USB host Android tablets?

Is the thrive the only choice available to get a android based tablet that can usb host out of the box? I am interested in the thrive...because of the host capability and because you can replace the battery. Ergo... you dont have to end of life it and turn it into a high class alarm clock when the battery wont hold a charge anymore. I also like the full sized hdmi. I mainly want it to take on road trips. I have my 400Gb of movies on a hard drive and want to be able to access them and watch them on tv in a hotel room.
My flyer makes a great gps but I have to bring a computer to change the movies in it
IMHO, Thrive has best USB support, but Asus Transformer Keyboard dock, Archos 101 G9, and Acer a500 also have pretty functional USB ports.
My a500 has some pretty good support. But the tablet itself is kinda too heavy.

[Q] Juke Box Development Ideas

Hi All, I was about to buy a Raspberry Pi type device so that i can install some juke box software, stick it behind my touchscreen monitor and mount it on a wall. Anyway i got to thinking about using a smartphone. I have read about installing XP etc onto a HTC 3d and i guess thats an option but id like to get your opinions
The goal is to have the touchscreen (19", which i already have, DVI and USB for touch) mounted on the wall with the 'PC' stuck on the back so no cables etc are required. I was planning to use a powerline adaptor to get ethernet to the thing. All easily possible with an actual PC, but what about using a smartphone?
Andy.

[Q] How to connect a PenDrive to motorola atrix 2 [MB865]

I need to connect my pen drive to Motorola Atrix 2. I have tried getting the OTG cable , but it does not detect it, I assume that the 5 Volt requirement is not met as the USB never lights up as it always should.
I would like to know whether it is possible to achieve the same with a Micro USB hub ( http://i00.i.aliimg.com/photo/v0/613308120/3_port_usb_hub_for_micro_USB.jpg )
The connection is like USB male port connected to the charger/laptop and micro usb to the phone while Pen Drives to the female port.
Has anyone done this before? If it is not possible is there any other way?
There is already a thread for this, right here in the Q&A section. I found it within seconds of reading this. If I can find it, you can too. Please search and read before posting questions that have already been answered. Also read the forum rules found here:

[Completed] [Q] Is anything wrong with this micro-usb cable?(PICS Inside)

So I recently purchased a new micro-usb cable but it doesn't seem to work..PC doesn't register phone nor do other conventional usb charges charge when using the cable(other cables work fine)...since am in no position to return it, i opened inside to see if it was something i could fix..here are the insides...
as you can see, the wires are exactly all lined up end to end...not sure if this is the way i.e when stretched out, the 1st terminal is connected to the first on the other end, second to 2nd , third to 3rd and finally 4th to 4th..
if anyone has a working micro-usb lying around, would they be kind enough to show me how the terminals look on both end??
Hi there,
I'm sure you wiil receive a better response from experts if you ask in this thread:

[CLOSED] Question regarding Samsung T7 SSD use with N20 Ultra 5g

Originally posted in wrong place, moved here.
I recently purchased a Samsung T7 SSD specifically to use as extra storage for my Note 20 Ultra. Upon unboxing, I noticed that when connecting drive to phone with supplied USB-C to USB-C cable, the drive will not power on (no lights on drive). My phone will not recognize anything is connected at all. I then connected the drive to to my computer and it instantly powers on, I quickly unplugged it and connected it to my phone and the drive lit up and connected as it should. After unplugging and waiting 10 seconds or so, and reconnecting, nothing happens, no lights, nothing. I can even connect it to the usb-c input on the media center of my vehicle to power it on and then quickly plug it up to my phone and it will work fine.
I did do a restart of my phone with the drive plugged in and upon phone reboot the device was powered up, but it still will not get any power from port upon cold connection.
Any help or tips are greatly appreciated.
