so I decided to put 2.3.6 SuperCharged V6 on my Atrix 2 and have since been getting a "SD card not found" or something similar to that....I have to unmount the memory card then mount it again for my gallery to properly work or to download anything from an email/web etc....also, my battery life drains so quickly compared to all of the people who say they have amazing batter life. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I cant respond to the original thread *noob alert*

What class/size sdcard are you using? Have you tried to re-format it and see if your issues still persist? Also, which version of SCv6 did you install, the 1100MHz or the 1200MHz?

Had this problem. My desktop has an MicroSD adapter. Restarted my phone and then it worked. But I guess reformat as a last resort?

I have a class 4 - 8 gig card. I installed the lower install of it since I read a few bad things about the 1250 install. and I reformatted it BEFORE i did this install....maybe I'll give that another shot.

After flashing a new rom, you need to afford your device some time to 'adjust' and also, charging fully overnight and in the morning wiping battery stats might be a good idea as well after a fresh flash of a new rom...

I'm certainly no expert, but there have been great debates about whether wiping battery stats (batterystats.bin) does anything to help "reset" across reboots, low-level data about the kinds of operations the device and your apps are doing between battery changes.

From booting into CWM Recovery, scroll down to ADVANCED, and then to WIPE BATTERY STATS. Don't know if this does anything to noticeably or even significantly 'improve' battery life -but you can give it a shot...

I will give this a shot! thanks for your input! =) which ROM are you using?
It's best to wait to wipe when you are low on battery because your basically relearning the phones memory for battery charge state.
Wipe (not TOO low!), reboot, charge fully.
Also, is it the OS that is sucking the life?
What exactly is it?
PS: I'm using Romulus. Good and Stable for me!

Try resetting your wifi connection on your phone.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Only using 3G and already restarted...will try again..odd
I had this issue over the weekend. I tried several things from the internet.
1. Resetting my connection, airplane mode, etc.
2. Unmounting/remounting the internal SD card.
3. Clearing the Market Cache
The final thing that made it work was rebooting the phone. I don't know if any of those other things helped, but that was the final step.
Rebooting the phone should fix it.
Did it and nothing...I guess Im going to remove the battery too.
Not good...this happened after I had to boot twice as the phone got stuck during boot fir the first time ever and when I opened Market I had to accept the agreement but everything else was normal.
Op, are you completely stock?
And I'm assuming that by "nothing" you mean you have tried multiple apps
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Nope I am not stock per se :
SuperRooter + lagfix ext2.3 + OCed 1.2Ghz
This just happened this morning after that odd issue rebooting the phone where it got stuck on the galaxy S image then on next boot I had to accept some agreement for the Market place.
Still no solution for this..

It's not go launcher mate i see you have ics theme installed you need to fix your boot media properties or it will do that.. I have always had Go launcher x it works fine... But as soon as i put the ice cream sandwich theme on it drains my battery like mad..
The Dark LeStat has made a fix for it in the thrill forums go find the fix for the ics theme and it will fix your problem...
Is this a LG Firmware Based ROM?
If yes, download this and run it.
CPU HOG FIX
Is this a Script or update zip ?
I know that this theme drains battery, but i restored oryginal boot sounds. This fix is for that?

OOPS sorry i forgot lol my bad...
You are going to connect your phone to the pc with debugging mode on.. Then your going to go to your pc and extract the cpu hog file you downloaded, Once you have done that go inside the folder you extracted and double click the fix rom and cmd will come up press the number one on your keyboard making sure your phone is connected in debug mode. so click 1 and enter and let it do it's job. Then when it's done a message will come up saying finished just exit the program and restart ypur phone and your done..
So
1. Download the file
2. Extract the file to your desktop best place to extract..
3.Connect your phone (Make sure under applications development the usb debugging is ticked)
3. Inside the folder you extracted double click Fix-ROM
4.Press 1 hit enter (then let it do its thing)
5. When it is done disconnect your phone and restart.
Sorted..
Thanks its very easy, i just never do that kind of things, thou i used adb shell sometimes
Thanks, I'll see if this helps, but I'm afraid my drain is a little one and not connected to this CRAZY AS HELL 'ics theme drain'
But may it be connected to some tweaks in a ROM? Like some ram tweaks, or oom groupings, or famous 'hard to kill launcher' tweak ? Just a thought.
go launcher
honestly go launcher is a battery hog by itself its huge it was my favorite launcher till i found that out so i went to a lite wieght launcher now im on ics using apex but yeah go launcher is power HUNGRY but very customizable
I think i found it. Battery drainer was go task manager widget. Arter i uninstalled it, the battery drain is gone.
I tried using the MIUI ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538234 and switched back to XXKPQ (Was using XXKPQ before installing MIUI) now after a months time, I'm getting random restart and bootloops and factory resets. Anybody got any idea what's going on?
Update: I updated once more with XXKPQ using Odin but I'm having a bootloop. But if I CF-Root it, it works fine.
Umm.... it may be some thing wrong with the rom not the hardware, so, you may format the "system":
recovery mode => reset factory => yes => wipe catch => yes => storage and mounts => mount system => format system => yes.
you will have nothing even to boot, so, power off and go to download mode and flash the XXKPE (with pit) and then flash XXKPQ using ODIN.
*Note: you may backup all your data in the internal sd, you may got all of it formatted!
You should have a totally clean rom now with no remains of the old flashed roms.
At last, you may wait another one -more experience than me- to fix the problem before trying mine
For questions, either post it in the respective qna thread in the general section or create a new thread in the general section so that this would not pollute the development section.
Cheers

Here is some more details how the phone reset and restart itself ( I used a time lapse cam). The notification bar will display "SD Card removed unexpectedly" then shows, preparing USB storage and it restarts!
I remember once I used a memory Swap to SD script using CWM which actually swaps USB storage and SD Card. I don't know why the script still conflict with my phone even though I did a clean install with XXKPE (using Latona PIT) and later with XXKPQ. Earlier, under USB storage it was showing External SD contents and now its showing internal SD. I'm attaching an image after I removed my external SD

I wouldn't know if it's the switch external-internal sd card script because I've never used it... But you could try flashing your region's current firmware and bringing the phone in for repairs. Definitely sounds like a hardware issue. If they ask you if you modded anything, just say no. lol

Sorry for bumping this old thread. I got my Galaxy S repaired. I was completely under warranty and Samsung replaced my motherboard. And yes the restart is caused by a hardware issue and there is no other fix other than to remove/replace the internal SD card holder. I'm lucky that the new motherboard I got is having a whooping ~12GB internal SD (~2GB Earlier)
Once again, thanks for everybody who helped me out

i9003 have many sub-model.
We can identify MB by internal memory (4GB 8GB & 16GB) that's sold on different area.
latona PIT upload from 8GB or 16GB MB(I guess), mean it's not fit to your 4GB MB.

I have a Pantech Burst running 4.0.4 rooted. today the wifi cut off and is stuck on "turning on" but never does. I deleted cache from recovery menu, factory reset it, and flashed cwm on it (hoping a new flash would fix it) the only option I have left is flashing a whole new stock rom. is there any other way or something else that could be wrong? maybe wifi chip went out? got water damage last week but I took it apart and blew dry the innards before I used it. any help would be appreciated. If i have time I am going to flash the rom. IDK if I will still be here by time its done downloading though :b
I am trying to use a program called "p9070 download tool" which is supposed to flash it. ive never heard of it before. it flashes it from a .pdl file? well last time it froze so maybe it will work this time. computer is recognizing it. does anyone know of a rom I can flash with odin? thats the way im used to doing it, at least if this doesnt work.
in my opinion you should use pantech burst download tool..
odin is known for samsung phones and trying it on burst may brick your phone..so try to stay away from odin..
For some reason I cannot get it to work. It shows up "S/W upgrade" on my phone then the program freezes. Running win7 64bit. Also I tried turning on power saver and its doing the same type of thing the wifi is. A loading circle as if its turning on forever. Gives me hope that its not a fried wifi chip! Thanks for your reply.

well I got it to go with my stepdads usb cord. problem is it bricked my device after failing! my phone is stuck on "s/w upgrading" ive tried booting into recovery, taking the battery out waiting a half hour and putting it back in, putting in fastboot ( said it could not connect to device) nothing is working. i feel screwed now. anyone have any idea how to fix this dang thing!?!? even if it invo;ves taking it apart disconnecting something and putting it back together. if it makes it go away ill do it. thinking about just getting a new phone at this point! maybe a better one. it wasnt bad but ever since the wifi issue it has been getting worse.
-update- got it booted using that program. it has reverted back to 100% stock gingerbread and wifi still isnt working. I am going to assume that the wifi is burnt out or has a corroded connection. can anyone tell me where the wifi chip is on the motherboard? I wanna try to see if i can clean any possible corrosion out of it and try it again
ok! the only option left for you is to flash a rom again using livesuit. find a rom for your phone which can be flashed with livesuit and let it do it's work-done now you can work everything on it again.. the steps for liivesuit can be found by googling it - clean ics rom (droid extra .com) [by the way don't flash that rom only follow the procedures]. try it, if any problem- comment!!!!
I'm pretty sure there's no problem with the chip and it could be a problem with the phone software or the router/network.

Backup your data, whatever you can (cost lists, etc).
Backup what you need into the SD card. Root, install recovery, copy google apps from that same link into SD card and also the rom. Check their hash codes to make sure you have the right files. Boot into recovery, and make sure you can access the two ZIP files in the SD card. Now format /system , /data, format cache and dalvik and then flash the rom and then Google apps.
Reboot and setup your phone.
We have been using this rom for many months and they have fixed all of the bugs (a few minor remain but they dont effect normal usage a lot). Only the following remain:
- compass
- BT Tether (Workaround - DUN using app BlueDun)
The rest are some minor bugs that people have noticed but it runs much better stock in any case.
Just ask around on the forum if you have questions.

thank you for all of this. turns out the wifi wasnt working because of corrosion. I took the motherboard out and cleaned the whole thing off with an old toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol. let it dry, put it together and wala. I had it on 4.0.4 then when i ran download tool it reverted back. its back on ICS now. re rooted. only thing that is really weird to me is the device is only recognizing 1gb internal memory. it comes with 12gb, and my computer recognizes it as 12.3gb. but i went to install a game and it said "low memory" so i went to uninstall and it said total memory was only 1gb.
I guess you can do some more drying/cleaning.
Water is conductive and if there was water when the phone was turned on at any time, it probably destroyed some chips. Memory and chips can be damaged by static shock for example.
So a short probably damaged the stuff. Cant be fixed other than a new motherboard. You could get a cheap broken screen phone from ebay and switch the motherboards.

I rooted to S off, and have been using TWRP to flash; the previous ROM was NuSenseven's. I decided to switch to a Venom, which was a premature idea, since Verizon hasn't gone to Marshmallow yet. So I flashed a 4.6.1 ROM, and that started issues. (Going from Marshmallow ROM to a Lollipop ROM?) BTW, I have a trouble ticket on Venom's page also.
I did a factory reset, to see if I could get back, and this is what I am stuck on. I can browse the device on a PC, but I no longer have ADK access, since I am at work.
TWRP can't seem to find the previous backup, although I can see it. (The SD Card was formatted during the factory reset) I don't know enough to be useful, just enough to be dangerous. I would like to revert back to the NuSenseven, or anything to get past this white screen. My next try will be to access an ADK computer, so I can install the updated firmware, if I can't get TWRP to find the backup file.
Thanks for any and all help,
gmcpcs
I was able to recover, I did a factory reset in TWRP rather than using the wipe/ factory reset in bootloader. I have my phone back now.
Now if I can figure out this SD card issue.

Hey,
Yeah usually flashing a different OS version on top of each other is a no no. Especially going downwards is shooting a bullet through your phones OS.
Best practice: Wipe/factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik, wipe system, then flash the new ROM you want. (after you back up everything of course, and TWRP backup too if you're unsure)
In terms of SD card, you can try easeus mobisaver for android. Its a free program to attempt to recovery deleted files off an SD card. You may get some.. Results aren't guaranteed, but I've had some luck in the past. I believe the free version lets you recover one file at a time. Can try that and see where it gets you.
Here's a further update on the HTC One M8 and my specific issue. I suggest googling "Android Marshmallow and adoptable storage". In my process of flashing different ROMs, one time I formatted my external SD card as "internal storage". (More is better, right?) Unfortunately this creates issues for those who are rooted and flashing ROMs using TWRP. This may have created a "bootloop" issue? But this article's method to fix bootloop issues is what I ended up doing:
