Im currently building off it now, I hope to be posting a TRUE AOSP rom soon!
UPDATE
Got a sucessful build without errors, now in the emulator I'm getting bootloops.
Working on it now!
If you can help us get full cm7 that would rock

They already have a port coming, it's making good progress.

no one is working on cm7 because there is no source. Slayher attempted it and he got to a point where without the source there was no success so he stop workin on it. He was the first to get cm and ppl tweaked his cm around but still have same bugs.
Finally! ive been patiently waiting for a real AOSP.

You should talk to topprospect about this; he compiled a working (booting) AOSP rom from the msm8660 source before this was released. Here's a link to his current status on it -------> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22523586&postcount=127
And here's one to his github ------> https://github.com/dferg/android_device_msm8660_skyrocket
Actually we have top helping us out in our team huddle LOL hoping we can get some insight from him

Does this mean it's going to be an American English build without any CIQ?

Come on AOSP...loved xboarders version but it wouldn't take an APN...
Sent from my Skyrocket using XDA App
Radio isn't working in xboarders build yet. Apn isn't expected to work. Give him some time.

Hello everyone I was flashing appdroid Unknown rom and I flashed it correctly followed the instructions and fixed permissions and rebooted as it told me to but it did not turn on and it is now just on a black screen.
Any help would be appreciated as to how there may be a fix.
Thanks
Which kernal did you flash?

I got bricked flashing faux last night
Soft or hard?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
Hard bricked I believe. The phone won't turn on at all and the computer only recognizes it in qhsusb_dload mode.
Yea. Broken phone unless they figure out qpst
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
what steps did you guys take to flash faux's kernel? I flash kernels almost weekly when i first got the skyrocket. I just flashed his build 3 r2 .10 release for skyrocket earlier today, no problems. Previously I flashed faux .09u2 with sky ice cream 7.4
yes, darklord if you could give us a step by step of what you did exactly as you recall it will help.

I wonder if Dman can use this in his new Zeus or even Nun in their new ROM

Think dman said he isn't a kernal dev so it won't appear in Zeus unless a kernal dev makes something from the code
Sent from my Samsung Infuse
Bede's will make a new infusion if someone sends it to him. I read that he's trying to find it

Might be a stupid question but...
Isn't there an official release missing somewhere to go with this?
that was probably bc of supercurio

What is the difference between SGH-I997_Opensource.zip and I997_Opensource.zip? The first one is dated May 2011 - I'm assuming that one is the FROYO kernel source?
The second is the gingerbread source

Just in case people haven't seen this and are running an ICS rom
-I have only tried this on EB CM9 and HFS... I am almost positive it will not work with aosp as they are not cm9 roms
Updated post with some screen shots that are from my phone there are many different ways you can set it up, I'm still learning how much it can do lol... kinda cool though.

Great find, i was unaware! Thanks for posting!
I go through the android general themes and apps and all those sections everyonce in a while to see what I find. Its a pretty cool thing though gives you alot cool customization capabilities

updated with some pictures from my phone if people want to see what it does without clicking on the link and stuff lol.
What rom are you running while using this tool? I used to use rom toolbox by jrummy.. but it hasn't worked as well with ICS...
I read in the OP that it works on CM9 roms .. I know that CM Roms are AOSP by nature but not all AOSP Roms are CM9 , correct?
Most specifically, will this work with The newest EaglesBlood AOSP ICS Rom?

No this wont work with the newest Eaglesblood rom. I have tried and you end up losing your status bar.
If people want to pm me what roms they have tried and this worked or failed on so I can add them to the O.P. that'd be great

The AOKP ROM on root wiki is a preview build that probably isn't daily driver material just yet. Here's a link to the thread: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31679-official-aokp-d2vzw-421-preview-builds/

OP: From verizon? Who knows..the international version hasn't even gotten it. No phone has gotten it besides the Nexus.

In the development section, Liquid has 4.2 betas available and many people are already using them as their daily drivers.
