Audéo perfect fit earphones. Think they were 120ish a year or so ago when I bought them. Absolutely love them.

This is a headphone question, doesnt really have anything to do with your phone.
'Klipsch image s4' are probably the highest recommended headphones i've seen.
Basically every audiophile forum recommends them as a best bang for your buck option.
http://www.amazon.ca/Klipsch-IMAGE-S4-Isolating-Earphones/dp/B001V9LPT4
I also recommend disabling beats audio while using them.
You should also try to use flac audio formats or at worst 320kbps mp3's.
flac is compressed but lossless audio, like a digital version of a cd.
if you want to play with flac, you are most likely going to need to buy power amp, for $5.

Uh, because both the Beats eq curve and Beats headphones suck. It's a marketing ploy. Get yourself some Shures, Grados, AKGs, Audio Technicas, or Beyerdynamics and you'll hear what music is supposed to sound like.

might i add westone 3's? definitely on the higher end, but they sound superb with or w/o beats processing. i prefer no beats, period.

i have older klipsch in-ears (no controls) which i really like. but right now my headphones of preference for the 1x are the phiaton ps20 bluetooth semi-in ears. they do have player control and a mike for use with phone calls. i like not having to worry about the headphones plugging into the phone and then accidentally ripping them out of the socket because i forgot i was connected and suddenly got up to do something. the phiatons have actually picked up some pretty decent reviews. might be worth taking a look.

I haven't had the pleasure of trying out a pair of westones, but I have heard good things about them. I use Shure E5C (dual driver) and se550 (triple driver) IEMs for my out and about listening, love them both.

Uh, I'm a DJ and I know what good headphones sound like. I'm using a pair of manufacturer refurbished Diddy Beats that I bought thru Monster for $79.99 and they sound effing Amazing. All the other brands Metal mentioned are hella good too. Just my 2 cents, I figured with Beats Audio software why not try out the headphones of the same brand. Again just my humble opinion. To each his own.

Dont go mainstream brands like Bose, Beats, etc. You're just wasting your money to be honest. Ima recommend the V-Moda Crossfade LPs as they are closed-back(Great isolation), sexy as hell(seriously check em out), competitively priced($110-150) and most importantly, sound incredible.
Here's a link:
http://www.amazon.com/Crossfade-Ove...Headphone-Phantom/dp/B003BYRGLI/ref=pd_cp_e_0
The mic is detachable as well so thats always a plus. It comes with two cables. One with volumes controls and another with a mic. Def check it out if you get a chance.
AND remember to use Poweramp with SRS enhancements when you listen to music. The 'Beats' audio is just a gimmick and marketing ploy. Doesnt bring anything but muddy bass to the table.
My $0.02. Hopefully this is informative.

Oh sorry I didnt see that if you mentioned it before. Um only two decent options.
Theres the Klipsch S4i. Its really really good for the price.
http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-S4i-P...ef=sr_1_9?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1340547717&sr=1-9
Theres also the Bose you mentioned. They sound pretty good. Not overwhelming. Especially for that price.

Id recommend going with the klipsch for now though.

Anyone know of any good earbuds under $50? the last time i spent money on headphones over $100 i ended up regretting it lol.
i'm no audiophile so i'm not loyal to any brands or anything. just as long as they sound decent.

NEVER get BEATS or BOSE. Both companies are like apple. Good marketing bad product. Also with the one x you have the option to use srs sound with poweramp. Use that. It's way better than beats enhancement and the sound is far better and sweeter.
I recommend the vmoda vibrato $130 (cheaper on ebay) They are built like tanks and are loved by the audiophile bass heads. They don't vibrate, but they have some of the best bass you can find in an earphone.
http://www.amazon.com/Vibrato-Noise...&qid=1340573332&sr=8-1&keywords=vmoda+vibrato
the klipsch s4i $70 (cheaper on ebay)
or the monster miles davis trumpets $270, if you have the money.
For under $50 you are best off with the klipsch s4.

bose headphones are completely overpriced garbage, the same as all there other products.
bose products tend to lack range and be VERY expensive, DO NOT EVER BUY BOSE.
Beats headphones tend to be overpriced garbage.
If you can get some monster turbine pro's for a really good price, then go for it.
I got monster turbine pro's for $130.

I need a new pair of headphones (not earbuds)

Well my headphones finally broke after 4 years, I love it and it's time for me to get a new pair
Can someone suggest a good but a reasonable one at a decent price.
Looking for noise cancelling and black
Thanks
the ones that came with the sensation are really good imo
and i have/had the bose in ear and around ear, ibeats and Solo HD's
there really cheap too on like ebay. maybe 15 bucks, some are cheaper, like 5 or 6.
oh you want noise canceling lol..
id say the new bose around ear are good... but i'd look into other brands like Koss, Sennheiser, Audio Technica and Klipsh.
Never had any of them but I hear they are really good brands

Thanks, but all of those are pretty pricey
Yea they are. I mean, if you want bang for buck you can look at the Sennheiser HD Series. They go for pretty cheap on ebay.
I really love the Bose AE2's tho... Amazing sound and I can never hear anything around me lol
Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what I can do
The bose ones look nice
They're not noise cancelling but the sennheisser HD-25 mkII are probably the best sound quality I've experienced from headphones.
They are what most sound engineers and DJs use, so they are designed to cut out a large amount of external sound - I have no problem listening on planes, busses etc.
Cheaper than Bose too.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-II-Closed-Headphone-headband/dp/B000TDZOXG
EDIT: you can pick them up for around £130.00 on ebay
I'd recommend the Sony MDR NC33, they are in ear noise cancelling headphones and you can pick them up online for between £50-60.
You could always try the Sony MDR NC7 which are considerably cheaper at around £20-30 but are over ear.
Out of the 2 i would pick the MDR NC33's because they give a comfortable fit and are awesome in general, plus they're Sony so they are well made and have a wicked sound quality.
I don't think you can get mobile noise cancelling headphones, i know you can get noise cancelling bluetooth headsets but not as headphones, i don't think so anyway. However, if you're looking for a quality pair of mobile in ear headphones with good sound quality, and well, noise isolation and not noise cancellation, i'd try the Bose MIE2i, they go for around £90 online.
Oh wait, i've found a noise cancelling pair with an inline mic, they are the AKG K390, they are for £73.26 on Amazon.
But yeah, i'd still recommend the Sony MDR NC33 if you intend on using them solely for music, or the Bose if you want a mic.
Hope this helps
Thanks guys for the suggestions I will definitely look at the Sony ones over ear, I don't like the in ear ones merely because after sometime my ears hurt weird but yeah

I got mine for $85 bux, well the V-Moda Crossfades LP (originals). If you are looking for a bit cheaper headphones, I can wholeheartedly recommend the SOL Republic Tracks. About 100 bux at Best Buy. Try them out and see if they seem good or not.
I have both the V-Moda Crossfades LPs and Sol Republic Tracks HD (HD is the highest model-also bought for $85 bux). And both are on par with clarity but the bass is there when needed. But the Sol Republic are a bit more on the bass-y side, but not obnoxious. lol
However if you are looking for cheaper than that, go with the Koss Porta Pro. Its bit retro, but its and awesome headset for clarity. (retail is about $35 bux). Not bassy as the beats, but they are moderate in bass but it's just clear as heck! Mine broke after years of use lol. I am talking about a good 12 years or so.

It was when it was priced like for $100, but $150, it's a toss up. I do like them, but look a little too bulky for me. The Vmoda Crossfade LPs are as bulky as I can get without getting to look like a helicopter pilot .
Sennheiser MM60 is definitely the very best if you want old school open air style.

I already bought Monster Ibeat beats audio by Dr.Dre original that came with the hTC Rezound and Sensation with control talk etc. Just waiting for it to arrive
First tip: Different people have different taste. 250 can buy you some really good sounding products. I would recommend HeadRoom because they provide a lot of guidance based on price and taste and even provide you with cool frequency response graphs. Really worth doing a few hours of research over if you're spending that kind of money. At that price, good brands to keep your eyes open for: Sennheiser, AKG, Beyerdynamic, Denon, and Audio Technica.
Head-fi is a good resource but ABSOLUTELY chock full of opinion and voodoo. First thing to remember is that your taste might not equal someone elses, though on Head-Fi, nearly everything is taken as fact.
Final tip: Don't buy it if it has someone's name on it. This includes Beats, Soul, etc. It's not that they're bad per se, just overpriced. You can buy some hard hitting heavy bass headphones like Beats for much less. For example, the Audio Technica ATH-M50 is 150 on amazon and have a very similar sound to the 300 dollar Beats over ears.
sassafras
The ATH-M50 / M50s are great headphones. I would take those over any pair of beats.
The DJ headphones I use are Sennheiser HD25IIs. A bit more pricey, but great on ear headphones with good isolation while being light weight.
For long periods of use, I use my Audio Technica ATH-AD700s.
For IEMs I just Klipsch S4s
If you want to buy a pair of headphones. Let me know what your budget is and what kind of headphones you want (IEMs, on ear, over ear) and I can find the best pair.
Another tip- never buy a headset. ever.
If you want something good looking like the Beats with quality sound, wait for the P3s : http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/Headphones/Headphones/P3/explore.html
If they're anything like the P5s, they're going to be amazing.

They truely, truely are. How can anyone favor beats? They're disgustingly bass heavy.
I got a pair of urbeats headphones free through work. Yes, they're quite bass heavy, but the sound isn't terrible.
What I'm really looking for is something with an in-line mic and controls. I really like the 3 buttons on the remote to pause, skip, and rewind.
Are there any other headphones on the market besides the beats that have a mic and the 3 button controls? I wanted to get the Klipsch S4a's, but they only have the single button control.
Is there anything (earbuds) in the $50-ish range that are any better than what the phones come with? I haven't opened the ones the HTC came with, but they look like the others.... a joke.
I only *rarely* use headphones/earbuds so I don't need a $250pr. I've tried Beats, thought they were very comfortable.
Also, if I could get a helmet on over them, that would be a plus.
I have two pair of breasts. Over the ear and in ear and I love them both. It's different for everyone though

hahaha I never even looked in the bottom of the box, but your right! I just assumed.
Scuse me while I shrink away slowly...

Help me decide on headphones..

I know there are a couple threads throughout xda about which are the best headphones but I figured I'd ask in my own thread cuz my priorities may be different than others. If this should be in Q&A, the mods can you please move it?
I had a pair of ibeats headphones that came with the Rezound. They broke so Verizon sent me a brand new pair in the retail box that you would get at Target or Best Buy. There are a little bit different than the first ones. Anyways, the right ear bud is losing its sound compared to the left one so I need a new pair.
I LOVED the sound from beats. I listen to a lot of rap so I like deep bass. Are there any headphones that sound just as nice or better at a lower or equal price? I really want the studios or pros but it's too much for me to spend right now.
I've seen people mention the s4i's. Do they have deep bass like the beats?
P. S. I also didn't care for the way the ibeats felt in my ear. They weren't comfortable. So something with a nice fit for long periods would be a plus.
Sent from my One X using XDA Premium HD app
There's nothing that comes to mind that compares to the bass from Beats by Dre.
I personally don't have the S4i because those are meant to be used with Apple devices. I do on the other hand have the S4a and they don't fill the bottom end as much for songs with deep bass, but they are crisp and clear. Very evenly toned.
If you want good bass, check out the IE monitors that I mentioned in the other thread.

I'd take Sennheiser over Beats or Bose any day of the week.
Audio Technica ATH-M50's like these http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ..._ATH_M50_Professional_Closed_Back_Studio.html the Sony MDR-V6 or a pair of Sennhaiser HD 280 PROs, HD 448s or higher, depending on your budget.
Edit: Since you want bass, I know the 280 PROs are considered to be pretty deep sounding but I don't know about the rest. I have HD 448s and love them but I like flat EQ, so they probably aren't for you. You should read reviews on audiophile sites to see which model matches your preferences.
I bought some beats tour headphones a while back and I am unhappy with how things ended up. My wife couldn't find her gym headphones so she grabbed my beats and now she won't give them back or share them with me. Always connected to her phone. I could justify buying another pair but don't want to drop the money on a second pair at the moment. Great headphones though.

You get better sound out of cans. Are you fixed on earbuds or will over the ear do? You mentioned studios, so I assume you're ok with over the ear. Because the driver is bigger, the sound is much richer dollar-for-dollar.
Glaucoma Cat had some solid recommendations. If you're looking to spend a little less, the zx-600's are pretty good. You can find them on sale for around 50.
Can anyone recommend earphones with a good handsfree system that works? I tried the S4a, and while it sounds great, I hate the one button control. Is there a three button control earphone that allows me to play/pause, change tracks, vol. up/down, answer calls and finish them too? And is there one that can allow me to launch google voice actions?

Headphones

I'm looking for a set of headphones within the $100-$150 range. I have looked around many forum discussions and finally decided on getting the Audio-Technica ATH-M50. However before I buy it I'm having second thoughts.. I have an HTC One S with beats integrated (obviously) and listen to mainly rap/hip hop, but occasionally rock also. I was wondering whether if I should go with the beats used or go with the M50? M50 I heard was better but us more focused on the complete sound of the song and more suited for songs other than rap/hip hop. Whereas I like my bass relatively heavy in my songs. Which beats provide since that's kinda their selling point. Also does beats for my phone have any distinctly different effect on the two headphones or does it just boost the bass of the song? Also I heard that Beats have noise-canceling technology which sounds really appealing, but my question to you is the feature worth over the M50's? Any thoughts are appreciated

I have the in-ear Monster iSport immersion headphones and I am more than happy with the sound, really pro sound from in ear headphones, I was surprised with the bass they produce. Music is crisp and loud even in max volume, no need to use it over 70-80% though since the noice cancellation is adequate.

The M50's are a very nice set and would certainly sound better than Beats, but you might consider where you are going to be listening. They are a set more geared toward home/studio. While the closed headphones are great for being able to ignore the outside noises of everyday travel and not disturb the people around you with your music, you might consider the fact that for safety reasons you might not want to be unable to hear horns/sirens/shouting while walking around. You wouldn't have to worry at all about quality with that set though as long as you are okay with closed headphones in general.
I have a set of Beats Solo HD on sale on eBay. They worked very well with Beats for me and have amazing bass. The only thing is you need an equalizer app to turn up mids and highs when playing rock or alternative. They're going cheap if you wanna check em here http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=181053072394&index=0&nav=SEARCH&nid=60174087912
The Beats have great bass but if you want richer sound I'd suggest another brand.

good bass
I have a pair of Sennheiser PX100's, they are pretty amazing for the price. They have great bass, good highs, but the best part is the price is about $40. Unfortunately you cant really buy them anywhere, they have been replaced by the PX100-II, and I cant speak to those. So if you can find a pair for about $40, I would definately buy them.

I heard a lot about Sennheiser. They're supposed to be a real good company for headphones

As with any company there are good and bad models for what you want. I love my Sennheiser hd280 pro's, but they don't have overpowering bass like other models. I was more concerned with sound blocking and clear sounds. You really have to read reviews and test headphones out in the stores (with your own device/music) if you want something great.
The Beats EQ works with anything you plugin. Beats boosts bass a decent amount with a little boost in treble.
I'd check out head-fi's website and ask around there, be sure to be specific about your taste.
I personally took their $30 recommendation for IEMs and went with a Meelectronic M31. Never looked back, works wonders with the phone and every genre of music sounds great.
Hope I helped,
Happy New Years!

To Closed Search Project,
Thanks for the offer. But I did go and buy the M50's, as I would use it for the rich sound and in the indoor environment. I appreciate the help and I'm sure anyone reading would probably take you up on that offer!
Happy New Years!

Assuming he's from US, ours didn't come with any headphones.
I have some beats studio in white and some audiotechnica ATH-M50's in white and I'll I can say is the ATH-M50's are better with any music, in any situation, and in every way.
EDIT: unless you're looking for a necklace that also emits sound, then I'd go with the beats.

Headphones for the money: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?p_id=8323
Hands down. A/B'd them against my Sennheiser HD280pro, and for everyday listening or gaming, I'd go with the Monoprice. Clear but not overpowering bass, good highs.
Fantastic presence. The HD280pro have a little more transparency in the sound, but you can't beat the Monoprice 8323s in the <$100 price bracket. There's just no competition.
Everything from dubstep to Diana Krall was gorgeous on these puppies.
Don't know what the $ price is, but can recommend sennheiser HD 25-1 II
I use the Soul SL99's, they sound great, I love the clarity all around and a good thumpy bass. I am looking for something better so I'm also checking this thread for some good suggestions under 100 bucks.
I use sennheiser HD 280 pros. I bought my pair 9 years ago and I've used them every day. I don't use speakers ever so I've litterally used them every day. Yesterday they finally broke and guess what? I'm buying another pair this week. They were $299 way back then, but they're only $100 now.
Highly recommend them!

Check out the razer electra i got em and they are amazing!
I normally take hifi magazine reviews with a pinch of salt but the Soundmagic E-10 IEDs got pretty good reviews from users too, so I splashed out a very reasonable £30 or so for a pair. It took a while to get them to fit correctly in my ear but the results are very good indeed, especially for the price.
I thought I had bought a lemon when I first tried them, but fitting the correct ear bud is vital for good sound from IEDs. When I use 'over the ear' headphones (usually at home) I use Sennheiser HD280s.

try Logitech or Genius ............... !!!!!

What are the best SOUNDING earbuds

I am a huge Audiophile. I listen from Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Wavy smooth chill music and Really hard hitting bass music. And I just can't decide on what to get, I check these out they looked convincing
SONY MDR-XB90EX | In-Ear EXTRA BASS Headphones (Japanese Import) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008G80FIU/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_at_ws_us?ie=UTF8 I want some things were all the highs, mids, lows, and bass are perfect. And yes I know I won't get something like that but I want something were you think its at least all 9's for mids highs & lows and bass. And beats suck and Bose or any other monster product so don't give me none of that.

Gosh damn i spent 30$ on Apple Earpods and thats about it and it sets me off to a good start they sound really nice since they use Paper drivers and not plastic.
I suggest you ask those kind of question on reaper or gearslutz forums. Those are much more audio oriented.
Greetings

Give these ones a try, don't be fooled by the low price, the built-quality is actually pretty good and the sound quality outperforms many, more expensive earbuds:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/AWEI-ES-900...22511054?pt=US_Headphones&hash=item20db8ea0ce
Stumbled on 'em in a review while I was looking for other earbuds. Unfortunately I can't remember the site that reviewed 'em.
The reviewer was impressed as they sounded like $100 earbuds.
Just for fun I gave 'em a try. Never stopped using them. In any case it outperforms my old Sony and Creative earbuds.
Klipsch S4i in East headphones are the best on the market in my opinion. You can probably find them online for a cheaper price. For the price that they come, they have the best sound quality. If you're looking for a lot of bass though you might be underwhelmed, although the S4i produces accurate sound.

i believe that depends on WHAT you want to hear, if you want to add bass to your music maybe some beats or something like that, but if you want some clarity , maybe some Bose earbuds, they are pretty neat as in ear monitors (i'm a musician) and usually they have a flat response which is the best for hearing EXACTLY what you are supossed to hear.
I have a pair of Sennheiser ear buds with a noise canceling function. Comes in real handy for long loud bus and train rides in rush hour.. They were like 59 bucks last year.. Really nice quality and they go loud. Picked em up at Bestbuy.
I keep hearing great things about the Beats earbuds though. They may be my next purchase. Although they are pricey!
Audio Technica !!!:good:
I like my mid range Skull Candy. But the ones which came with my Samsung phone are decent too.
I realize there a lot better, but for the price, I think they are pretty good options.

Head on over to the forum at head-fi.org
I use Creative EP-630, they sound good & price is reasonably good.
Go to a store in your area and buy skullcandy earbuds or any that are $5-10
@dude52
If you are an audiophile.. You should personally visit the shop and check your favourite songs on the headphones you like for yourself..
Btw.. I use audio technica ath-sj11 for every thing..m not an audiophile though
fyi Audio Technica is a serious Japanese brand which provide audio solutions like mics ,etc at the "Grammy Awards! "
So no need to worry about the quality!

i'm using Sennheiser MM 70s and so far they are the best i've ever brought.
In your budget you can also give a look at MP4Nation.net, they have a good choice of IEM.
Senheiser in ear
I use the "Redemption Song Midnight" In-Ears by House of Marley.
Very good sound, with lots of bass and balanced mids an highs
This has been something I have wanted to ask for a while. Thanks
