If you are running Khasmek's awesome K-Lean V2 for CDMA here is a minor theme for it! Its an Orange theme based on GenerationX for the Samsung I9000.
Boot into Khasmek's red recovery and install .zip from SDcard! (no need to rename to update.zip, just install zip from sdcard, choose zip from sdcard and find the file)
Changes include full framework-res, Settings.apk, default font, and Services.jar edits. It is patched for Transparency.
ALWAYS do a backup.

First boot may take a while as the services.jar edit causes boot to take a bit longer then usual. do not panick, remember you made a backup! RIGHT!?
I'm not responsible blah blah blah... I'll be adding more themed apps as I go, but if JT and Khas get CM7 up and running I'll probably move to that as well.
Everyone thank Khasmek for a FAST *ss ROM and Kernel... glad to see some dev work on the CDMA version of this... thanks bud!
(also no need to wipe data, if you have any issues (which you shouldn't), try wiping dalvik cache ONLY and try booting again)
Enjoy!
OH, by the way, it looks best with LCD density set to 240 instead of 180... IMO.
This is so cool bro! Love this theme, using this theme. Thinking about proposing to this theme.
You're the man.
Yaay finally a theme for the VZW tab. And the K-lean theme too!
Got it installed, looks great. Thanks!

Yeah !
Just wanted to say thanks to you all for all your hard work so far with the Verizon tab, as we all know there really isnt much out for it as far as roms go and to see Boush and you themers finally making it happen is awesome, thank you guys again !! I am going to try the orange theme today can't wait. Also if there's anything I can do as far as testing etc. lemme know Ive been lurking for a while and really appreciate the stuff you guys do. Thanks, Jason
Edit: Is it ok to use clockwork mod recovery to do this ? I tried and can't get it to work this way, what other way is there to do it ?
what's Khasmeks red recovery ? referred to in first post of this thread ...anyone ? I can get into clockwork recovery all day long and tried to wipe dalvik cache...still no dice
Can anyone answer this? I've flashed stuff before using heimdall and am not completely dumb when it comes to this...
Can someone give me a hand I feel like I'm talking to.myself

The prerequisites for this appear to be Boushh's KhasMek voodoo kernel/recovery and K-Lean ROM, both of which have their own threads in the Galaxy Tab Android Development forum. If you havn't done those yet then I would assume that this theme will not work for you until you have taken care of that.
I have been putting off trying out the K-Lean ROM due to the required factory reset, but it looks like I might need to try it tonight now that themes are appearing for it.
Offered for German Theme Tab
Is that offered theme for the German Galaxy Tab are very good.

not working
I have K lean mod v2 and voodoo kernel on my tab and ive tried bootstrap recovery, choose zip from sd card and scroll down to KhasOrange I think its called I try to apply the zip and the installation is immediately aborted, nothing happens. Not sure what Im doing wrong.
Edt: I was thinking of renaming the file update.zip even you say not to in the installation instructions...would doing that be ok to do ? or not help at all ?
Got it !
I figured out my problem and I think it may be worth mentioning that you need to have the must up to date vodoo kernel in order to get this. I finally figured out what Khasmeks "red" recovery is !! Love the theme so far and hope that this means that the door is opened for more themes for our verizon devices.
Great theme!
By the way I only have Boushh's kernel in my tab, not his rom. 10 min of use, everything right so far. Will post again tomorrow.

Good job compiling this. I have all of those myself and can attest to their effectiveness. Thanks for putting this together for the rest of the community!
Wow, just doing the renice tweak and adding the apps I used most drastically improved my performance.
Glad it's working well for you guys. Just compiled it when I was working haha love my job
My thanks are by mistake.(kinda assumed this would work for my phone too)
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2
All of these should work for your phone as none are really phone specific as for the renice one you can find a post about it somewhere on xda and edit it to your liking. SQLite, fugu, gemini/cache cleaner are all not phone specific.
My phone has been so laggy lately and the battery would drain so fast, it was very frustrating. Then I tried these 5 steps and the results are almost unbelievable! I unplugged my phone this morning and by the time I got done at work 9 hours later the battery was still at 80%! And no lag whatsoever.

I did these steps and I noticed that my phone is now faster I used to always gey redraws rather frequently, but I still get redraws, enough to still bother me. Advice on how to be faster? I am on stock FP1 rooted using twl.launcher as my main launcher and would like to keep this setup. I am willing to switch roms or anything, all I want is zero redraws, really hate it! Thanks and any advice is appreciated!!

Add this line to the end of your /system/build.prop and reboot.
Code:
ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1
That should help some. It may not eliminate it completely, but it'll be the best you can get.
Also, if you're stock, consider either manually debloating or installing a debloated rom. The less you have running in the background, the less likely your launcher will be to close.
Hey guys I am new to the charge. I really want to root but I have some concerns first. For one I have already replaced this phone twice since I got it. If I un-root it will Verizon notice I rooted it at all? Also how safe is it? I really don't want a $300 paper weight. I rooted my old sch-m828c from straightalk and the phone wouldn't connect to the computer anymore; is that a concern with the charge? As from the last sentence I have experience with odin but my old phone lost the root somehow and i was unable to boot it back to stock. Is the charge better about stuff like that? Please respond with any help. (Best mods, safest methods etc.) Thanks in advance!

well first off, you're in the right thread. To adress your concerns:
1) If you use odin to flash an unrooted firmware on your phone verizon will have no idea that you rooted your phone.
2) Your first flash is scary but it's really not that hard. Just always use the pda slot in odin and you'll be fine. I have only messed my phone up once and that was because I wasn't following instructions properly.
3) And this phone has a history of losing root on some custom roms but all you have to do is go to the superuser website and download their cwm flashable binary and you will regain root.
4) As for best mods etc. that's why I said you are in the right thread check the link in the OP for the full guide.
best rom imo is tweaked 2.2 with stock kernel.
feel free to ask any questions.
Are the kernel tweaks compatible with the stock kernel? Or should they be run manually via script manager? From what I've read only custom kernels offer init.d support.

You have to run through script manager.

Hey everyone! I'm a newb with boot animations and was wondering if someone could direct me to a tutorial on how to install custom ones? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I'm sorry, but you really couldn't Google this? No need to start a new thread. I don't mean to sound rude or something, but after being on this forum for a little while you'll learn that a lot of problems can be solved by seeking the answer yourself.
Make sure your rom supports custom boot animations. Download a boot animation of your choice. Copy the "bootanimation.zip" file and paste it in system/media. If you're like me and you have a bootanimation installer within your rom, you can just select the .zip and the work will be done for you. Alternatively, you could download an app that comes pre-loaded with a bunch of animations. Usually all you have to do is press the "install" button and it does the work for you.
Sent from my SR running Orthus Five
Surprisingly, I never thought about searching for an app for that. Thanks for the suggestion haha
Update: I downloaded Rom Toolbox Pro and tried using custom boot animations through that. For some reason my phone's boot animation will not change. No matter what I do, it stays on ATT's boot animation... idk what to do
Update: I found out that the ROM I'm running on isn't deodexed. Basically, I can't personalize anything that has to do with themes. I'm running on ICS 4.0.3. Any help on what to do is appreciated..

Try a JB rom? Might I recommend Orthus?

Is there a way to switch to that ROM without a computer? Mine aren't available at the moment. If so, I'd do it right now.

Yeah. Google "Orthus rom galaxy s2 skyrocket" and the xda link should be on the first page if not the first result. Download the zip for Orthus Five, download the gapps zip and download the boot loop fix zip. Make backups, preferably in both Nandroid and Titanium if you have the space. Boot the phone into recovery, factory restore and wipe cache and davlik, flash the Orthus zip, flash the gapps zip and flash the loop fix zip. Reboot your phone and set your basic data up (Google account, wifi password, etc). Sign into the play store and redownload Titanium and restore your apps. Keep your nandroid backup in case you want to return to whatever rom you're on now.

And trust me, the battery life will eventually improve. I moved to an S3 yesterday, and ironically I noticed a drastic change in my SR's battery life the afternoon before I traded it in took about a week to kick in but it gets better. If you like the rom, don't forget to go over to the Orthus discussion in general and thank Mindmajick! He or someone else watching the thread will undoubtedly be able to help you with any problem you could run into, as long as you're nice about it.

OK so what happened was I had the latest CM10 build installed and wanted to try the paranoid android rom out and I flashed my device with the 2.50 build. I soft bricked it. I could still go into recovery but the device wouldnt load into paranoid android. I had an emergency so I had to leave the device the way it was in a bootloop state I came back the device was off. Obviously It ran out of juice. And now when I try to charge it i don't get any response...... could this be a hard brick?? ??
please guys any help would bbe greatly appreciated!

Happened to once with a different model. Never had it fixed, as suggested by a technician, go to someone who has a JTAG. Same with what I was thinking, but I never bothered to had it fixed.
Good luck.

Well if I'm not mistaken I don't think there is jtag for our devices. well I fixed it now thank god! I took apart another p6200 and swapped out the batteries and as soon as I swapped them the one I thought was bricked booted up! I flashed the stock rom then rootedbit ahandball that now its working great! I guess it doesn't charge whenbits in a boot loop or something? Thanks man I really appreciate ur help

I just had this problem too and couldn't find any answers about what can I do to solve it...
I was trying to flash ICS ROM over Odin (I hate it), and it always stucked on the process. When I tried to reboot, it did just not woke up again!
What may have happened? Does someone knows what to do now?
I really don't know what to tell you... for me swapping out batteries fixed it but it was a real pain to do so. You could try keeping it plugged into the charger for a while and ssee if the screen powers on. If it does just put your tab in download mode and flash from Odin. Maybe u had a llow charge when you tried flashing stock?
