maybe it's nothing to worry about, but I wouldn't take chances.
When using this tmobile rom on at&t how do you install the LTE apn settings for AT&T?
Sent from my SGH-I337 using xda premium
