I have wind Moblie X720 Milestone
Running base firemware I want to Flash it
But I am worried if Flash it I will lose my baseband..
4 Questions
(1) What steps are Needed to keep my baseband.
(2)what Flash Rom is most up to Date and working well
(3) is there way to back up old Firmware before I flash it
(4) I am looking for Video to walk me threw Flashing the phone

My Rom is ICS,
I have been struggling for the past 5 days to resolve this issue on my O3D.
Im new to flashing Roms and basebands so please bear with me.
The phone just stopped reading my sim card and no network. I took it into an LG shop they advised that i upgrade from Gingerbread to ICS, so i used the LG support tool to update to 4.0.4
After this it reads my sim card, but no Network, No IMEI.
Tried 3 different sim cards to no avail.
I called LG and they said i need to update from the country i received the phone from. I dont know which country the device comes from as i got it as a gift.
What i noticed is that while flashing all these diff roms the baseband stays the same: XMM6260
KERNEL: 3.0.21
I am in Mongolia and not sure what baseband to use or how to flash just the baseband.
Any help would be highly appreciated please, im getting desperate!LG says i need to get the IMEI showing to fix the issue.

I can't find my imei under the battery. Where is it? is it hexadecimal?
By the way, Flashing a baseband file (fls) won't fix imei. You still get no signal no imei nothing.
Go back to GB over the KDZ UPDATE. ONLINE!!!
after that flash the KDZ you like over the OFFLINE method.

Where is IMEI ? i have this problem too
It should be a long number (something like 12 or 15 digits) in the battery compartment, unless someone removed it to steal it or for some other reason.
Man, LG Update tool is a piece of... work..., I'll say 'work.'

I had the same issue and fixed by following some topics here..just set a new imei (Original imei i mean) ...
i use terraterm which is handy for terminal emulation.

i have following problem with xbsall's release of the ICS rom:
the IMEI isn't shown if i dial *#06# but if i connect my O3D with the PC and check it with a terminal and the command "at%imei" it's shown the correct IMEI
Why i'm looking for IMEI.? if i insert my SIM card, power my O3D and there is no signal. So i thinked, that this missing IMEI is the promblem.
please teach me a better way if I'm wrong.
Some information about my O3D:
-first falshed with xbsall's .bin and .fls files
-then rooted
-flashed TWRP with an app
-wiped and format how I red in the tut of xbsall
-flashed his rom first in normal version, but this was rebooting often
-this reboots suck after some time and i started to do it again (flashing bin and fls, rooting, ... )
-then flashed the rom in version 1 (Greek version) --> this is free of reboots :victory:
-now it's nearly like after flashing (only some conf. changed, e. g.: WiFi)
my sim card is a German Vodafone card.

My devices is SU760 and i want to try to change it's baseband. I will try to test if the P920 baseband will work on SU760.

when you change basebands, it does not show in Settings=> about phone
to check your baseband you need to download GETRIL from playstore.
it shows the existing baseband and recommended baseband.
please do not download any baseband based on the GETRIL results. use it only to check the baseband on the phone.
