Hi...
I'm using AOKP M5 for a week and flashed GLaDOS 2.11 kernel last night.
After flashing the new kernel gamma level seems to have increased, now how do I tweak 'color and gamma' on my Nexus S with this ROM and Kernel combination?
after googling what i've learned
1) AOKP RC gamma and color tuning is only meant for GNex and is not supported for *any* Nexus S kernel.
2) GLaDOS 2.11 has Voodoo Color V2 support but the Voodoo Control app on Play Store seems to have been replaced with Voodoo Sound only!
3) NSTools provides interfaces for many GLaDOS tweaks but there's no interface for Voodoo Sound or Color features.
You probably can tell from my question that I'm new to modding.. but I'm trying to learn on my as much as I can by reading here n on Rootzwiki.. but got stuck with this situation.. Please help...
Voodoo Sound app includes Voodoo color. Voodoo Control->Voodoo Sound is only a change of name. So use Voodoo Sound and scroll to the bottom to find Voodoo Color configuration.
Bah...! That was an unfortunate change of name I must say... :-/
Thank you very much anyway

Current things of interest:
- Overclock up to 1.6ghz [Use a tool such as Setcpu to overclock]
- 2.6.36.4 kernel base
- CIFS included
- TUN built-in
- NTFS support
- Voodoo Sound
All sources can be found on my github (see signature)
These are designed to be flashed via clockwork, or you can flash them via Shinzul's Kernel Manager (Available on the android market)
Disclaimer: You flash these at your own risk, and assume any and all potential consequences, including (but not limited to), loss of data, meltdown of your device, world destruction, injury of assorted puppies, spoiling of your glass of milk, revocation of chocolate privileges...etc. In all seriousness, it's an experimental kernel, so treat it as such, and enjoy.
Overclocking disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed to be stable (that's simply common sense). If an overclock speed is not stable, your device may not be able to handle it and you should try a lower speed.
BE SAFE!!! MAKE A NANDROID BEFORE FLASHING SO YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO FALL BACK ON
Current version: Netformer 1.6 (For Honeycomb 3.2) [Also available in Kernel Manager, from the Android Market]

Code:
Changelog:
Revision 1.6:
- Updated for Honeycomb 3.2
- Due to some rather large changes by ASUS in the kernel, the tap-to-click disabler app currently will not function in this latest kernel. If it is possible to bring the functionality back, it shall be done.
Revision 1.5:
- Updated to support android 3.1
- Added Voodoo Sound
*Your quadrant epeen may not be quite so large (though they may be more accurate) due to some bug fixes from upstream, if there is room for improvement, it will be explored*
Revision 1.4r2:
- Fix a bug causing wifi to break when the tablet sleeps
Revision 1.4:
- Add SLQB memory allocator
- Set timer to 1000hz
- Add 1.504 and 1.6ghz frequency steps
- Add preliminary toggle interface to allow tap-to-click to be disabled (See OP for a nice gui front-end for the toggle, courtesy of vividboarder)
Revision 1.3:
- Assorted bugfixes, including a possible fix for a bug that could lead a cpu core to 'forget' it's speed policy and wander out of sync
Revision 1.2:
- Power regulator bug fixes that may address the "SoD" issue experienced even by users on the stock kernel
(technically not actually a sleep of death)
Revision 1.1:
- Adjusted voltage levels for stability
- Added NTFS support
- Assorted bugfixes

Can't wait! overclock kernel for TF101, im constantly pressing F5 on your github.
Edit:
I just flashed the kernel, setcpu to 1400, omgash its so fast i think i traveled back in time which makes me the first poster in this thread of awesomeness!
i see the OP says it is designed to be flashed in cwm, i was under the impression that kernels had to be flashed as a blob through adb. is that no longer the case?

P.S. on stock kernel what is the lowest freq the transformer goes to?
New android user here (3 weeks) and I just got the new Infused on my phone last night. But im not too sure on what the actual differences are? I know it had a different launcher (one i didnt like because I like 5x5 icons) but thats all that really seemed different to me. The status bar looked like a diff with a diff battery icon and a few different icons. Not trying to be a downer but what is the main reason people switch over to the Infused rom???
The main features are Voodoo lagfix and sound. The lagfix changes the filesystem that the phone uses to one that is much faster which makes your phone faster and smoother all around. I'm not sure on the details about Voodoo sound but I believe it basically installs different sound drivers that make better use of the high end sound card that the infuse has, making all of your music sound better.
There are other things such as other speed improvements, removed stock AT&T apps, and new themes as well.
Basically, it makes your phone way faster and better, themes it, and removes all of the unwanted crap.

Speed I havent noticed too much yet, but it was also fast as hell before and im coming from an iphone 4 so the big speed jump from that made this one less noticeable to me. So basically it uncluttered the phone and mades a few things different so they ran more efficient and cleaner?
and is there anything special I can do now? I know it says unbranded app market so what apps are there that I couldnt get before?

It was a question about the infused rom which is part of development so I figured it belonged here, sorry for the mistake
I think moto was saying that you could have posted this "in" the Infused ROM thread.
I'm on Infused 1.5 too. There are a wealthy of improvement built into the rom. See the change log for everything you need to know man.
I'm surprised this thread is still open. I'll answer the question anyways. the rom is based on the updated firmware, many people are unable to get it ota, it is deodexed which removes unneeded files that take up space, it is zipaligned(not completely sure what that really does) att bloat is removed, sensor related batery drain is reduced, wifi poling is less frequent(saves battery if wifi is enabled but you are not connected) low mem killer is tweaked(may improve performance) rfs file system is replaced with ext4 with special mount options for best performance without losing data (there are faster file systems but many don't have journaling or are not very standard), it has an improved driver for the headphone amp with bass boost and presets for recording levels and quality settings. a launcher with less lag and transparent background, cwm recovery without a need to mod 3e recovery.
basically it is a bit smoother, which may be hard to notice because the infuse runs pretty good, it has less of what you font need, and it has somethings you need made easier. and even things you didn't know you wanted but once you try it out you won't want to get rid of it

Please excuse the dbag, quite a few of them here, but there are enough helpful people that make this place usefull.
Rom developement forum is for the devs to post info on roms. I think they prefer questions in the rom thread itself or in general.
Motomudder77 , good job making newbies feel welcome. He said he was new to android. So reading the change log 100 times would do no good. If you cant post something helpful then dont post.
Dave
Ask your question in the Infused ROM thread, don't start a new thread.

I came to the Charge after a brief stint with the Nexus S 4G. On that device, there was a Voodoo-based kernel available which allowed the user to make adjustments to the color settings of the display. AFAIK, these color modifications are not included in the Voodoo kernel for the charge. Does anyone know whether it is possible to incorporate these in a future kernel and/or whether there is any other method out there to tweak the display?
I looked at incorporating Voodoo Color, but the methods that are modified by the Voodoo Color changes do not exist in our display driver.

Too bad. Thanks for the quick reply though, imnuts.
A have a question.
1)I have install pixel rom 1.7 for nexus s + matr1x kernel. The device runs very smoothly .No problems at all only when trying to see youtube vids through browser it's very slow and if i hit fullscreen it might get stuck!Anyone experiencing this problem?
2)A have read many things that pixel rom includes :Voodoo Sound v10
Voodoo Colour v2
Deep Idle Bluetooth Fixes
Updated colour schemes
Transparent Notification Pulldown
Transparent Power Widgets .....
and so many other.
My question is i tried to find voodoo music & voodoo colors and i can't find them.I mean aren't they build-in the system(kinda o noob question i know )
.Apart the apex launcher i canot see any difference.
3)If i wish to install a different rom or kernel i simply zip it above the current or is there a different procedure?
Thanx for your time!
Hi,
I just want to know whether there are any kernels out there which is exactly similar to Stock with have the ability to use Display Control? Or are there any ways to add that feature to stock kernel?
Thanks alot
Well, if its a stock kernel it wont have the display control. And if its a custom kernel, it can have it. But the custom kernel will change much more than just adding the screen control. And that the only way to get it, unless you build yourself a stock kernel + display control.
ElementalX lets you choose stock kernel settings in the installer and allows you to change the color profile.
