I am getting sick of Google Play, and I really liked the Android Market. So I tried to install the apk I wanted on my G2x, but I think the 'newer' version of it stinks, too. I like the REALLY old version best, the version on the G1 or Motorola CLIQ MB200, but all I can find (That works) is the new (First file) version. I want the second (File 2) kind of version, but when I use the apk I found, the market crashed about 5 seconds after launching it. I am using the latest stable ver. of CM7 on my G2x. Any help? I´m using Prime 1.9 ROM.
The problem is, that my market version is still at 1.0.28 which is an old one. someone know how to get the updated version?

I think that's the current market for HC tablet.
I don´t think so because i can download facebook an there is no version available for tablets.

You're talking about side loading. You did not download Facebook directly from market did you?
You can certainly side load the newest market version but it's NOT optimized for tablet.
The latest up to date version for tablet is what you have.

Your original question was "How do i get a market Update?" which you will not because you are up to date.
okay i understand.
but i´m still wondering because i got on the original rom no chance to download facebook so i think there must be maybe a filter or something for tablets when loading the market site.
When I first got my TF, FB was pre-installed. Some times after that they removed it from market for HC tablet. So now when it get update, I just pull it from my phone and install it on the TF.
The most up-to-date market app caused a lot of my apps to force-close. If you sideload it, remember this, in case you start getting apps unable to run.
Anyone help me with this?
There is an app called Updater v 2.3 on my DS. Is that for the Android Market or is it for HTC to detect my software version?
I am asking because I am still on v1.28, was never offered update to 1.47, never mind the forthcoming update.
I half think it arrived with a small update that I did get months ago, that never led to 1.47. But I might be wrong.
If it is NOT for the android market, what happens if I uninstall it or clear the data?

I still have the market with the green top (2.3.4) yet the new market 3.x.x was released months ago.
There were several 3.0.x versions and now the most current release is 3.1.5.
I know that the new version can be installed manually frmo the apk file, but im just wondering why the update hasnt been pushed out to the phone like it has been with most other android handsets.
It seems that none of the HTC phones have had the new market pushed out over the air. As far as I am aware market updates get pushed out direct from google?
Anyone know why Desire S hasnt received it?

It hasn't been updated because HTC are VERY slow on the update side of things as we all know!
Also, the latest version of the market is infact 3.3.11
and it can be found HERE
Just download the apk and run it from your phone. This will update your market to the latest version

well either way whoever is responsible for it hasn't done their job properlly. If you want it just download it from my link and install it yourself
It came preinstalled with my sense 3 update. But I didn't like it. It loaded every page very very slow that I had to uninstall it to get the older one.
I flashed the 2.10.401.5 RUU (Android 2.3.5, sense 3.0) ROM and it didtn actualyl come with the new market. it still had the old green top one. However upon loading the market for the first time, seeing the green top one, then closing the market. It auto updated itself, changed tothe newer style icon on the homescreen, and now has 3.1.5. Strange why it auto updated on this rom, but never did on the 2.3.3 one.

seems to load faster
So far no issues, and seems to load faster. 'My apps' seems to load about the same time as last.

True, but if 3.4.5 rolls out and it's even better why wouldn't you allow it to update?

Thanks for this App. I use CM7 and cant access Market after I flashed GApps.
Everything's ok when i installed this Apps. The download speed is faster than Play Store which i updated from Original Stock ROM.
I have been searching everywhere for the old version of soundhound. I just updated to 5.0, and it is absolutly awful, a paid version shouldn't have ads and push music to bands I hate. I am really regretting my update, and now I am unable to find the apk version before 5.0. I have the purchased version, but was wondering if anyone could post the apk for this app. Take it for me, do not update!
