Well, I wrote nice "review" in this edited post, but whatever was the reason, the xda website was "unavailable" when I click save - and now it is gone, damn!
I really don't feel like typing it all again, sorry. Here's the gist of it: IT WORKS.
"USB Cradle Dock Battery Charger For HTC Sensation" for MyTouch 4G Slide

Price: $9.99 (incl. free shipping from Hong Kong)
Store: just do ebay search, tons of different sellers have it
Comes with standalone charger (AC 100-240V, DC 5V 1A, cable with standard microUSB plug - all specs same as HTC's original charger).
The USB cable I am using to charge it from my own charger (as seen in my photos) is cradle's own cable that's permanently attached to the back.
The charging light is one of those horribly bright blue LEDs (what happened to the nice and subtle green LEDs? It seems like they don't make them anymore ). I have already cover it with piece of black electrical tape, otherwise it would lit half of my bedroom at night...
DOCK PHOTOS
Dock - front:
Dock - right side:
Dock - left side:
Dock - top view:
Dock - rear:
Dock - bottom:
It is sold as dock for HTC Sensation, but obviously it was manufactured for ancient by now HTC Titan!
Standalone Charger: (comes with it)
(notice how twisted is the cable that it bends like this on it's own - that's why mine arrived d.o.a); below close up of the bend spot where it is broken (probably)
Although my set came with broken charger, I have tested it with my original HTC charger and cable plugged into micro-USB rear port of the dock, and it works (it is charging the phone), same as the dock's built-in USB "data" cable attached on the back. Despite seler's description on ebay, both can be used to charge our phone.
Also note that i.e. "my" seller doesn't say anything about the charger.
His description states as follows:
Package Includes:
1x USB Cradle Dock Battery Charger
Click to collapse
(confusing, isn't it? I was under impression that it does NOT come with charger until I emailed the seller)
And since the USB cable itself can be used for charging too, I am thinking about buying another one and using it as CAR DOCK (holder) in my car. All it needs is adding few thin rubber strips (so the phone won't rattle when driving) and maybe mounting it on my dashboard anti-slippery mat or using sometghing to prevent sliding, it would nicely compliment my wireless FM transmitter plug (I wrote about it in other thread)
My conclusion:
GOOD PRODUCT, GOOD QUALITY DOCK, EXCELLENT PRICE!
(even though my charger is d.o.a it is still good deal)
This is product image most sellers use on ebay:
(so you know what to look for, if interested)

Ehhh lol it hasn't arrived yet and I don't know will it really fit MT4GS... I took "guesstimated" chances ordering it, same as I did with "Gold" battery, and although I did view pictures and got exact measurements and what-not - but until I have it physically connected with my phone I won't know for sure is it good (or not), so be patient I will change 1st post when it arrives.
Have you found (or use) any?

Not really. I just posted on behalf of anyone that may use it too. My phone sits on my night stand charging before I go to sleep. Never really found much use for a dock.

Very same here - and that's why I want a "charging dock" for my night table by my bed, before I scratch phone's protruding camera glass or before the glass scratches my night table (either one is bound to happen )
Actual "desktop docks" were needed in old times when I had to sync my phone with Outlook on PC, but since I switched to using Google's email/calendar/contacts (and now even their OS) I have no need for "desktop" part of the dock. I just want a "stand" for MT4GS

My phone never comes in contact with any hard surface. I always put it on at least a piece of paper or something softer. When charging, it sits on top of my wallet. I take care of my phones extremely well
For all of you who don't miss your Palm Pilots sync-up but just want convenient charging, one solution is the Powermat contactless charging. For this phone, you can get the custom battery cover from TMobile for $10, and single-position charging stations are available similarly cheap from many sellers.
Here is a thread about it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1479258
Well, it arrived in just 4 days! Fastest shipping from Asia ever, I was very surprised and also unhappy, that's why no link to the seller, as explained in my "review" (first post, edited).
I know you're frustrated from losing a big in-progress posting, but can you clarify? You say you are unhappy, but you also said it works.
Also, I can't quite tell from the photos. Does the phone settle right down so some built-in USB thingy slides into the phone, or do you need to plug some USB cable into the phone after you've got it on the dock?

I modified an iPhone cradleto a Htc Desire cradle, later today i will post the instructions about how to modify this about 5 dollar cradle.
it fits perfectly because the iPhone has almost the same witdh and tickness .
i'm not responsible when you screw up the cradle or phone, i'm just sharing my creation.
This are the items, you need:
The Iphone dock: $4.51
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.31705
The dock cable: $1.80
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.40078
The dock for using the female connector: $3.14
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.21892
Micro usb plug And Mini usb: $2.24
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.36150
Preparation:
Start bij disessemble the " Micro usb plug And Mini usb" and "The dock for using the female connector" cable
The easiest way to do this is by using a knife to, the 1 cable is a bit difficult because it's glues together, make shure you het the mico usb like this and the mini usb like this.
Tip: try to keep the red and black wire from the female mini usb connected, this prevents solding work later on.
Also when you extract the female ipod connector keep the wires attached so you can soldeer it lateron to the micro usb (male), when you done it right, it will look like the picture below, with the wires connected.
(Don't mention the desiciptions of the pins on the picture below.)

Opening op the cradle:
On the first sight you won't find any screw-hols on the bottom, but they are the on the left and right side of the cradle bottom the are weak spots in the rubber, make 2 holes and you will see 2 screws, und-screw them an open up the cradle.
when the cradle is opened you'll see a print, you can remove it, it's not nessery anymore, in my first attemt i tried to use the audio port also but then i figuered out that the HTC Desire has no audio over usb option.
Assembling the HTC DESIRE dock
Starting with the most tricky part, solding the wire from the ipod femal connector to the micro usb male like the thumb below.
(Make sure the wires al long enough)
when this is done make a hole in the housing on the left side of the ipod connector. This is for the mini usb (female). Solder the black and red wire of the mini usb to the pins on the ipod female connector.
Now the difficult part is done.
Take some black tape an cover the innerside of the hole where the ipod male connector was. In the middle make is small insision where lateron the micro usb male connector had to fit through.
Take the bottom plate of the cradle and carefully take away some plastic like the photo below
Now this is done, the easy part begin. It's glueing time
Take your beautiful solding work and fit it in the cradle starting by fitting the ipod femal in the ipod female hole, and the mini usb female in the mini usb hole.
Stick the micro usb male intro the insision you made and attach your phone to it. To make use everything fit, assemble the bottom to the cradle.
When this is fits, heat up your glue gun or plastic glue and qlue everything in place, be carefull that you dont glue your phone to the cradle
Wait for a day so the glue is hard and than attach the bottom to the cradle.
and "whala" a beautiful Desire Cradle
pictures below are to help you get an idea.
cool thanks

Try using ebay international. U would be able to find the desktop charger plus a spare battery for usd12. Thats where i got mine.
Got mine from eBay: Desk Smart Swivel Stand For Google Nexus One HTC Desire (search on eBay)
Steel base, multiple position (dock mode), possibility to separate parts, well-finished.
15 bucks with shipping fees (free).

Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
what fuctions does a dock exactly serve? apart from looking pretty?
Does the phone automatically switch to the desktop clock mode once plugged in? or similar?
As you said it looks nice on your work desk or at night as a clock.
But it also provide a nice and efficient way to refill your battery.
However i don't think that you it auto switches to desktop clock, you have to set in on your own. Some said that it's cradle specific, but i'd rather think that the Desire doesn't allow it, contrary to the N1
Just got mine this morning, it shipped pretty fast from HK.
Usually it takes around 3 weeks, and this time not even one
For 14euros i got a really nice usb cradle with the room to put another battery, a free screen protector (really efficient and easy to put on) and an extra power adapter with the plugs according to your country (EU/US/UK...).
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110542237110&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:FR:1123
Can't take pictures right now, but it's definitely worth buying from him since he's a serious ebayer.
Looks nice, do you have a case on your phone? Just wondering if mine will fit on it with a case.
Not yet, they shipped from HK since 2 weeks and yet not arrived, while i bought this one on July 29th and it arrived today (Aug. 3rd),
There's really little room on the sides so I think that a "barely there" case (original or copy version) would fit.
Here's the copy i've ordered that might fit: http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250663722867&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
On the contrary, this one might be a little bit bigger in order to fit : http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250663666312&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Glasses alright? ;-)
Dude, promise me that you put on your glasses next time when you publish photos online
A little bit off topic, but does anyone know a cradle that would fit a Desire with invisibleshield applied?
Hey guys. I ordered an orb and it should be here in the next few days. I am thinking about taking it apart and mounting the orb inside my bed side table. It's just made out of pine. I'm planning to router the under side of the table down to be only 1/8 - 1/16" thick so that there is very little for the charger to have to work through. I figure since wood is very porous and non conductive it should be able to do it. Has anyone tried this yet?
EDIT:
So I re-routered the wood down to just 0.020" thickness (approx 1/64") and it works! Here is a video of it in action:
whelp, im going to be the guinea pig on this one. here are my progress pics.
The end table (that I made 15 years ago in high school):

An area that I think will work well, approx 3x3" under the top of the table:
And after plunge routering the area out.
I left the wood thickness at about 0.080" which is roughly 3/32". As soon as the orb arrives this week I will see if it will charge through it, and if the gets hot, and if the rate of charge is affected by the wood.
AW: Inductive charging through thin wood?

Awesome!
Im pretty sure it will work perfectly

Re: Integrating orb charger into night stand.
It should probably work, but you could have bought a cheaper charger. The orb is quite expensive and there are much cheaper Qi chargers available

All the cheap ones seemed kinda sketchy, and the decent ones are either not available (in Canada) or cost the same/more anyways.
Edit:assuming it works well I'll probably pick up another charger to use in this project once the decent ones come down in price then I'll bring the orb to work.
Re: Integrating orb charger into night stand.
If this works, you are a genius. Well, you get credit either way for even thinking to try it. Please update and let us know if it works. What's better than setting your phone on the night stand and having it charge? Every one of my drops so far has occurred when the cord gets pulled and brings the phone off the nightstand with it.
cool DIY!
though it may be a waste to dismantle the Orb for this.
There is already some model designed for table charging. But if it charges through the wood surface, the idea of hidden charging pad is definately much cooler!
woot! my orb is shipped, left KY last night, in OH this morning. Scheduled to arrive Thursday!
This is a cool project, but if I were to do it, what I would try is dismantling a charger (orb works, I would use the LG charging pad), making room for it in the desk and just have it be exposed, making sure everything is level, then cover the entire top in 3M vinyl with a wood pattern. It is going to be REALLY difficult to make actual wood be thin enough, but I look forward to seeing how you manage it!

Ive looked high and low and can not find the LG WCP700 charging pad / ANY quality qi charger for less than the orb.
I think im going to keep the orb intact but maybe just remove the rubber part. I figure the thickness of the wood is less than that rubber piece and/or a TPU case so it should have little to no effect on it. Ill be using the official nexus bumper with just a rear screen protector to cut down on the amount of stuff that the charge has to pass through. Like I said though, I have already routered the wood is down to only 0.080" thickness which is already thinner than a standard TPU case that people are successfully charging through.
Its kinda funny - you can tell where the spot is from the top because it feels like the face of a drum. Once the charger is mounted under their though it should firm it up a bit... at least I hope. Kinda afraid to puncture through it. LOL.
also, my orb is now in Toledo OH... just 130mi away... would be sweet if it shows up early
I posted a similar question recently and didn't get much response.
To me, I want a landscape charging stand with NFC. The NFC is easy with a sticker-tag, and I currently have this cheap plastic stand that I put an NFC sticker on. The challenge is that I still have to plug my phone in, and the cord makes the landscape a bit wonky.
I was wondering if anyone had dismantled a wireless charger and inserted the pad/coils/whatever into the back of a landscape stand. Wood is obviously the easiest, but if someone has a 3D printer, you could get really fancy with it.
Interested to hear how you get by with your project, too, though.
Well the orb came in and I'm sad to report that it barely charges through 3/32" thickness of pine wood. You have to very exactly place it dead center for it to recognize it, and it charges really slow. I'm not done with this idea but it is back to the drawing board.
WORKS! Check out original post.

Saw the vid! Looks awesome! But I would need a NFC sticker or a X to mark the spot. And it would never work for me because I have stuff all over my nightstand lol.
I only also have a tv remote. I'm going to put some kind of mark to help locate it, but it works great otherwise. I also have the current widget and there is not a decrease in charging current either.

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Qi-s...ile-phone-general-radio-charge/758486168.html
So after picking up my S5 and absolutely HATING the USB3 connector on it, I decided I would go to a wireless charger. Read reviews and everyone has a different opinion so I got what I could find easily on eBay.
I picked up a charger for my wife's S4 and my S5, though not from the same seller (Neither seller had charge cards for both phones)
Wife got a pink one (to match her Otterbox Defender....more on that in a minute) and I picked up a blue one for my S5
Hers arrived and I went to work putting in the card. Worked flawlessly even through the big Otterbox. Awesome!
Mine came a few days later. Put the card in my phone (no case) and plugged in the charger. First thing I notice is the light to let you know its plugged in is VERY dim compared to the wife's. Weird but ok. Put the charge card in and put it on the charger.....nothing. Move it around some...finally find the exact spot it needs to charge (which happens to be 180 degrees from how you use the phone) Just a slight touch and its not charging. Also noticed her charging indication light on the pad is green, the one on mine was a very, very dim red.
So, thinking its the charge card...I test with the pink Qi charger. Works fine no matter how I put it on.
Contacted the seller, they told me to take the case off my phone, after my initial complaint stated I do not use a case on my phone. That was it..all communication stopped after their first response. I eventually won the case and got a refund. Seller was "findmall".
Anyway, the wife found she doesn't use hers as much as she though so I swapped insides (I can't use a pink charger lol). Here are the pics...the one I ordered for mine (blue) looks quite a bit different, both in quality of the charge coil solder connections, and the circuit board. Both look identical on the outside other than color.
Hope this helps someone. The good charger came (very quickly) from "accmonster" on eBay and was about $3 more.
Pics of them opened up before the swap:

From my shopping I'd think there are very few factories actually making these things, My LuguLake one is very similar externally. It does work fine for all my Qi capable devices. Amazon/ebay sellers often have 8-10 Qi chargers, probably the same internals.
I also have a raw Qi transmitter ordered from China that works ok, very bright LEDs. I haven't installed it in a case or whatever yet but the LEDs are almost too bright. It is a different design from your 2.

The coil was pictured as a separate piece on ebay, wired to the board. I was a little bummed to see it sandwiched as it doubles thickness making the existing car mount I wanted to mod not feasible with out weakening it to much. I may make a nightstand or desk top with it embedded. Need to test how well it works through a thin veneer. But it does work fine in basic testing.
The Lugulake QI charger has the identical back as yours also, gotta be same case maker and probably same factory.

Works pretty well. I disabled the sound- found an old thread on here that showed how to do it. Pretty simple to do.
As far as the dual standing desktop charger goes, do we know if this will work with the factory receiver backing plate? The Tylt View does not because the receiver on the phone is in the wrong place for it.

This is the same with my sanwa/maxell standing charger base, although it does have 7 coils, the samsung wireless back does not work the normal way, you have to place the phone upside down or horizontally.
updated first post.

it depends on which receiver you are using.
I am using the Samsung OEM charging back and the Tylt Vu horizontal and vertically. No issues here. I have two of them.

I can'treally comment on this as I don'thave the tylt charger.
thanks for the info.
I have the expower charger and matching ultra thin card
Very unobtrusive doesn't get to hot while charging and has quite a decent pickup area when used with the ultra slim card cost for the charger and card around £34 from amazon whole pad is about 12 mm thick and around 65 mm in diameter. Charges my s5 through an otterbox defender no problem.

I agree, the powerqi T200 is a decent charger, the coils and PCB is good quality and does have a good detection with most phones, but I prefer the metrans MWT 03S, much smaller and very good detection, but only available in black with aluminum frame, I would like to see a whte version.
MWT 03 all plastic
MWT 03S with aluminum frame.
I highly recommend these, although they are single coil, they detect the phone pretty well and charge pretty cool, with good style, the LED is not so bright and they are made in korean.
Now i'm using the Araree/powerholic different names in different market, the uneven surface allows the phone to charge cooler.
The edge of the center part has a rubber ring to prevent the phone from slipping or moving around.

I got a wireless charger and receiver on ebay it is round and slanted so I use it almost like a dock
the issue is the phone keeps turning on and gives me the BAttery fully charged notification.. is there a way to stop that notification?
also the wireless charging notification comes on as a box and while that is on I can not do anything on the phone and have to wait 5seconds for it to go away .. it would be nice if the wireless charging notification could be much less intrusive..
P.s. my charger charges the phone at 620ma which is better than my 10ft long usb charger at 300ma and worst than my wall charger at 1200ma.
Has anyone managed to try a few of these out? Any comments on which works the best?
Personally after having 4 different 3rd party chargers I've stuck to the Samsung ones. They just seem less fussy about placement. They also don't have annoyingly bright LEDs. Over here they are £25 on Amazon. Worth paying the extra £10 or so over the cheaper ones.
Do any of these 3rd party chargers work with the Samsung s view wireless case?
Portable Wireless Charger Power Bank 4000 mAh
I was wondering if anyone has tried the Qi-infinity™ Portable Wireless Charger Power Bank 4000 mAh on Amazon. Unfortunately, I cannot link it because I haven't posted a lot on XDA.
It has great reviews from verified purchasers but I'm still skeptic. I'll place an order for it tomorrow morning if no one has tried it and update when I've used it.
Cool type-c charging dock is available for all type-c charging interface. I think it is so cool.
Charging as well as function as a stand dock for watching at good angle.

Can you do better than that? Without at least a product name, no one can possibly find the product you're talking about... How about a direct link? (witrig.com ain't a thing.)
EDIT: Nevermind
I am so sorry. I have no right to post a link before, so i just give a blurred address. http://www.witrigs.com/type-c-charging-dock-station-black Here is the Type-C charging dock. Hope it does help.

I don't think Sarvi dock supports USB C.

It sure does - you use your existing USB C cable. There's an adapter you run your cable through, then tighten the set screws to hold it in place. It's a pretty ingenious design, which explains why their kickstarter got funded so quickly.
If you view their videos, you'll see what I'm referencing.

It just holds the cable and works with any type according to their website. Another member posted in a separate OP saying it worked with the google type c cable. I have one enroute so I'll let you know
Can confirm that the Sarvi dock works perfectly fine with the stock Google USB-C cable (I have one currently sitting on my desk - pic of it in another thread)

I'm using the Sarvi Dock paired with the official 3 ft-long USB A-C cable from the Google Store. Pretty happy with it so far because its adapter system lets me use any cable of varying connector size and its 100% case-compatible just by adjusting how much the USB connector sticks out from the docking base, and the angle at which the phone rests. There's a thin rubber strip that keeps the phone from wobbling side to side, and sticky feet on the bottom so it stays firmly on my desk. It's really solidly-built, with zero flex.
I put an NFC sticker on it so I could enable dock mode with just a tap, at the expense of preserving the minimalist design.
Backed it long before I knew the 6P existed, else I'd have gotten the matching aluminium one, but the white looks equally nice on my desk, as well.

Just picked up 2 in Grey, thanks a lot my man. May not use it a ton at work as I can't seem to kill the battery, but I miss having a nice stand here.
Thanks for this, ordering one as well! I miss a dock for my office desk.
Any concern that it appears the only thing supporting the phone is the USB-C connector? Any accidental movement causing the phone to shift side to side could damage the plug, right?
I received my Sarvi Dock a couple of days ago and love it - so much I'm ordering another for the office. Looks great, works great.

The phone rests against a back support that has a silicone pad, which stabilizes and holds the phone in position. You can set the depth of the USB C male connector so the phone rests on the base.
Barring a significant lateral blow to the phone in stand, I have zero concern about the design and potential damage to the connector. Just my 2¢.
Regarding these docks, do you need to hold the dock down with one hand while pulling the phone up with the other in order to unplug the phone? All my USB C connections seem quite stiff

I bought the Sarvi dock, and it depends on the cable you use. I used my 6ft Google cable and I can remove my phone 1 handed without the dock moving. The Sarvi dock isn't exactly what I expected and despite looking nice the cable set up is more of a makeshift solution IMO. The dock works, but there are some questionable design choices for it that certainly could have been implemented better.
