XDA custom ROMS going down next week?

Just saw a post but it was deleted, about a blog that says XDA is talking down all custom ROM images next week? Is this true, plz clear up.
is this johnny tsunami who went to albany?
Didn't I just read a thread like this, where people told the thread owner to look at the article date and the thread owner admitted he freaked out when the forums went down temporarily, searched for XDA-developers going down on google and found a boy genius report that was 1+ year old?
Where the heck is that thread??? *CONFUSED*

Custom ROMs haven't been hosted on this site for almost a year now
All types of legal crap....thems were tha good ol days
If you haven't noticed...all custom Roms are linked to a site outside of XDA-Dev

Well we are now on the last day of September and it looks like we are going to roll into October before we get any official 2.2 update.
Unless its coming later today which I doubt very much, the waiting game continues.....

They may be better informed over in that section.
On a more useful note, I read something about it being delayed until mid/late octover today, but then, I don't believe everything I read on tthe internet....

Interesting news

Stumbled upon this by accident, but thought it was rather interesting.
https://github.com/tmobile
Evidently it's their official profile. Discuss.
Good find...
Cyanogen posted this on twitter. T-mobile responded to his post and said that while they love the dev community, that github profile is not actually T-mobile.

WHY WHY WHY are we starting another thread on this????
It's awesome, but it's been general knowledge around here for about 24 hours. It didn't need another thread.

Doesn't justify your laziness and disregard for one simple rule. It doesn't pain anyone, just annoys and wastes time and makes the rest of us casual users who do follow the rules look like idiots to the devs :silly:
Sorry man but nobody seems to get it anymore when we just let it slide. Learn to use the forum or find another forum

CRAP! buried on page 34 there is a mention of the tweet, and was mentioned with VZW not verizon, as i have searched, my foolishness! if only others knew, i must spread my message, I....MUST.....BE .....HEARD
gosh darn this repost! even the thread you mentioned had it's OP updated with these details, oh no, wait, it wasnt, it was buried in a single post that unless you were looking for specifically, or been following that thread, you probably would have missed, like myself.
but GOOD NEWS, that is a whole thread now! rejoice my friends, not just a random buried post, that can inform those, like me, who may have been out of pocket for a few days, or who search for verizon now VZW....phew

Your entire response is the EXACT reason why there is a search button so every single topic does not require a thread. It keeps the forum cleaner and straight forward. If you wanna know any news or need to find out, go check Dan's twitter.
You obviously need refreshed on the forum rules and how a development community works...

I hear you, I can see where you're coming from. But here's the thing. You have two choices as far as interacting on the forum:
1. You follow the important threads constantly, so you know what information is out there, and what is not. Then when you find some news, you can post about it in the related thread that's already there. If the news is huge and unrelated, you can start a new thread.
2. You follow casually, reading the latest pages of the top threads every couple of days. In this case, you can never be sure you have the latest information, and the unwritten rule is that you waive your right to post new threads about news.
Everyone else: Lay off, alright? He's been told off, and he was immediately repentant. That's enough.

Xda mods

I've never done anything like this. But I can't comment on the post, so my apologies for this off place post.
The link on your post for this now outdated phone points to Amazon, when it says it points to xda. If this wasn't an accident, should the post be worded different? Pretty sure Amazon doesn't have roms...

This https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/huawei-mate-se link takes me to Huawei Mate SE thread, which link are you referring to as being taken to amazon instead.
I believe it was the link I posted that was redirecting to Amazon's product page for the Huawei mate se. But it seems to be working now.. I'll dive deeper tomorrow morning (I'm in bed checking my email) to see if there's a chance I had a different link in the clipboard. Or maybe I copied text that had a different link attached to it and I didn't notice when I posted this. I think I remember what I was searching for with this phone so I'll try to get back to you after testing more tomorrow.
Thank you for responding.
