How cheap are we talking? If you have the opportunity to get it for $150 or less after selling the sensation, I would definitely go for it.

The sensation xe has a lot more power, but not the same screen size or resolution. I had the choice of buing ether the sensation xe or the nexus, and i chose the sensation.
So i guess it's a matter of what u want most. Slim design, a big high def screen (and of course native ice cream sandwich). Or a powerfull music phone (wich i prefer).
But if i got a offer of a very cheap nexus i would go for that, but only if it was VERY cheap

I am in the same situation here. I have the XE but I really like the Nexus's design and ICS. I love my music on the HTC but I have the opportunity to switch to nexus and keep the iBeats. The difference i'd be paying to switch to Nexus is 40Euros. Please reply asap, thank you
A month ago, I my HTC desire z spoiled and I went on to buy a lumia 710 for temporary use. I LOVED windows phones user interface but the lack of apps just makes me wanna move back to android. My desire z came back from repair and I was thinking of selling that and my lumia to get a sensation or atrix. Looking at the specs, the atrix and sensation should have about the same performance. Should i get the attrix since its alot cheaper? Or the sensation? Or use both my lumia and Desire Z?

yeah sensation but you not planning to wait and see the galaxy s3?
Get the Atrix 2 as opposed to the original.

Why the sensation? I have no $$ for the SGS3. They dont sell atrix 2 in singapore, unfortunately.
Get the desire s,good price for ICS version of android
Sent from my U8150 using XDA
The sensation XE version is also very good for the extra $$$ with big bass on the stock earphones, but again battery drains fast, and galaxy s2 is around same price...consider it also.

I think sensation is more popular eg More Roms I guess
I'm an audiophile, so no beats for me. I think I will get the sensation, if I can one thats within my budget. I might as well just stick with my DZ if I was thinking of getting the Desire S.
But am I gonna get the beautiful animations and fluidity of WP if I buy the sensation and cm on it?
With the sensation, definitely. Sense is awesome. Get it in white if you can

custom launcher?
SPB Shell is my favorite. Super slick and goes deep in your phone and changes everything.

Are there any apps in particular that you're missing on the Lumia or are you brainwashed into thinking that a jillion apps is what makes an OS? Your day-to-day interface with your phone is what will determine which route you take. To paraphrase Shakespeare, "to thine own self be true".
Sensation, better get a beast phone than 2 choppy ones and customization with Android is limitless

Anyone have any opinion which of these would be the best buy for under £150 UKP.
I need to be able to unlock to T-Mobile if possible...
HTC Cha Cha
Orange San Fran 1 or 2
HTC Wildfire or Wildfire S (none s is cheaper)
HTC Explorer
Galaxy Pro
Galaxy Ace
Thanks for any input !
Galaxy Ace
I agree the ace seems to be the best of the picks although personally i would say they are all solid phones. The ace is the flashiest and i guess better as a whole. I have this one on t-mobile works perfect.

Also the Xperia Ray, but it looks a bit small.
Ace for sure

Great minds think alike.
If I were you, I'd choose Ace, sell it on Ebay and buy SE Live with Walkman. It has ARM v7 Qualcomm MSM825 processor @ 1GHZ, which is very big advantage, and more ram than Ace (384 vs 512 MB), but its price is almost the same as Ace's
You can choose any phone from your list you can buy HTC Wildfire S as my recommendation. But dont buy Samsung Ace its screen resolution is low which you will not like, the colours and sharpness of the screen is also not great.
orange sanfrancisco
You can also have a look at the xperia U and the xperia neo v
Xperia Ray, you'll love it.

I bought a second hand HTC Wildfire just to see out my contract as my Nokia N97 was falling to bits and, quite frankly, a disappointment (I'd put up with it for a year.)
The Wildfire was my first HTC phone and my first Android phone and, despite being relatively underpowered and low resolution, it was a joy to use! It was that that made me opt for the HTC Sensation when my contract came up for renewal.
I'd have gone for a Wildfire again if the resolution had been higher. That's the only disappointing thing; I did think to myself "Well, I won't be using the Wildfire to watch films/look at photos" without actually taking a step back and thinking that the resolution also affects your screen real estate too.

True. This phone works great and is super easy to root. Or the Huawei Honor (Mercury on carriers) is excellent.

Galaxy Ace is best in there.
San Fran 2 is the best hardware IMO. Brilliant screen. Good price.

The Orange Monte Carlo is within your budget now I think. It has a big screen too It's like the big brother of the San Fran.
(It's aka the ZTE Skate btw)
I was going to get it but Orange were out of stock last August, so I go a DHD for £260 instead

Do you guys think that HTC will release a new phone later this year to compete with the iPhone 5 since their "flagships" weren't really worth that title?
Sent From My OrDroided Sensation 4G
Maybe they'll do a sort of bump to the One X like they did the XE to the Sensation but they said they'd release less phones so that remains to be seen. Perhaps they'll see how well their sales are and then decide?
That said I do feel the One X is a worthy flagship for HTC but that's just my opinion.
Well I talked to a HTC rep at the beginning of the year concerning the possibility of super amoled in the sensation and afterwards ha asked if there was any advice I had for HTC ( along those lines) and I said not not release as any phones as their flagship devices get extremely quickly outdated. He said that HTC were only going to release the one series but somehow I doubt that is true.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
The one x is a good phone but what killed it out here is that it has no removable battery and I have T-Mobile USA so they don't even offer the one x...only the one s which really isn't an upgrade.
Sent From My OrDroided Sensation 4G
But they are planning to release a one x aren't they?
Don't blame me here or anything but I've heard from rum ours they might release a quad-core snapdragon s4....
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using XDA
I haven't heard anything about that. Only rumors I hear about T-Mobile is the note and gs3 being released....no HTC products

ace 2 vs sensation xe
Hello;
I want to buy my first smartphone, but I am torn between samsung ace 2 and htc sensation xe. The sensation xe is 50$ more from ace 2, but that is not a problem( that is the top of my budget), as sensation xe has 4.3" screen vs 3.8" for ace 2, sensation xe is faster and better looking.
My main problems with sensation xe are dust under screen and death grip. I mean I don't want to bring a brand new phone, and before using it,
I have to put silicon around the edges of the screen to seal it, then I might put aluminum foil on the back antennas to stop death grip.
What is your advice to me, keeping in mind that whichever phone I get, I am going to keep it for like 5 years.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Regards.

I would highly sugest the Htc Senstion XE over Samsung G Ace 2 because of following reasons -
1)Processor - 1.5 Ghz Dual Core on htc xe while ace 2 is stuck at 800 mhz dual core.
2)Camera - On Ace 2 is not worth mentioning and it sucks while here also Htc S Xe does a great job
3)Design - Xe look significantly better than ace 2.
4)Screen - Screen is larger and of better quality.
Even after the cons you mentioned Htc Sensation XE is my choice.
