Any questions, pls feel free to ask here
can you give some feedback about the performance and how much did you pay for it?

how would you do that in the registry? I got a P835 and the autorotation works for a limited applications only. I am also trying to make it work with apps that were build for HTC g-sensors.
Someone manage to port the HTC g-sensor wrapper to Omnia. I tried the wrapper (a few dll's) but does not work at all. I am hoping there will be developers that will look into this Asus wrapper.
Camera and related
There is no flash on the back, the speaker there seems mono and a weak one at that, camera has given me noisy pics so far, have to try it out in full day light yet, trackball is good, This is one thing that made me buy it over HTC Diamond II. I have not been able to find a good MP4 player for it yet.
On the positive side, I removed the default today addins and added PointUI. The black look of that interface goes well with the P835 design.
The phone is responsive with enough memory to spare. Though I feel let down by the lack of main storage as a lot of application add on to the Windows folder. Any help in that department is greatly appreciated (Extendir ? any body got a CAB installer for it that works on P835, I can test it if somebody can provide it for me).
Thanks HDUBLI, you have been a great contributor for the ASUS.
Guys what did you think about this pda? Plan to get one. But I heard from other forum that they said the touch scree will fail, means the stylus can't detachable on the screen.
I know it's a huge disappointment that HTC didn't put in a HDMI port, something that didn't bother me until recently.
I know for a fact that DLNA works great for streaming videos and photos taken on my phone to my TV, even on CM7.
I also just recently saw those youtube videos of guys using their Evo 4gs as their desktop, and wondered if there was a way for this to be accomplished on our phones. I was mainly thinking there was some way to work some magic over DLNA, and then bluetooth speakers, mouse and keyboard for the rest.
Anyone know if this is possible at all or even semi possible?
(I tried to search before posting but the search was down)
I'm also looking for an answer to this
I would like to see some idea on this too. I guess we're in the minority.
I agree as well, this is something I would be interested in. I remember when I bought my previous phone (nokia 5800 XM). I was quite excited about it's video out function, only to find it's composite analog video out to be wanting.
When I was trying to decide between inspire and the Atrix, a big deciding point for me was the untested nature of the dual core, and so far I like the results of my choice, the 2nd gen snapdragon has plenty of ooomph to play my highly compressed x264 mkvs and the battery is somewhat reasonable, however the screen mirroring is something I would really be interested in, surely with the gpu/cpu combo in place some kind of solution could be put into place, it doesn't take that much bandwidth to push a 2d desktop worth of images, especially with modern network speeds.
Here's hoping!
I am really hoping for a way to do this too. That new crackle app would be a lot nicer if I could watch it on my tv.

I was searching for it too, but no luck.... Hope someone gets hands on this
I'm also looking for a way to mirror the screen of my sony tablet S to the TV set - via dlna?
would be cool to hear from someone with dlna related developement experience.
They say it's not even possible to make a screenshot on android without root permissions. (no, please dont start a discussion about screenshots now, explaining how wrong I am
Dude, I think you've got the wrong section, this is the INSPIRE 4G SECTION.
hope someone posts a tutorial
no matter what section. the problem is the same on all dlna capable devices.

The Yinlips YDP-G18 is probably the cheapest Android device you can find with dedicated game controls. It would be cool if someone could cook up an updated English language ROM for it.

Hello,
This is a very promising console, we are currently testing and we must admit that this console is doing pretty well ... It's just a few thoughtful developers to take advantage of the machine maximum.
Go on google and write "CAANOO forumactif" to see the test!
The root is effective and the market is available.
Sorry for my poor english, i'm french
They already rooted it and installed android market on it. IMHO, it should get its own section. Having stripped down froyo or gb roms on it could further improve performance and battery life.
If I had the coin, I'd buy it right away. It's priced at $125 with free shipping. And it's the projection of my most beautiful dreams. Except for the two cameras it has.
It's actually a good product that can have enormous potential. Its biggest flaw is its current autonomy should be 3 hours with Wi-Fi enabled.
The screen is resistive, but responds well. It allows running N64 and PSX games fairly easily and without overclock.
I would love to also see a section for Android handheld and quickly see the arrival of Roms Customs and modified kernels.
For those who want to take the tests, the French member of the community are being Caanoo get them to see what she has in the stomach. I'm happy to keep you informed of the various tests that we will achieve.
I'm also getting one of these, looks promising with some tweaks or a new custom rom will be much better
Only 3 hr battery life? You'd think they'd be able to get more in there. But cool concept nonetheless.
Those who want to see the handheld running you can go see the videos that were made by @ BAFelton at: Sorry but i can't link URL, so Go on Youtube and search BAFelton61
It gives a good idea of what is possible.
Also, @ qbertaddict also examines the machine
Will get back to you almost certainly after the new year. Ordered it yesterday and they announced 15-20 business days until arrival
Yinlips has announced the update 2.3 (gingerbread) on the G18. This is good news to know that there is a follow-up from the manufacturer!
k0en, here too ?
Yeah i'm follow up this awesome device too, and still check what is possible to do with .... Christmas is coming...

Of course I'm All Around The Web
otherwise, it is the iReadyGo, not the G18 Yinlips. The prototype iReadyGo is not marketed. Here we talk about the G18. Is there any devs interested in working on improving it and make some changes?

There are others who have bought this. You can find their videos by searching for the Yinlips device on YouTube.

From what I can see in the videos, it's Chinese by default but can be changed to English. Since it's an Android device, in theory you would eventually be able to cook custom roms for this thing.
This is a steal, even though the touchscreen is resistive the specs are very good.
My interests are in the details, though: Does the analog stick work as a mouse in android? How is the screen quality with brightness and color? How easily can ROMs be customized?
If these things met with satisfaction I would buy today.

Hi i just got a Motorola Atrix II..
and i played a song with high bass (juz to check the voice quality)
But the problem now is..the output is very much terrible...(like the speakers are torn from inside)
Is there any way to rectify it..?
Did you buy it new? If so, that's a hardware problem and no amount of software will correct a blown speaker.
Go warranty it. And good luck!

Not sure why this was posted in Themes in apps but moved to general.
Cheers

Have you installed any apps to 'boost bass' or volume? If so, delete them and try without them running. Also, which music player are you using, and have you checked the sound settings in your player?
You're not going to get "Bose Quality" sound from your external speaker, but it should be fairly decent (for a phone). But, it may be that it IS hardware related, in which case you need to try Moto service -unless you're within 30 days of purchase from a reputable retailer, in which case they should exchange your device.

Hey Y'all.
A friend and I have severe hearing deficiencies. I have one hearing aid and my buddy has two. Not deaf, but close.
Unfortunately, we're also passionate about sound. But that's second. I'm really hoping this hasn't been covered somewhere I missed. I've searched and searched, but:
Primarily, I'm looking for a global sound EQ for android...but I need to be specific. 10 Bands is just enough to do change what I need to change. The main thing here is globally applicable settings and specific frequency adjusting.
Any pointers from me? I've played around in Android development, but not enough to implement my own graphical EQ.
Neutron is easily my favorite music player on android, but it's not global. All the equalizers I've seen on android so far have been like 5-band. Nice, but I need to be specific on the higher and lower registers for all audio output on the phone.
On this phone (N5) specifically, I'm completely stock and need to stay unrooted for a small while, but not so on my galaxy nexus.
Thanks guys.
I would want one too. Not for your reasons, but just for sound quality. I use viper4android now, but it only works in the music player app. I wish there was something that was global across all apps.
I also know only about viper audio and maybe another project has been covered on xda portal but I think that if you want eq on all apps you will need root at least.

Well root alone at least won't work as I've tried almost every thing. I want something to work across the board. I don't like sound of default video player. Perhaps it's bit flat.
