I have two samsung fascinates, one is working fine and the other only shows the samsung logo and goes into download mode. While in Odin, I hook up the working phone to the computer and put in download mode, and shows up in the COM perfectly fine, but when i hook up the semi-bricked phone and put in download mode, the computer doesn't recognize it. Am using a motorola data cable(lost oem) and am wondering if that could be the problem. Can anyone help me out with this?

im stuck on the samsung galaxy s 19000 boot screen and i can go into download mode but not into recovery... but the problem is that i cant get my phone to connect to computer thru kies or anything and i tried using another cable and computer...can anybody help me plaese??
Did you install the drivers for your phone on the computer? I was in a similar situation with a Samsung fascinate. I got stuck on a boot/flash loop. What I did was look for the phones drivers, installed them on the computer, get it into download mode (with the android shoveling), looked for the Odin software, looked for the fascinates factory rom, and flashed it through Odin.

yea i installed the drivers and reinstalled them but it still says usb device not recognized and on device maneger says unknown device and i dont know waht to do.. if it at least get it to connect once i will be very happy
i have oden the unbrick zip the drivers can get into download but oden can't recognize my phone but my computer can when rebooting it frezzes at the samsung screen and when chartging it frezzes at a gray battery with a loading sign not moving
Go to the Infuse forums, we don't know as much.
Find a way to force it into download mode, try another USB port.
Oh no i can get into download mode b the computer recognizes my phone but odin doesn't,

I am new to this site and gone thru lots of forums, youtube and so on for my problem and more I am reading I am unable to find my answer correctly so decided to get your inputs.
I bought Bell - Galaxy S Vibrant 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) phone from Kijiji. Tried to unlock, mistakenly I followed 2.3.3 procedure here on xda to unlock. Phone bricked but was able to go to download mode.
I tried to flash the phone and odin stopped in between, kept as it is for a long time and nothing happened. I pulled it out from USB cable that was connected on the computer and phone bricked again which means now it doesn't even go to download mode at all.
1) Now I am getting a computer and cellphone and in centre a yellow triangle on the screen.
2) Phone does not get to the download mode
3) When I connect thru USB to the laptop, it doesn't detect the phone. Neither kies nor odin. Tried doing on another laptop as well and no luck.
Any suggestions how to fix my phone? Thanks in advance!!
I'm had a pretty similar problem with a Tmobile Vibrant today with 2.2. Apparently you don't need to be in download mode for odin to work, as long as it has a com showing.

I did tried to connect to ODIN and still ODIN is not detecting my phone and I am not getting the COM ID - light up yellow in ODIN

I flashed my phone with cm10 I think? every thing went fine with that it was successful, however when the phone rebooted it stops at the samsung logo. The unit will not go into recovery mode. When I put it into download mode the screen shows odin d/l mode and the model is 5830i but my model is 5830m. also the computer does not even detect my device. where do I go from here?
Download a ROM for the 5830m with an Odin install. Go into download and install the ROM with Odin.
pc does acknolwedge that a device is connected
pc does acknowledge that a device is connected, it's as the pc doesn't know that a device is connected,( yes I loaded samsung drivers and Kies). What am I doing wrong?
I have this s8 Plus smg950u stuck on the Samsung logo, I cant boot into recovery mode and it doesn't shut off. I can boot to download mode but odin doesn't recognize it, I've tried different cords and all but still the same issue. if I connect another s8+ in download mode odin recognize it just fine. Is there any way to fix this phone if my computer wont recognize it at all?

I've tried that but computer doesn't detect it, if I check on device manager it looks like nothing was plugged in. I have 2 computers running windows 10 and non of them is able to recognize my phone.
Any suggestions?
