Here's one I made a little while ago.
It has a blue colored 5 signal bar and blue ICS Battery percentage. Flash in Recovery. Remember to backup your phone before any Recovery installation (not just this one) in case things aren't to your liking or mess with some settings.

Have fun and please post if it works for you.
These icon changes are based off the EQS that scrosler originally posted so all credit goes to him
That orange and blue data logo is wicked. Can't wait to flash this tomorrow, thanks!
Also, I can't believe I'm consciously choosing to go to bed over flashing "just one more thing".

ive downloaded it twice. wont install. says failed in red.. lol TWRP 2.1.8
I re-uploaded the flashable zip file.
Try it again:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1137459&stc=1&d=1339994521
let me know if it works
If it still doesn't install through recovery: (Connect phone to PC in CHARGE MODE only)
1- Extract the SystemUI.apk file and save it in a folder.
2- Use ADB to push SystemUI.apk (extracted in step 1) to the app folder in phone
adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app/
3- Once it's pushed. Do an ADB reboot of the phone
adb reboot
4- Enjoy
Make sure that HTCSync is closed in the computer's system tray.
Also, if ADB fails at pushing the SystemUI.apk into the phone, use the remount command
adb remount
then continue from step 2.
I just flashed it using the latest twrp recovery and it worked!! Thanks for this modification. I like the look. Here is a screenshot.

Well the icons from the link in the op only have them for 4g LTE and 3g so I'm guessing they replaced the HSPA+ icons with the 4G LTE icons to make them all look the same instead of having the plain white icons for HSPA+ and the colored icons for LTE and 3g.
Iam pretty sure you can make correct ones

Works for me. I really don't mind that lte shows all the time. Just tired off looks at the plain 4g signal. Thanks for sharing.

Any Chance w can get just the 4GLte logo? I kinda like the white signal bars.
Someone could use an image editor to.cut out the 4g icon so we could have 3g, 4g, and 4g lte. Just an idea.

I have not found it in the LeeDroid rom 500+ pages of stuff. I don't have InsertCoin rom.
guys......try Sergio 76 work, he did a fashable zip for 4G, the only thing about it, it also change the name of the ROM you're using in the about phone section. not a big deal
you can find it in this section, on page 6 or 7...... [MOD] Swap H icon with 4G icon
If you use CoreDroid in Settings Tweaks and under Signal Options you can select 4G, nothing to flash or modify.
If your using ARHD, InsertCoin or LeeDroid they all have flashable zips that you can flash and change in to 4G.
It is H because all of these ROMs are based on the European ROM.
This is the file you can use.

I opened your attached file, Android_Revolution_HD_Enable_4G_Icon_2.1.x_v.0.1.zip
and noticed the icons are just switched around to fool the screen to showing what I want to see, but not actually doing what the original TMOUS rom does. I guess I'll just make a metamorph to inject the fake icons to do the same thing, as I don't think android revolution systemui.apk is the same as the Leedroid file. Thanks anyway.

I'm almost done with a MetaMorph, make that 4 MetaMorphs.
Changes all icons to 4G
Changes all icons to 4GLTE
Changes all icons to 5G
Changes all icons back to stock
I will be done making and testing them in about 1 hour from now...
MetaMorph 4G 4GLTE 5G and back to original icons
OK, as promised, here they all are. MetaMorph does not play well with the system status bar, but it does work. Run MetaMorph and unzip and apply all, then it will get a Force Close message from the status bar app. Just click the FC button about 5 times, that should let MM get its file injection done. You will see the message behind the FC to know when it has completed. Then just pull the battery and boot up, the icons will magically be there. I tried all 4 on my phone with LeeDroid rom and it works perfectly. I'm gonna put the 5G icons in before work, and mess with the iPhone guy at work.

This is a zipthemer package designed to modify the icons in the status bar. its the stock G2 images, tweaked more like the style of kitkat. transparent properties, cleaned up a little, white. ect.
instructions;
download and install zipthemer. How too on using zipthemer is here
a new file called "kitkathybrid-update.zip" and "kitkathybrid-undo.zip' should have been created. THESE are what you flash, not the file you downloaded. the update file is to make the changes, the undo, is to undo those changes.
flash the update file in recovery
all done!
Take note that in the screenshot, i have the G2 xposed mod going for transparent status bar and nav bar. This mod does NOT change those.
Change Log.. V1.1
Fixed Tmo data icons, should be white now.
V2
Changed wifi icon to be more like kit kat
change Vz 4g icon like kitkat (LTE)
Change Data indicator icons
Change Tmo 4g icon to kitkat
Soften images (hardly noticeable but i noticed it so changed it)
Made quick toggle icons white (The text is still blue, not able to change this)
changed pulldown handle to Kitkat style
V2.1
Changed the data icon layout. It was bugging me and didnt look right for the 4g and wifi. looks a lot cleaner now i think
V2.2
Added Sprint support. I think i have it all done now
V2.3
Fixed Wifi Icons. some how i made them all white lol

When you hit menu, update edify, you navigate to where mallidus (or whatever your ROM is) and select the ROM zip. Then hit configure and then when you see 'success' just hit back to go back to the main page. Then rebuild the theme and you're good to go.

Awesome. Looks exactly like nexus 5. Love that you are using the signal strength icon that has the network type right above the bars instead of taking up an entire space on their own!

Two questions.
1) Anybody know if this will work with the ATT leak? I know the title says T-Mobile but they are similar enough that I thought I'd ask.
2) the OP says some network type icons don't show up correctly. Anybody know which ones?

Can you explain what you changed to make the mobile indicator not show up on wifi? That's the one thing I would love to be able to fix.

u need to modify two XMLs and create new resource images. Best u can do is decompile my modded apks using latest apktool.
New T-Mobile 4.4 leak was posted. Can you update this mood to work with the new leak? Would be awesome... I hate the stupid always on mobile indicator. Plus I prefer AOSP indicator icons that take up less space than T-Mobile stupid huge icons

One more question. Where are you getting CWM 6.0.4.4? Are you downloading it from dhacker's post at RootzWiki? http://rootzwiki.com/topic/103441-unofficial-cwm-recovery-with-f2fs-support-unlocked-bootloader/
If so, are you using the one that says "4.4 based CWM," or just the regular one?

I'm trying to do it for 4.2.2 though. I am capable of modding the XMLs, I just need to know which ones to edit, and no one seems to be sharing this information.
Hey Community,
I found this bootanimation for the M7:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2248740
I didn't find that one for our device, so I modified the one from the above thread to match the M8 specs. I attach it to this post.
Just use any root explorer to copy it to your ROMs bootanimation location and dont forget to set permissions!
It might be necessary to rename it, just name it like your ROMs current bootanimation.
Robot sequence is looping until booted.

The bootanimation location can be different, depends on the ROM. Just use any root explorer to copy it to your ROMs bootanimation location and set the permissions. I use InsertCoin, the location is /system/customize/resource. Permissions are rw-r--r-- (644).

Thanks Diddy. It's been awhile since I've messed with a bootanimation and an even longer time dealing with an HTC Bootanimation. Works like a charm. Great work

Yes you can, make sure you don't compress the new zip otherwise you won't see anything at boot. Have fun!
