directory of files downloaded from the market,(both sd card and phone memory)

Well some of you might be wanting to know where the files download from the market are stored. The needs may be many. You might want to send the files via bluetooth or back them up just in case the phone gets wiped. Here is the directory of the apps downloaded from the market.
Requirements:
1)root access on your mobile device.
2)root explorer installed on the device.
Apps in the the phone memory:
In root explorer, go to data>app. Here you will find all the apps installed on the phone memory which had been downloaded from the market.
Apps on the sd card:
Again in root explorer go to mnt>asec. here all the files installed on the sd card will be in their respective folders by the name of pkg.apk
I hope this helps!!!

[Q] Saving / moving files from SD to internal memory

Wondering if it is possible to move files I currently have saved on an old SD card into the internal memory on the phone temporarily... to then move them off internal memory back to my normal SD card.
I'd like to accomplish this just using my phone and with out using a computer to transfer files, is it possible?
Yes, it is.
How so? Can you please provide further instruction?

Hi !
You can easely do that, providing your device is rooted, with either Root Explorer or ES Explorer... pushing files from SDcard to system.
Cheers !

Make sure you have enough space to accommodate all the files in /sdcard (e.g. df /data). You can use file explorer such as ES File Explorer to copy the files to internal storage. If you have non-rooted phone, you can copy to /data/local/tmp.

Remove stock notification, alarm and ringtone files, and replace them with my own. To me that would be neat.

You can format the SD card in twrp its called internal storage.

Transfer Nandroid backup

Hey everybody,
I recently unlocked my bootloader, booted TWRP-r4 and made a Nandroid backup. It took about 3GB of space.
I have not rooted my phone yet. The path for the backup:
/data/media/0/TWRP/BACKUPS/ZY2232MQCL/backup stock 5.1.1 februari 3th/
Now, I would like to transfer the backup folder to my PC so I can put it in Google Drive. However, using ES File Explorer I can't seem to acces the TWRP folder: "/sdcard/TWRP/ not found"
Using my PC the TWRP folder is empty. I can navigate to the folder in TWRP file manager. Moving the folder using TWRP file manager doesn't fail, but both ES File Explorer and my PC can't seem to acces the TWRP folder.
Do I have to root my phone first in order to transfer the backup?
I don't have an external SD card at the moment. Would it make a difference trying to make a Nandroid backup to an external SD card?

I had the exact same problem. To make matters worse, if you want to make another back up, it contains your original backup which makes your new backup twice as big as the original backup.
I ended up rooting, changing the the folder/file attributes using root explorer. I now use the SD card for TWRP back ups. Interestingly back ups to SD Card do not have the same files permissions as the internal storage. I am interested if there is a non root solution.
Don't use ''enable compression" i had that problem too this fixed it hope it works for you guys
UPDATE:
I bought an external SD card (16GB SanDisk) and inserted it my phone. In TWRP, I went to Advanced -> File Manager, then navigated to the backup location of my already-existing backup in the internal memory, selected the folder and deleted it. Rebooted and made a backup in TWRP but now on the external SD card. I can now navigate to the backup folder on both my PC and in ES File Explorer, without rooting! So there you have it, a non root solution to transfering your backups to your PC using an ext. SD card.
Johannes
PS: I didn't use compression.

I wouldn't say a non-root solution. It was starting over again as you never gained access yo your original backup.

I was able to transfer the backup to my PC without rooting my phone. However, only when using a SD card to store my backup. You cannot transfer your backup to your PC from your internal memory.
I hope I've clarified myself.

You can transfer your backup to your PC with root and using some sort of root explorer/file manger.
I also saw methods using ADB to transfer your backup to your PC, but it was not clear if root was required using the ADB method.
Please help me to get twrp backup official moto xt1550
I had the backup by mistakenly formated SD card.
