I had the robot going on about partition, system not available and 3 min....uncooperation... reboot after reboot same thing. This is what I did... Odin,Superoneclick, and ICS( root ,superuser, rom manager, root manager) anyway took out my sd card after new rom loaded, all unmounts visible and diable lagfix then reboot. It boot right up. Leading me to believe my sd is shot, I have repartitioned it over and over but it wont root. Still has the files to zip a rom but wont allow system to boot.Hopefully this helps someone.
Is there a way to regulate the keyboard light up time? It seems to me it goes out to quick. SK2 I had for years had a option to timeout the keyboard.
Yes I'll post a mood

Hey everyone,
So I got my tablet today and have been working on it for the past 8 hours!! I finally got CWmod on it and running. Had a nightmare of a time getting it to work correctly and after using NVFLASH to nuke the whole tablet and install the stock ROM, then updating i was able to get CWmod to run. Now I'm having a really odd issue.
I can boot into CWmod. I repartitioned the SD card, mounted it. I can see the device in windows but when I add ANYTHING to the internal SD card it is completely gone once I reboot the device. I'm trying to get a ROM on it but it's like the drive is locked or something really weird. It copys onto the tablet just fine. the second I reboot everything is deleted.
I feel like I'm missing something here. I had that issue with it when I ran the stock ROM. I could change something and it would not stick after a reboot. For example registering my device on kindle and then downloading books. as soon as I reboot the machine it's as if i never registered it. I'm really at a loss as to what to do with this. I can't seem to get it to save anything on the internal storage.
Well after fiddling with it for a while longer I'm about to give up. I used NVFLASH to get it to the stock ROM again. updated to 3588 and yet again, I can't get any changes to stick. I can change anything and everything on it while it's powered on. The second I power it off and reboot it nukes everything I did (and takes close to 5-6 minutes to boot). I even mounted it and deleted every single file on the internal storage. They all came back upon reboot. I reformatted the entire SDCARD, I reformatted all the user data, did a cache wipe.. nothing works. I'm wondering if my unit is defective? at this point I would love to just have a tablet that I can actually use. I can't understand how it's even possible to not be able to make any changes on the device unless it's reinstalling the ROM everytime I reboot?
What version of CWM are you using and how did you install it?
I was running CWM 8. I couldn't install it via the internal storage. It would boot into recovery mode and "install" but once the machine rebooted it would not boot into CWM. I tried it several times same deal. I could install it but once it rebooted, nothing :/..
So I had to use the micro SD card to install it. I edited the recovery command file and pointed it to the SDCARD2. It installed finally, and stuck!
I tried using the microSD card to install the other ROMs. But unfortunately it will not mount in CWM.
I'm trying to get CWM back on it after doing yet another wipe with NVFLASH. We'll see if I can get it to work..
So i'm basically sitting here with a brick.. unless I never power it off lol!
Ok well another odd thing is going on with this. I'm up and running with CWM 08 again. I can turn on USB mass storage mount. The tablet shows up in windows and on my linux box. I can make whatever changes I want, adding files, deleting everything on it. Nothing matters cause once I unmount and remount the device it's all back to normal. It seems like nothing is allowed to write to the internal storage even though it thinks it does write to it??

It looks like we might finally be getting a patch to fix the rebooting issues. While this article pertains to the Optimus 2X at least LG knows about the problem and is moving to fix it.
Oh thank God! My problems aren't as severe, but when adding apps, it can have some annoying pauses. Also when it reloads the launcher it builds the app list. My Nexus One did it instantaneously.
Bump

I desperately need this... my phone rebooted about 8 times today
I removed my task manager (advanced task manager) and my phone hasn't rebooted sojce I posted that last post
Never use a task manager because it abruptly stops an app instead of letting it close on its own

This solved all my issues with the G2x basically its a start from scratch.
First save all your data on /sdcard and your external sd
Remove external SD format on PC with an SD card formatter (Google)
Boot in recovery wipe the format sdcard and system
Reinstall your external SD newly formated
Use one click recovery load stock flash
Now use one click load CWM I used external ver
Boot into recovery
Load your fav rom (EB, Bionic, ect) and then Trinity Kernel optional
Reboot (btw bug in CWM does not reboot turns off just turn back on)
let sit 10 mins
reboot
let sit 5 mins
reboot
login
let sit (if on wifi about 10 mins for apps to load on 4G longer)
after doing this I have not had 1 issue in the last 48 hours rock solid
ok, so this is my first time flashing, i used odin to flash the kernel dr. honk posted here [Kernel][GB] Stock Kernel + CWM + Voodoo EXT4 Lagfix, it flashed fine, but when it rebooted it says, everytime it tries to startup "convert data partition, not enough space on sd card, convert system partition, not enough space on sd card"
am i screwed? is my phone bricked? is there anything i can do to recover it or to fix the problem so it can continue loading the kernel?
Go back to cmw go to advanced and create a new partition with 1028 for space. Restart phone and see if linda converts it. If she said not enough space do the same thing but with a 2048 size partition

No offense, why would you every tell anyone who has no idea, to reparation their sd.It wipes data.
Answer to question
If your phone boots up saying "GALAXY S 4G" you aren't bricked. Also, If you wait long enough, the phone would turn on. Anyway, turn your phone off by pulling out the battery. First, press volume up and down together. Hold it. Then hit the power button for 4 seconds. Release the power button. After some time, you will be in recovery mode. (red with writing). Using the volume up and down buttons, navigate to the section that says voodoo lag fix. Press power button to click. Then disable voodoo lag fix by clicking disable and disable system lag fix by clicking disable. Now navigate to the "go back" button, and go back. click reboot system and it will work.
Also, Don't flash the kernel unless you are running KH2, audiophile FTW or valhalla, If you don't know how to flash these, don't flash kernels.
It didnt wipe my data when i made a partition but make a backup incase. Thats if you want ext4.

It didn't wipe my data either. It may wipe it if you don't have space for the partition. OP, pm me if you are still stuck

next time please this isnt cha cha, try searching
im also having a same problem on T959V. Linda says "not enough space on partition, convert system partition time estimate 2 minutes." Please let me know if you have found any fix for this.
Thanks.
connect your sd card onto your computer and move every single file onto there. Delete all the files on the sd card, then put the sd card back into your phone, boot the phone up and let it do its thing. After your phone is fully loaded, you can move all the files back to your sd card.
If you don't have an sd card... Well... Get one.
Hello everyone -- So I loaded S2E (Android Market), after trying some scripts and App2SD (but the S2E app said it would run a script taking care of my App2SD/other changes), and have since removed App2SD.
Now, FINALLY, the SD card's partition is being used for internal storage, and my phone's internal storage reads 0.00001 out of my available 156 MB. The system is stable, even if it takes a little longer to get my apps and internal storage re-mounted on the phone, which I totally understand.
But I have two problems I've never had before:
(1) ROM Manager (Premium) says it's flashing Clockworkmod successfully, but when I boot to recovery, it's still Amon_RA. (Lately, I've been flashing between the two to do some SD card partitioning.) That seems troubling and problematic.
(2) (EDIT: When my phone is booting up,) My phone shows the HTC logo, then the Cyanogenmod 7 skateboard/circular arrow loading screen for a really, really long time. It goes back to the HTC logo, once again to the HTC logo, and then the CM7 loading screen one more time -- but this time it works, fairly quickly. It does this consistently.
If these aren't really problems (and #1 doesn't seem too bad; even though I have ROM Manager, I prefer Amon_RA to Clockworkmod anyway so far), I'll leave it alone. But I was hoping someone would know a quick fix for quickening my loading time. Things seem stable (for now) but it is a little troubling.
Any help or suggestions for the noob are greatly appreciated. Not sure if trying to uninstall ROM Manager, or just manually flashing Clockworkmod, would help or make things worse.
Problem 1:download the cwm recovery to your pc and flash it through your computer
Problem 2:Go to system/media and delete bootanimation.zip
(BUT before deleting something make a backup and also open the .zip's and choose which animation you wanna keep)
Hey,
I booted up my phone this morning but the boot animation stucked and I had to reboot it. When the phone booted up again, all my personal data was wiped, and all the applications I launched, except for my launcher, crashed after a second. And even if I touch nothing, random apps start crashing. I can't even run TB to backup things. Since most of my app data is on a partition of my SD card, I tried to put it on my PC but only the 'multimedia data' part mounted correctly.
Is there anything I can do apart from flashing a new row and wiping everything ? Maybe accessing it from my PC ? Or do something from CWM ?
My phone is running Kyrillos 9.7.1 with G3 Mod Non-Oc.
^It seems to me that there's something wrong with your partition.
Just format and repartition your sd card to fix any corruption issues!
