OK so what happened was I had the latest CM10 build installed and wanted to try the paranoid android rom out and I flashed my device with the 2.50 build. I soft bricked it. I could still go into recovery but the device wouldnt load into paranoid android. I had an emergency so I had to leave the device the way it was in a bootloop state I came back the device was off. Obviously It ran out of juice. And now when I try to charge it i don't get any response...... could this be a hard brick?? ??
please guys any help would bbe greatly appreciated!

Happened to once with a different model. Never had it fixed, as suggested by a technician, go to someone who has a JTAG. Same with what I was thinking, but I never bothered to had it fixed.
Good luck.

Well if I'm not mistaken I don't think there is jtag for our devices. well I fixed it now thank god! I took apart another p6200 and swapped out the batteries and as soon as I swapped them the one I thought was bricked booted up! I flashed the stock rom then rootedbit ahandball that now its working great! I guess it doesn't charge whenbits in a boot loop or something? Thanks man I really appreciate ur help

I just had this problem too and couldn't find any answers about what can I do to solve it...
I was trying to flash ICS ROM over Odin (I hate it), and it always stucked on the process. When I tried to reboot, it did just not woke up again!
What may have happened? Does someone knows what to do now?
I really don't know what to tell you... for me swapping out batteries fixed it but it was a real pain to do so. You could try keeping it plugged into the charger for a while and ssee if the screen powers on. If it does just put your tab in download mode and flash from Odin. Maybe u had a llow charge when you tried flashing stock?

Ok so I recently tried to flash a rom, can't remember which one but it was CWM flashable. I followed the instructions to flash it to the t. Something went wrong and wouldn't let me restore my backup so I just wiped everything hoping that would clear the issue but it didn't. Now the phone WILL NOT boot. It is stuck on the Galaxy S 4G (exclusively from t-mobile) Splash screen and won't budge. Won't go to recovery mode, download mode (tried several ways), nothing...please give me advice. I tried making a jig but it didn't work...I think I may have gotten the wrong resistors though. Tutorials say 301kohm and i picked up a five pack of 100kohm and twisted three together, cut open and old usb cable, etc; and it won't work....please please please help. This is my gf's phone. Please don't tell me i have to send it in for repair. FYI I'm no noob, I've flashed plenty of roms to her phone and such before and never had this problem.
Look at raverx3x's how to debrick without a jig thread

If you are still in the Galaxy S/T mobile splash screen then you ARE IN DOWNLOAD MODE.
Find an Odin ROM in the SGS4G Bible to flash and you should be good. If you still have problems with setup connection it might be a problem with your drivers.
I had an issue with drivers before and just downloaded Kies Mini off of Samsungs website. Kies will install the drivers for your phone
Yeah I think that may be the problem cause I read in another post that you can flash with Odin from that screen but couldn't get the comp to recognize the phone. Downloading kies mini now. Hopefully it will work.
Thank you so much for your help. I can't believe I didn't realize the driver thing...its always the little things you forget that matter the most. Lol. Thanks a lot man. Now successfully flashed with odin and booted up.

I also ended up switching to a fancy usb cable and I think that made a difference. Lol.

From what I have read (and my experience) on our forum these few+ months is that our original stock usb cable is DEPENDABLE and that aftermarket ones can cause problems for people. Just saying.
Your fancy one might have been enough to get the job done. But our stock usb cable is Proven. If you have it use it. I can say this with certainty.
EDIT**
Unless yours is defective our broken of course.

Could have been an app you installed preventing it from booting properly, try to make a nandroid of your current rom then restore back to your original rom and let us know if it boots. If it does, it's most likely something on your rom. If it still doesn't boot that's more of a hardware issue.
Did you properly wipe, did you install a rom, you have to tell more information then just saying it wont boot could be anything why it wont boot answer what you did before you got to the point you are in now and then we can help.

You might want to tell people what the issue was and how you fixed it. Simply saying, "it's fixed," doesn't help people.

Hey guys I have happily had my samsung infuse for over a year now. I decided to root my device around 6 months ago, and I have been happily using the Zeus Rom. All of a sudden my phone has started to freeze up at the title screen and not allow me to go further. It literally freezes up and shuts off? Now I have attempted to hard-reset and wipe all the cache's but seems as if nothing works. And to add upon that, my USB slot doesn't work either (been charging off of an Anker Charger) for the last 2 months. Therefore, Odin is out of the question. What should I do?
Please help!
Regards,
Ahadsz
If you still have the ROM on your phone then wipe everything and reinstall it. See what happens.

Upload a ROM to drop box and grab it from there so you can flash it

My sidekick has been recently just replaying the start-up screen. Once in a while it'll fully boot but then it just shuts off after a few seconds. I haven't messed around with it at all so I can't think of what may be causing this. If anyone could help that would be amazing. Thanks a lot!
Could be many things, if you debugging enabled try to get a logcat. Or if you don't mind loosing your data use hiemdall or Odin to flash back to stock fully

Do I not need to be rooted for odin?
Nope, just put phone in download mode. If unfamiliar on how to use this I suggest hiemdall, Adam Outler made a one click hiemdall package which you can find in the first page or so of developer section, very very easy to use

Some users also have had issues with the display ribbon cable coming loose at the hinge. You may also want to check out your battery..
Did you install any new software? There are apps out there that will cause boot loops on Froyo/Gingerbread.
Good luck. I miss the keyboard on my Sidekick, but I don't miss that crummy Samsung abomination that powers it.
Greetings ladies and gents,
I have a bit of an issue with a co-workers phone. It seems that he attempted to root his Blaze and completely screwed it up. You see, I'm from HTC land and have never rooted a "Sammy" before. I have no issue with those devices but my friend is a bit "special" and has trouble boiling water if you gave him the instructions.
What I know:
He told me that all he d/l'd was ODIN and the USB drivers and nothing else. Once he connected his phone via USB his problems started. (I really don't believe ANY of this...But I digress)
Now his phone only does 2 things... 1. It will attempt to boot and never completes. You get the BLAZE 4G exclusive to TMobile splash and the progress bar an freezes shortly after. 2. I can trick the phone into the stock recovery with a bit of prodding.
Other than that, nothing but the battery screen showing it charging.
I'm trying to help the guy get rooted, so can someone lead me to a bit of help?
Thanks in advance...:silly:
Can you access download mode?
Its vol up + vol down then power. While connecting the USB to computer.
Once you see the white Samsung logo flash, release the power.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T769 using Tapatalk
Not at all unfortunately. I've tried the Vol +/- & power key presses but the phone will just vibrate in 1-2 second intervals until I release. Nothing else.
Once the phone attempts to boot...then freezes, my PC will detect it in Odin (w/ COM 3)
You got to time it right. Let go of power then wait 10 seconds and let go of everything.
This is necessary

I can't stress it enough, make sure repartition isn't checked.

There isn't really a "best" ROM. But cyanogen mod is a great start, I used their new installer and its works. Don't worry when its says that the device is a Galaxy S 2, its a little bug, but you still get cyanogen mod for the Blaze. If your friend likes cyanogen mod and wants more customisability, he should try the other ROM on the forum. I hope that helped!

They are all great. PAC and carbon have the most features.
I'd recommend for you to stay away from 4.4 for the time being.
