easiest fix is to just call your voicemail

my sound stops working after i record a video and i cant playback the video....try taking a video and see if u have a problem playing it back
No problems with video for me
Wtf. The honeymoon looks like it could be about to end on this should-be-amazing handset.
Voice mail should be automatically cleared like every other phone out there ... Just like your text message once you view it that's all ... All these little problem are a little annoying ... I'll continue to play with it... Don't get me wrong I love this phone ... Again just a little annoyed. And thanks for the tip.

[Q] Talking Tom making phone sound disappear!

Hi Guys,
I have been noticing this pattern so thought I shoudl ask here.
I have the Talking Tom (paid version installed). While it worked fine on my DHD, on the sensation, I open the app and try to play with it, after a few seconds the sound disappear.
Even closing the app and pressing the volume rocker it shows media volume and not the phone volume. And the phone is kind of muted, no ring sound, no notification sound.. funny as it doesnt even give an error message.. the sound just disappears!!
The only solution is to soft reset.. again launching talking tom gives the same problem..
Any one can test it for me?
Many thanks!
Had the same problem as you...but I was using this app Vlingo ...however I just had a system update today and so far the sound is fine after I used the same app...fingers crossed

System update as in the ROM update?
Well I have uninstalled Talking Tom from the phone for now.. lets see..
I had the same problem with the talking rex app, thought I was going crazy. Did a soft reset and then later my phone just randomly restarted while entering text on the Internet, debating doing a factory reset. Lots of quirks with this phone, hopefully we get an ota soon.

Unlock Ring issue?

Just got my One S today and having issues already. The unlock ring does not want to unlock the phone. along with random reboots and the music player crashed and keeps popping up the message if i want to send the report to HTC after i hit send a few times. Anyone else having these issues? Did 3 hard reset already and unfortunately i have to return it online because the tmobile store wont accept a return if i didnt get it form the store.
Sorry to hear you're having issues. Hopefully the exchange gets you a better model. I've had no issues at all since I got this phone about a week ago. No product is perfect. At least it's not a g2x (shudder )

Just called Tmo, they are sending me a replacement. Probably going to have the same problems lol
I doubt you'll continue seeing the issue of sounds isolated...

Or a "MyTouch 4G"
As for the unlock ring, have you tried to do a factory rest from recovery?

Are you plugged in to AC/DC/USB while experiencing the unlock issue ?

How do you get rid of that ring for an unlocker? I have bee using Go locker, cleared the defaults etc and every now and again the ring locker pops back up meaning I have to unlock twice before I get to my phone, I then go through the same procedure all over again.
Try another unlock app..failing that non sense roms don't use the ring anyway.might be worth seeing if u can do without sense.

Might be a defective unit or calibration issue.

No text message notificationknotification?

Sometimes when I get a new text I don't get any notification at all. Does anyone else have this happen?

Press menu inside your sms app. Make sure is turn on.

Same here. I'll get notifications fine all day, then I'll get three texts from one person without a single notification. It doesn't matter if the Messaging app is loaded or not or has focus or not.
It is on, its just with a few messages here and there

I have this same issue.
Its an issue that hopefully will get fixed with an update. It has happened to me a bunch of times.
ditto that, hopefully with the next software update will fix it. But, at the same time some people having issue with the update (1.85) that should rolling out today by ATT experience dropping calls and less reception. Personally i prefer late notification than drop calls. Dont you think?
Agreed

Weird Dialer Bug :( Help?!?!

I have this weird problem that when ever I make a call it goes to a black screen than takes me to my home screen but still makes the call ? And I can't hang up or anything! I can't access the hang up button! I open the dialer and nothing! And when I get a call the phone rings but doesn't give me the option to answer the call or anything help please I'm on droidkang V9

I'd try the thread for that rom. The dailer may have issues wait for an update or try to reflash? Remember to check md5 sums. Here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525627
I did no one answered :/ and I read through it and no one seemed to gave this problem

Came here to report that I have the exact same problem.
The only way to "fix" it was a phone reboot. So far, this has happened to me twice within 2 days.
I'm on Stock 4.4.2 and rooted via cfautoroot.
I faced this issue twice in three weeks. I am on stock and have not rooted the device ever so far. I get a call (rings) however I am not presented with the black screen from which I can attend the call. I won't even know who the caller is until the ring stops and check in missed call. Only rebooting fixes the issue.
