I have been searching everywhere for the old version of soundhound. I just updated to 5.0, and it is absolutly awful, a paid version shouldn't have ads and push music to bands I hate. I am really regretting my update, and now I am unable to find the apk version before 5.0. I have the purchased version, but was wondering if anyone could post the apk for this app. Take it for me, do not update!

I have purchased a few apps from the market. Like the free apps, my downloads will list available updates. After selecting to update, the apps go to 'Starting download...'
Of the 3 paid apps that have updates available, all of them have been sitting at 'Starting download...' all day today. All the free apps that had updates updated without any problems. I tried canceling and restarting the update, but still just hanging there.
Has anyone else had this problem? I have JF 1.43 RC33 with apps on sdcard

I experienced this too.
I think it's a google bug.
Email the app develpoer and tell him you can't download the updates for his app.
He may refund your money or send you the update since you already paid for the app.
Don't email the developers they don't have control over the market. Problems must got through T-Mo/Google
I just emailed developer and he sent me a copy of the new download, says there is a bug in the market right now.

Ok good I thought I was the only one or that they're watching apps that require root access to ID folks with root'd phones (I downloaded Advanced Taskman).
this only worked for me once, but i uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked for me. i think it was for photoslide, but all the others have not worked by doing this.

I had the previous Version of G.P. (free), before the last Update. I tried the last update of this App, but than i had the Decoding-Problem and can't see my pictures anymore.
With hope of a fixed version i deinstalled the last update. But now it looks like there will be no bugfix soon. also no answer of the developer.
Is there any one who still have the working G.P. (free) version and can send a copy? (com.reverie.gallery)

So far no issues, and seems to load faster. 'My apps' seems to load about the same time as last.

True, but if 3.4.5 rolls out and it's even better why wouldn't you allow it to update?

I am getting sick of Google Play, and I really liked the Android Market. So I tried to install the apk I wanted on my G2x, but I think the 'newer' version of it stinks, too. I like the REALLY old version best, the version on the G1 or Motorola CLIQ MB200, but all I can find (That works) is the new (First file) version. I want the second (File 2) kind of version, but when I use the apk I found, the market crashed about 5 seconds after launching it. I am using the latest stable ver. of CM7 on my G2x. Any help? Thanks!
I had a few questions about APK's and Beta Testing. I tried searching through google itself but i wasn't getting any luck, so I decided to bring it to the forum. Any ideas/thoughts/experience would be cool.
APK:
If I download an APK off the internet unofficially and not through the play store, will I still get an update when the official version is released? If not, what are some suggestions?
Beta Testing:
Very similar to my other question, after becoming a "beta tester" for certain apps, in this case nova launcher prime, will I still get an update when the official version comes out? Will I have to stop being a beta tester in order to download the stable most recent version?
The first question sounds a lot like a discussion on software pay.
The second would depend on the app developer, but normally you would have to uninstall the beta version.

Yep, only the google play store provides this functionality.
Now if your wrote an app to do this by checking version numbers and using a url that contains the apk and whenever it is updated would be sweet!
