[WILL IT HAPPEN] Sweep2Wake in Sense ROMS? - HTC Desire S

Is it possible? I am a big fan of this feature in the CM9/AOKP ROMS and would love for this to be implemented into some of the new sense 4 roms we've been seeing lately!
what are your thoughts guys?

Yes but we need the kernel source for 3.0. No point working on the old kernel now.

I would like to know that also. Sense is awesome and is the reason I chose the Sensation of the Nexus Prime

Would need someone to port a desire z/g2 ROM with rosie that supports landscape.

Is There a Stable Sense Based ROM?

So I'm doing some research on my next phone (currently rocking a Droid Incredible 1) and it will either be the HTC Vigor or the Nexus Prime. I'm leaning towards the Nexus Prime, but I love Sense, so I just want to make sure that there are people out there who create Sense based ROMs for the Nexus devices.
So are there any stable Sense based ROMs for the Nexus S?
No sense no thanks. You buy a nexus for the AOSP experience. If you want sense buy a htc phone.

Sense based rom ran into some hurdles, plus it's harder cuz unlike the nexus 1 it doesn't share the same hardware as an HTC phone...
For the Prime, we'd have to wait for a similar phone running ics, gingerbread might not run too well on it...

Ahh this makes the decision so much more difficult. I was pretty much set on getting the Prime because I figured it'd be an easy swap to put a custom sense ROM on it.
I really want to have the latest and greatest (ICS), but I also love my sense features (lockscreen, beautiful widgets, beautiful animations, etc)
what to do, what to do....
Yeah Rem3Dy said it all, but to throw my 2 cents in.
If you want a phone running Sense you should stick to HTC phones that come pre loaded with it. Ports can be cool, but it's hard to rely on them everyday as a daily driver they all tend to have their issues. From what I was hearing before leaving the EVO 4G forums, HTC should be developing a web app for consumers to unlock boot loaders in the future, so you shouldn't have to wait for exploits to enjoy root privileges on future phones.
Now if you want a pure Google Experience device then you should look into the Nexus line of phones. This is the way Google envisions Android and in my opinion, it's the best way to enjoy it. The Nexus line always has the latest and greatest with software updates direct from Google. This means when new versions are released we don't have to wait for manufacturers to upgrade their UI to to work with the current version of Android, no wondering when or if our device will ever even get the upgrade.
So if Sense is a deal breaker for you, you should probably stick with HTC. If you're intrigues by the Nexus Prime, wait till it hits stores and go check one out, I doubt you'll be let down.

When ics comes out you are going to lose alot of sense features. Look at honeycomb for example

Sense sucks balls, big time. It was the reason I rooted and flashed aosp on my Evo. Most htc owners try to get away from sense, and you want to install it on a Nexus??
However we like SEnse or not (I don't personaly, and sure thing is if you have a Nexus "something" is for experiencing the pure Android), it has been said several times by several great devs that it won't be possible to port any Sense like launcher on the NS.....
You can always install Launcher Pro Plus which has very similar widgets to HTC Sense. ADW is another popular launcher as well.
It's not just the widgets, but the sense 3.0 lock screen is one of my favorites!

There's a lock screen app called Agile Lock, which looks exactly like the HTC lock screen with the exact same functions as well.
You can pretty much find all things HTC in the market!

Even the current beta don't have them anymore, you use the hardware buttons like on gingerbread (with some additional features).
Ics rocks, there are for sure some bugs and features left that should be added/fixed, but the beta is already my daily.
I think there's nothing else to say

Yup am waiting for the camera to be working for the betas
as soon as it's done i'm gonna download and flash!
all the best to the devs
i know it's an early build still, but i seem to like it less every time i install it. Maybe a stable build will change my mind, who knows...
I like it. Would be my daily except I rely on wifi hotspot and USB tethering. When both work I can use as daily driver

Hyperion works great!
Would like ICS with Sense
I happen to really like the Sense interface. Having tried SuperKid's ICS beta4, I can say there are a lot of things that I like, but I would rather have a Sense ROM based on ICS.
Back to the GREAT Endymion v3.0 for now...

me too I was using ICS Beta for 2 days, and I noticed headphone didn't work in beta4r1 when I played music while I was waiting for the bus at station. but Play/next/previous buttons on the headphone works perfectly except for the sound playing from phone set.
Then I installed Endymion V3.0 in the bus But I really like the UserInterface of ICS , many features are still not working.. But I'll switch to ICS again when Headphone /mic is fixed..
That's nice ,realy ,i love ICS interface . Have problem but is best rom for ever . Thanks superkid .

What do you want AOSP, CM9 or Sense 3.6 or 4?
CM9 and AOSP you should go to modaco.com and search for TripNRaveR's Roms.
If you want Sense you should try InsertCoin here on XDA.

I just got mine about three days ago.
Coming from a Galaxy, EVERYTHING about HTC sense makes me sick to my stomach.
Went with the one with most views I saw - AndroidRevolutionHD, and went through the INSANE process of going from stock to ICS.
Now running 1.7GHz, replaced HTC sense with the AOSP themes.
Only bugs I see so far are htc.bg crashing, messaging app getting rather wonky with multiple texts, and the music controls sticking on the lockscreen after Google Music closes. Also no MMS at home for me. No signal, Wifi calling only, but the AOSP app doesnt support that. Boohoo.
So that's my reccomendation.

Flash an AOSP or CM9 Rom if you dont like Sense.

No video camera or bluetooth is a pretty good reason. And honestly, the Sense to AOSP roms aren't noticably slower than straight up AOSP.

Ah o.k. And no MMS, no Signal and only WiFi calling is so much better?
Didn't try this Rom but if it realy have this bugs its not useable i think.
For most people its more important to make calls than use BT or make videos.
But o.k everybody has their own needs.
Did you ever try One of Trips roms?
Dont think so because than you would not say that there is not much difference in speed between Sense with AOSP theme / launcher and pure AOSP.

Thats no AOSP rom. Its a Sense Rom with most Sense parts removed and some AOSP apps included.
But its still a HTC Sense Rom.

Well the only "sense" rom I played with was stock on 2.3 - and in five minutes I knew I hated it.
And actually bluetooth is a must for me. I don't make calls at all, but I use a keyboard and use my phone for writing documents and taking notes.
I'll give Prime a try if these bugs get any more severe. Getting really tired of constantly wiping.

Biger screen to work with and a Keyboard Dock with Touchpad (Asus Transformer).

New to the s3. State of the roms?

So I just changed to this phone from my droid incredible 2. On the droid incredible 2 there were known issues for all aosp roms and and all ics roms like Bluetooth problems. I was wondering what issues the s3 has, and if jellybean is stable.
Thanks
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
AOSP jellybean is like 99.9% stable, there are a few hiccup issues with bluetooth, but nothing terrible And some report signal issues, but not everybody is having that issue. Jellybean Touchwiz is basically 100% stable, so really you can't go wrong either way
Thanks for the reply ! I appreciate it
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Congratulations on you new Samsung GS3PO. I actually came from a HTC Tbolt (an Eris before that). I dealt with some of the same issues. Man I would like to recommend that you go with either Synergy or Cleanrom. I've tried both and I have no issues with either so stability is a non issue for me. No disrespect to AOSP but I realized way back when I had that beloved 'bolt that I spent way too much time trying to make AOSP look like Sense. Touchwiz is really clean, fast and simple. Plus the stuff that I didn't like about TW has been removed from those ROMs. Clean ROM is fast (too fast at times) with the green. Synergy is silky smooth eye candy with the ICS/JB blue. Pick your pleasure and take care.

The only reason the Droid Incredible 2 had those problems was because lack of source and we only had gingerbread source and kernels.
Yea I know that. I just didn't know what the situation with the s3 is as jb isn't realeased officially yet
