Street Fighter 4 / Resident Evil 4 - Android Apps and Games

Hello
i heard that these 2 Capcom games will be available on the android platform by May
its a month and a half later and still i dont see them in the play market
does anyone know when they will be released or any other news
i am interested in the official versions
thanks

Well since you are only interested in official stuff, I can't help you much. But these 2 games have been out for quite a while. Street Fighter 4 is ok....King of Fighters is better....has smoother animations. Biohazard 4 was great too. I didn't get too far into the game because it was in Japanese.

street fighter is my love from the past but i'm afraid that will be only port from pc/ps, to make good game for android it have to be written from zero

The King Of Fighters are much more really better, smooth & great fighting games on Android for me. Cause i'm already played since in Neo-Geo Arcade...

It sure does the only thign is that the leak version of the Biohazard 4/Resident Evil 4 is sometimes the screen gets black when you play it, and the game has been released only in Korean, it's not japanese.

I was under the impression that SFIV only works on Gingerbread. Im on ICS, it wont load the data files and I have them on the root of my SD card.

It’s still up in the air.

This should be out, I found it on a cracked apk website. But yeah you never heard of what I just said. Crack...

Recent influx of 3d games

The last week there seems to be a huge influx of quality games some made for android some ported from the Iphone... Wich is awesome but unfortunently not so much for the nexus one.. Why is that?
Primarily the ones from gameloft...
Some titles such as Gangstar: west coast hustle and modern combat: sandstorm will install but wont finnish downloading data to sd card... then the one game I would buy a I phone to play Dungeon Hunter finally ported over and it force closes after install..
Im not even going into asphault 5 on the nexus..
Anyone have better luck then me? Do they work fine on the droid? If so Why does nexus get the crap end?
New Titles that work great for me:
Backbreaker and hockey nations
Im using apps2sd and jit could this be effecting dungeon hunter? I just want to know if anyone else is having this experience? Sorry for typos I typed this up with swype

JIT has always had a negative impact for my gaming, due to it's instability. I'm sure some of your problems are based on the combination of apps2sd and JIT.
I'm running stock 2.1 and the only gameloft 3d game that works for me is Let's Golf. I'm hoping things get straightened out soon because I really want dungeon hunter. There isn't a direct link to their android site from the main page though so maybe things just aren't ready for primetime yet.

I have a few 3D games like Raging Thunder on my SD card through apps2sd on cyan 5.0.6 and it's perfect. I previously had it internal (before deploying apps2sd) and there is no difference in performance that I've noticed. It may be down to poor optimisation of the game (common with iPhone ports) or the instability of JIT
I read the reason why gameloft games don't work well is because there direct ports from iphone using powerVR optimization making the droid a better option... Altho gameloft customer service I hear is also piss poor and it took some people awhile to get a working copy of asphault 5 when it was released...
So far the same situation has occured u can buy these games only off there site for android but they dont seem to be working fort anyone

Thats weird. I've been playing all the time without any issues. Im using cyan 506 and app2sd. Never encountered fc or whatsoever.
With all of these influx, what's left is to let Android officialy install apps on sdcard. Hope that Froyo will definitely bring this to the surface.

FIFA soccer and Android

Hello folks, I just got in to the Android game with an HTC aria because I have loved previous HTC products.
I googled for a soccer game, and found a post here about FIFA 10 on Android... I can't get my phone to take me to the proper address to download it. I also tried going through the EA site, to no avail, as well as the Android Market. Any ideas, or was this game pulled off the market?
I'm pretty sure it was pulled from the Market, I went to grab it a couple of weeks ago (when I got my Galaxy S) and it vanished.
Was quite annoyed, no word from EA either from what I could see.
It's still in the market here, EA SPORTS Fifa 10. 5.50 euros.
Maybe it was pulled off the american market? Football isn't as popular over there I beleive?
and it seems the performance is pretty bad on anything not a Droid/Milestone or Galaxy S

have anybody tried Gameloft Real Football 2010?
wonder how different is this from EA Fifa 10.
I mean it'll be different, but like to know how the 2 games line up against each other.

I uninstalled Real Football 2010 on my Vibrant. The problem was it ran too fast on my system. The hardware was too much for the graphics. Kinda like playing Quake 1 with Pentium 4. These devs really need to start compensating for this problem with upcoming phones.
Just bought Real Football 2011, seems like FIFA is still stuck at 10.

[Q] Animal Crossing on the Xperia Play

Is anyone here a fan of the Animal Crossing series from Nintendo? I definitely am and I started trying to figure out if there was a way to play one of these games on my Xperia Play. After doing a little research, I discovered that the original Animal Crossing started off as Animal Forest, a Nintendo 64 game released only in Japan in 2001. In 2002 it got ported to the Gamecube and released for all regions. I have a rom of the Nintendo 64 version that had been patched for English and actually got it to load in N64oid! Unfortunately, it crashed when K.K. told me to set the game clock. Bummer! I wonder if there are any patched versions floating around that can get past this first road block, or if there is some way to set the clock in N64oid that I can't seem to find.
Is anyone else interested in playing Animal Forest/Crossing on their phone?
Don't speak of roms. You will be killed.
Yeah I defiantly would! Loved that game!
N64oid is on the SlideMe market now for android, and is being updated soon with very high compatibility.
Lets hope that includes Animal Forest. I tried running Animal Crossing on the DS emulator earlier but it was so slow that it was unplayable. It would be nice if Nintendo and other developers would recognize the potential of the Play and create their own android stores where they could release some of their older titles that could easily be optimized for the Play. I would gladly pay $10 for a perfect port of Animal Crossing.

No, not really. What I'm saying is that developers are missing a major opportunity by not releasing android-friendly ports of successful games they've created in the past. The nostalgia factor alone would drive the majority of sales.
The idea that Nintendo would voluntarily share revenue from any of their ip's with anyone is, well... Let's just say it will be a cold day in Hell.

Sounds to me like the emulator doesn't support the real time clock, necessary to emulate animal crossing...
Here is more info the real time clock, sounds like Animal Forest is the only game on the N64 to use the clock...

I wonder if this RTC patch only pertains to specific emulators. Worst case scenario, I think I could live with setting the clock whenever I played.

the device is a few months old mate, just wait and the big names will come, you will never get nintendo games on the play but rumor is that sega plans to bring alot of retro games to android, word is, it was sega that got all the emulators taken off the market
Sega is not unfriendly towards emulation. They hired Steve Snake, one of the guys behind one of the most popular Genesis emulators for PC, to emulate some of their classics for PC release in the past. Doesn't mean they weren't the reason the emulators got taken down, but just something I wanted to point out.

I used the japanese version of rom and got past the initial train ride but then crashed at entering village. N64oid should be getting that engine update anytime now. This is also my# 1 game for n64oid. Just a note, you can swap gamesaves between english version and japanes by changing gamesave file the same as the rom of language choice.

I just tried the Japanese version and got the exact same result. Man, this sucks. How cool would it be to play this game? Pulling weeds, finding classic Nintendo games...

anyone tried this on v2.0 of N64oid?
I've done the same. N64 looked playable but when I got to that dog it asked me to set the time. So I pushed x or o something a bunch of times.. and it worked. But when I got on the train the game looked terrible and it wasn't showing text input/responses and the textures were spazing out and changing colors. I'm sticking to harvest moon on my snes emulator.

I'm not so sure Neo.Emu supports the people that made the game. This game app is made by SNK Playmore.
It's more than a simple port of the original game. Xperia Play Optimized, full Play button control, 16:9 support (it really just stretches the image ), old school display scan lines, anti-aliasing, bluetooth multiplayer, etc.
Support your local skateshop. :good: I bought it because I can download it to both of my Android devices and enjoy multiplayer. Not exactly sure it is worth the $6.99, but it is definitely fun. Will post screenshots later if you guys would like.
Wait, this is Xperia Play Optimized? Ohhh will get, I love Metal Slug.

It is so much better to play full ported games then emulators. They run at full speed and with everything intact (sound, graphics, etc)
Not saying emulation is bad (I play with emus most days) but it's use is for games which can't be played natively, for getting a more original feel to a certain game if its changed for the worst in the porting, or for playing your legally owned game copies.
Emulation is mostly looked upon as illegal. This metal slug 3 is an arcade game, who here has a old neo-geo metal slug machine that can legally make a Rom for use with mame or other? Anyone?
Sorry to moan but hate seeing comments like this all the time. We need to support developers or the gaming business go's bust and new games won't be made.

Well... iOS got an upgraded version of KoF-i (which we know as King of Fighters Android) with a ton of new characters and online play.
Perhaps this is a sign of more SNK support to come? If we can get that as our definite online fighter... damn... the one piece of leverage my PSVita holds over Xperia Play is gone :\

Great on Tablet S as well, multiplayer is very smooth, no lag on either device when playing linked. Only complaint on Tablet S is that , when using a DS3, R3/L3 is jump not X
LAGS like hell on my XP running stock 2.3.3 , even after a fresh boot and running Supercharger Super 512hp and engine flush.
Tips?
The game starts like a thunder, but after a few minutes it becomes unplayable...
THE LAG IS TERRIBLE!!!
We need an update right now to fix it, many of us love this game... And $6.99 was really expensive for a very laggy game!!!
WHY GOD, WHYYY!!! :-(
same with above . . . .become laggy after few minutes play . . .any suggest ??

I had problems playing several different games when I was running custom ROMs, since flashing OEM 2.3.4 I haven't had any issues.
the latest app update took away the menu sound effects, booo. everything is still smooth for me however.

RPG Games for the Infinity

Anybody has any suggestion for some good RPG games for the Infinity?
Hopefully, some that would utilize well the good screen resolution of the tablet
I know there's a separate thread for games but I guess RPG gamers out there would appreciate the filter
Thanks a lot ^_^
There's an old buggy port of Baldur's Gate for Android and there's a proper tablet version coming soon, for what it's worth...
I believe you'll find more Diablo-like games (Heroes Call, for example) than proper RPGs which seem to be getting out of fashion, but I'm waiting for some hints here as well, perhaps someone knows something (HD) tablet-optimised.

It's a bit pricey but Square did a good job remaking Final Fantasy 2. It's not out of this world on the graphics but its still fun. Look up some youtube videos of the game play.
One more vote for Final Fantasy III, the game looks amazing on the infinity and the controls are well thought out.
If you're a fan of JRPGS (turn based selection combat) then any of the games by KEMCO are good. The story may not be as epic as chrono trigger, but it gets the job done lol
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...lution+Co.,+Ltd.)#?t=W251bGwsbnVsbCxudWxsLDNd
Finally you can also play all the old RPGS with an SNES emulator, I suggest https://play.google.com/store/apps/...vbS5idWJibGV6YXBnYW1lcy5zdXBlcmduZXNfbGl0ZSJd
I've been playing all the fan translated rpgs that were released in Japan but not for the US like suikoden 3!
are these turn based?
got that final fantasy III game and i must say that it definitely is awesome... they actually did a lot of change in the graphics compared to the original one...
i wonder what else is out there for our infinity? I just downloaded Horn and so far it looks great... but im actually looking for some more Japanese RPG games similar to final fantasy... any other suggestion?

I just noticed DosBox Turbo is available. OH MAN. I wonder if I can get Master of Magic and some other great classics running in it! That really opens up the possibilities!!
I'm crossing my fingers for Gameloft to properly port Order and Chaos to the infinity.
The game was sweet on my Galaxy Nexus, so I wonder how it will be on this baby!

If the you have the snes emulator and a good source of roms, see if they have 7th saga. That was pretty neat growing up. It had about 4 or 5 main characters to play as with different story lines.
While waiting for O&C, check out Iruna Online. I think the company is still working on an official final release but it is promising. You have your group online game play etc. Makes you wonder what Gameloft is doing when a much smaller company can release a beta version of their online game that is compatible with our TF700.
Also if you like old school Baulder's Gate style RPGS I have to recommend Avadon: The Black Fortress

looking for those types......................
For turn based I rate the following :
Call of Cthulhu : Wasted Land
Xenowar
The first is a seriously brilliant horror rpg based in H P Lovecraft's world and during the first world war.
The second is a very good remake of X-Com Enemy Unknown.
bringing this back up as Bard's Tale isnt jiving real well with JB for me. Even in performance mode, when you run into several enemies the game slows to a crawl and eventually force closes.
Anyone else having this issue or have a solution?

I bought Bard's Tale HD version (3,5GB) but the performace during the game is really low. I must change Performance mode to MEDIUM ( Infinity actually is the the best Android tablet and I must play in medium level to play without any lags ?? WTF). As the game dedicated for Tegra 3 is really not optimized or Tegra 3 is overrated.

I choose Performance mode in tablet settings. Next time to play. In performace options (in game) I choose maximum and let's go. Everything looks really nice (moving around tavern) until you meet the fist enemy. There is fire, big monster and at this moment I have terrible lags. My "hero" is moving so slowly and there is no any pleasure with playing. When I set performance mode (in game) to medium it looks great. So my question is: Tegra 3 is overrated or game not fully optimized or maybe both...
