How do you know it's low? What if Samsung is truly stealing apples property? Doesn't matter how small it is if it's not theirs. I certainly hope this isn't the case but who knows? Samsung and apple are the only ones that know.

Here's a good idea, wonder if it would work. Why don't we all get together and get a patent to prevent innovation. Then we could sue apple, as all they are doing is stifling innovation cuz they are pissed that they are losing market share to the android nation. I could care less about anyone having to pay Microsoft, I've been more partial to them over crapple my whole life. Crapple seems to think that since they are losing market share they can extinguish the Android flame by going after the manufacturers. I am not a fan boy for either side.. In all honesty I like both mobile platforms. But I will be very upset if apple wins this trial.. Even though the galaxy S did look an awful lot like an iphone and the ui in the galaxy S looked like ios at first glance.. I just don't see how you can patent a rectangle or the only practical design . It's not right for apple to say that Samsung copied them when it's obvious that they both inspired each other.

1. samsung already had a phone that looks like galaxy s/iphone pre-trial called the F700, the judge deliberately denied it as evidence because it came too late(they submitted it before the trial, how is it too late? if this was a murder investigation, a innocent man will be sentenced to 25years in prison because the evidence that he didn't do it came in too late)

It got me sick knowing the grip that Apple got on the average comsumer that doesn't have the slightest idea what a ROM is. Lets face it...wer just about 3% of the smartphone users out there. Im yet to know someone out there personally that has installed a new custom ROM in their Android device. They think Im just a ****ing nerd genius from another galaxy when I try to explain what I did to mine and my wife's phone. Apple devices have always been well advertised...in commercials, tv shows, and movies...compared to any other smartphone company...way way WAY b4 smartphones for the general population became avialable to the average person. I doubt Samsung (or any other smartphone maker) will ever be able to catch up to Apple. To the average person iphone will always be the one and only smartphone out there because thx to advertisement they have been told that.

10% wouldn't make a huge deal to Samsung, the best thing they could do now is hit Apple where it hurts the most: cripple their iPhone 5 production without much prior notice by not selling them parts, and we'll see who the ***** is then. I wish one of Apple's supply companies would put them in their place so they can see how dependent they are on other companies even though they keep sueing them. Apple doesn't make anything on their own as far as hardware like Sammy or Moto do, so they wouldn't get very far if others started treating them the way Apple treats others, then they'd figure out how dependent they really are. Someone's knocking on the door, I better go it's probably the Apple police looking for people that don't blindly think they're great, lol.

I agree that the patent trolling and lawsuit wars helps no one in the end. And I'm sure the iPhone 5 won't get banned. But doing nothing seems like a bad strategy for HTC and Samsung. Seems to make sense to fight back. Otherwise it like just letting someone kick the crap out of you, and doing nothing.
If there was some way to get all parties to just stop with the lawsuits, and just concentrate on making awesome and competitive products, that would be wonderful. But I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.

It was banned for quite a while. I got really lucky that the best buy I went to had one. Although it was kinda fun cause I could rub it in my friends faces cause they couldn't get it yet. Made me feel special
Pretty sure apple also got the galaxy nexus taking off of the google website for a couple days as well.

The One X wasn't so much "banned" as "delayed" by US Customs (at the request of Apple) until it was verified that the phone conformed to the patent ruling on the feature to launch an app when an URL, phone number, etc. was tapped in an email or text.

i vaguely recall being able to click on a link/phone number/etc and having it do what i want on my OLD windows mobile phone that was released pre iphone. But hey, I guess if i could sue anyone if i bought them all ipads too.
