Motorola Atrix II faulty Speaker - Motorola Atrix 2

Hi i just got a Motorola Atrix II..
and i played a song with high bass (juz to check the voice quality)
But the problem now is..the output is very much terrible...(like the speakers are torn from inside)
Is there any way to rectify it..?

Did you buy it new? If so, that's a hardware problem and no amount of software will correct a blown speaker.
Go warranty it. And good luck!

Not sure why this was posted in Themes in apps but moved to general.
Cheers

Have you installed any apps to 'boost bass' or volume? If so, delete them and try without them running. Also, which music player are you using, and have you checked the sound settings in your player?
You're not going to get "Bose Quality" sound from your external speaker, but it should be fairly decent (for a phone). But, it may be that it IS hardware related, in which case you need to try Moto service -unless you're within 30 days of purchase from a reputable retailer, in which case they should exchange your device.

[Q] **®Double Bass Optical HeadPhones!!!

If any investors out there,i have the perfect idea for some new headphones!!!Hot sound!!!!
these are good? i have been looking around for some to enhance the sound of this phone
I don't think I understand at all. Could you post a link if they exist or explain more about them? What makes them optical? And what would be the benefit of using optical cable in headphones? I am so very confused.
Lol.. great threads on xda this evening.

When you receive your headphones, could you please check if Song titles (stock music player) and Caller IDs (caller name) show up on the screen?
Will test them extensively... as far as i could see from a youtube video with a motorola phone, the callers number does show up...

Song title is working on stock music player and Play Music. But only caller number show up, no caller name.
caller name shows up sometimes on my mw600. I own it for about 2 years now. totally worth the money.

looking at reviews on amazon this is an old device with so many negative reviews. Be careful it don't seem to be worth
I have them, but does not connect with bt of S4, I tested with several cooked roms. With the Galaxy Nexus I worked perfectly.
I have ordered a similar one last year from ebay, works great i do not use it with my headphones tho, i use it in my aux cable in my car, so I have a bluetooth in my car for only $23
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bluedio-DF620-Bluetooth-3-0-Stereo-Headset-Caller-ID-Black-/130909660622
I've had this bluetooth headset a few years. The biggest drawback is that it only got Bluetooth profile 2.1, but all the A2DP functions and Caller ID and played music track is shown. I can be paired with 3 different devices and it has an RDS enabled FM radio. I have yet to find a newer small stereo bluetooth headset with radio at this price. I'am however thinking about getting a Sony SBH50 as it looks like a decent upgrade. It got Bluetooth 3.0 and also an FM radio function. The MW600 is probably not a bad choice, but why get 5 year old technology when you can get the newest at almost similar cost?
Wasn't aware of this one... looks pretty high end! I wonder if the message reading options are available for the s4... would have gotten this one if i had seen it before. In white to go along with my phone.

[Q] N5 Global Sound EQ

Hey Y'all.
A friend and I have severe hearing deficiencies. I have one hearing aid and my buddy has two. Not deaf, but close.
Unfortunately, we're also passionate about sound. But that's second. I'm really hoping this hasn't been covered somewhere I missed. I've searched and searched, but:
Primarily, I'm looking for a global sound EQ for android...but I need to be specific. 10 Bands is just enough to do change what I need to change. The main thing here is globally applicable settings and specific frequency adjusting.
Any pointers from me? I've played around in Android development, but not enough to implement my own graphical EQ.
Neutron is easily my favorite music player on android, but it's not global. All the equalizers I've seen on android so far have been like 5-band. Nice, but I need to be specific on the higher and lower registers for all audio output on the phone.
On this phone (N5) specifically, I'm completely stock and need to stay unrooted for a small while, but not so on my galaxy nexus.
Thanks guys.
I would want one too. Not for your reasons, but just for sound quality. I use viper4android now, but it only works in the music player app. I wish there was something that was global across all apps.
I also know only about viper audio and maybe another project has been covered on xda portal but I think that if you want eq on all apps you will need root at least.

Well root alone at least won't work as I've tried almost every thing. I want something to work across the board. I don't like sound of default video player. Perhaps it's bit flat.

Moto G as music player only

Hey guys, I have the iPod touch 5g (bought it last year) and after getting my note 3, ive come to become a bit annoyed at the iOS ecosystem. Its very nice for some but just isn't for me. Now I barely even touch the iPod, maybe once every two days just to see some notifications.
Can anyone tell me if they think the Moto G would be a good replacement to the Ipod touch? I intend to use it solely as a music player as media viewing is definitely much nicer on the note 3's bigger screen.
If I do end up getting the moto G as a music player, I would just sell my iPod to make up for the price. Pretty much just a swap.
Many thanks in advanced guys.

To give you a short answer. It is possible to do that. There are a few good music player and video player. However 8 GB or 16 GB is not large enough. You lose a lot of storage on the other PHONE programs. Moto G does not have the great sound as iPod or any other mp3 player has. If you are not searching for the perfect high quality sound Moto G can handle it. But if you want perfect high quality sound Moto G is not for you.
For my personal opinion. No don't do it. Moto G was designed to be a phone. And a mp3 player.

Newbie from iOS and iPhone here. I recently bought my first android - now use the Moto G at the gym and find it sounds as good as my iPhone.
And I uploaded my entire 25+gb of songs from iTune to google cloud via their music manager app and then connect via wifi to listen to any and all of my music library. Since it's up in the cloud, storage isn't a problem.

Yeah that exactly what I was planning to use it for. Because the Note 3 is a bit too big when at the gym and sometimes falls out of my pocket during my sets which kind of kills the vibe. So I was looking for a nice phone that I can use for music.

Thanks for the response. And yeah I didn't actually think of that. Hmm well I really don't really use my Ipod at all so decided to put it up on ebay last night. What phone do you think would be good for it then? I was kind of leaning towards buying an HTC One or a Moto X off ebay second hand. Some of them say that the phone has a bad ESN but I live in Australia. Do you think that would affect me?

Help regarding the audio quality.

I guys I'm planning to buy this device. I want to get this phone for the audio. Has any one listened to 320kbps mp3 vs flacc other lossless compression audio? Do they sound different on this device? Most of the smartphones play flac like regular mp3. Please help me here thank you. Also since the source codes are out I will try my best to build an AOSP Rom(if I get this device in the near future).
Htc has one of the best dac in the market. Better audio quality than almost all smartphones. Don't worry about it.
