As long as the USB connector on the phone end of the cable is the same, it will work fine.

I have not tried to find out how mine is wired yet as i dont have a connector with enough pins to make a breakout board and see whats going on, but my viewpad7 has such a connector with extra pins, i think it was the htc wildfire which did, and my canon sx30 camera has one too...

hello,
I seek a kind of electric charger shema typical of android.
In fact I have broken the tip of my x10 mini pro. Where it is loaded with a USB cable.
Except that I bricked and I need to connected to the computer so I'll try to cobble together a new embouten waiting.
SE refuses to repair made me!
I dissected a usb cable to charge an android and he only had two son, one positive and one negative charge therefore I think. And I took off my x10, 5 outings ago, so how to connect them? you see what I mean?
I just need a shema that I say or connects the five outings on the usb cable
thank you

Hi All, I was about to buy a Raspberry Pi type device so that i can install some juke box software, stick it behind my touchscreen monitor and mount it on a wall. Anyway i got to thinking about using a smartphone. I have read about installing XP etc onto a HTC 3d and i guess thats an option but id like to get your opinions
The goal is to have the touchscreen (19", which i already have, DVI and USB for touch) mounted on the wall with the 'PC' stuck on the back so no cables etc are required. I was planning to use a powerline adaptor to get ethernet to the thing. All easily possible with an actual PC, but what about using a smartphone?
Andy.

I need to connect my pen drive to Motorola Atrix 2. I have tried getting the OTG cable , but it does not detect it, I assume that the 5 Volt requirement is not met as the USB never lights up as it always should.
I would like to know whether it is possible to achieve the same with a Micro USB hub ( http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/613308120/3_port_usb_hub_for_micro_USB.jpg )
The connection is like USB male port connected to the charger/laptop and micro usb to the phone while Pen Drives to the female port.
Has anyone done this before? If it is not possible is there any other way?
There is already a thread for this, right here in the Q&A section. I found it within seconds of reading this. If I can find it, you can too. Please search and read before posting questions that have already been answered. Also read the forum rules found here:
