Probably not possible yet, if apps are designed to route to /sdcard, because that's your internal storage.
thats a matter of your phone has x mounted as x, you are looking to have it swapped, that requires a custom kernel
thanks for ur reply and suppot, just want to knw there is hope and it is possible
Glad to see this forum here. I am currently a Defy owner, but I am hoping to upgrade soon. Waiting to find out if I can upgrade early or if I will need to wait until I am truly eligible. Since it's a corporate account I might be a proud Blaze owner soon!
Whoo Hoo!!!
Mine is arriving tomorrow. Cannot wait. Hopefully I can learn to live without a physical keyboard...
Awesome Hopefully they can make good use to this phone... It's powerful and it's Not on the radar for people since the gs2 is advertise alot
This phone will be much more attractive now that it is gaining support at XDA. Some people had already mentioned they were going to return it since there was were no Dev's on XDA for it, but that has changed
I'm hoping a lot of what has been done with the SGS2 will carry over. I know some of it has already carried over the other way - they took the Blaze's radio firmware and put it on the SGS2 if IIRC.
Yay lol. Going through thee old threads

Just wanted to take the time to thank the community here for all the awesome work to help keep this device alive.. specifically design gears for helping me with cwm and dan Rosenberg for root and all the devs who keep the forums alive with great new stuff!
But its come time for me to pack the o3d away in a drawer cause I just ordered my new iPhone 4s....
Jk. I did order a brand new GSM Galaxy Nexus...
Mainly I want to let people know that i dont have the time to maintain my rom or theme threads... so if anyone wants to take over any of those projects.. no need to ask.. consider them yours!!!
Thanks again everyone.. best of luck for all of ya! Maybe I will see ya in some other threads. =)
see ya around trek and thanks for all your hard work

Ok, Some people new to the XDA forums hate being called n00bs. But if your post count is less then 100 posts... You're a n00b.
It's ok. We love you
But riddle me this... Why do you want to root your phone or install a custom rom? Most roms posted to the developer section are unstable and not ready enough for normal phone users to use. Most roms in there are for advanced users. And I really don't think everyone in the sgs4g forum are advanced. (I know who you are if you're advanced, or I might not if you don't post at all...). You could brick your phone, you could make your phone un-returnable. You WILL void your warranty.
A lot of n00bs have problems installing roms or rooting their phones, but why do it in the first place?
Are you doing it to install a root required application?
Are you doing it to update your rom to a newer version?
Not getting the support you expected from t-mo/samsung? Do you really think we are going to continue to support you for the next 5+ years? (cause I know I wont )
Vote and post here. I really want to understand not just what you want, but why!?
For fun muahahah...(I can still be counted as a n00b, rite? )
Heh, jk, me, just because I love all WIP of team acid, kickass/fah-q and unknown hehe...and I am trying to brick my phone to see just how strong it is lol muahahaha...(and only have root and CMW or TWRP that I can brick it hehe)
P/s: love all of u devs

Oh yea You know I love releasing WIP and watching n00bs squirm in their mom's computer chair...
There are two ways to brick the phone...
create a blank file that is any size smaller then 256k... heimdall it to the sbl partition. BAM! YOU ARE HARD BRICKED
raise your phone way up over your head, and throw your phone on the ground as hard as you can (TOUCH DOWN!!!)
Otherwise, you can still get into download mode, and you are just soft-bricked. This phone is amazing that way
Soo if this is my first post what that mqkes me ?!!
Anyway ...
I rooted my phone so i can use an app (yes one app is enough reason for me )
And befor anyone asks ... I just bought the XDA app to support this group of helpfull and nice people .
And i will NEVER use a rom till atleast i buy a new phone and turn this one into experiment field xD

Sounds promising... what was the App you needed root for?
BTW, welcome to voided warranty land
(btw, please remember to vote on the poll at the top!)
Surely less than 100 posts makes you a noob...silly noobs!
But on the other hand I think having more than 1000 posts only proves how lonely you must be...maybe you need a girlfriend?

P.S: ofc i did installation of some of the must be rooted but they weren't my motivation .

P/s: Crappyyyyyy Support...yay \m/...I miss the [email protected]!ng boy said to my face about garbage WIPs of all of our devs now =]]
I personally screwed up my very first T-Mobile G1. The first time I flashed a from I was able to get the HTC Hero Rom... Somewhere along the line I became unsatisfied (the same night) and tried to force sd-ext, which was said to be possible using adb... Lack of sleep turned my phone into a paper weight. Anyway, one of my biggest fascinations was being able to get around carrier and manufacturer rules: expanding limited storage, removing apps considered system by force... But once you pop, you just can't stop... Now I'm happy to have a nearly complete OS people from T-Mobile say the phone can't handle. For now having the smoothest and most responsive phone I could have on the latest OS does it for me. I don't want jelly bean. I'm happy to have what I got.
I also built my first computer when I was 13 and I haven't yet stopped being fascinated by technology.
Oh and as for warranty voided, a bricked phone is the same as one dropped in the pool, ran over by your truck and eaten by your dog... Easily replaced if you say it is stolen. I think my deductible is like $140, not terribly bad for the clear cut instructions.

Hey Mr Bryan (yeah Mr Bryan and I'm Mr Carlos lol) will you call a noob for somebody who open 1000 threads just for only one question, somebody who ask and persist for an ETA and for somebody who gives bad opinions of a rom without even testing?
Edit ohh btw will you call a noob for somebody who doesn't read the instruction and rules and start crying because he/she screw his/her phone ?

Well whether or not you want to call me a n00b is up to you. But as for the question...
I needed root to run FB's unlocker, so I could unlock the phone from T-Mo and move it to my current provider. Requires root, and custom ROMs are always nice to have, as well as the improved performance, battery life, overall change in aesthetics, and the ability to use ICS on the SGS4G, with all the yummy features that it includes, unlocking the full potential of the device, and overall as a hobby.
So what should I check as my answer for the poll if I'm a noob?
Im a noob
This is my first post on this forum but ive been rooting phones an installing custom roms since i was 10

LMAO.
I love it when people get butt hurt for being called a noob. Noobs!
First off this Blaze is not mine....I have way better phones I'm just broke and have no wifi...don't even get me started on the tethering...anyway when I rooted my Vibrant some years back I thought I needed root to unlock it...then when I rooted it I started learning about [email protected]&! and completely forgot about unlocking it...performance. Im still learning...soft brick on Odin cause I'm impatient and stuff. Most people I see using phones barely know how to turn them on and don't use them for much more than facebook...giving them a flashed overclocked joint is like given a gun to 2 year old..sorry for the rant..long story short I root cause if I want ICS or JB on my $&[email protected] I'm gonna get it and if it ain't 1.4 GHz minimum I don't want it. Stay motivated

No butt hurting here... I don't mind being called one. Its a learning process. We were all once one unless you created the first android. :sly:

I think for the most part it was because I knew the phone would not get further support from t-mo or Samsung. And no I don't expect 5+ yrs of support. I'll be happy with what I get till I can upgrade phones.
And, yes I am a senior member but I thought I'd chime in anyway since my senior member status is still fairly new.

You can call me an escalated noob. I'm going to get help from team unknown which I am part of now and my Java mentor who taught me Java flawlessly. I'm going to be developing a heavily themed ics rom. But don't worry tuk I'm not going to bother you by asking every question I have, I shall self teach myself about android with the help of my mentor. So you can call me a developing noob.
powser
My profile says I've been a member since 2007 with 130 posts. I'm pretty sure I've been a member longer than that. Anyway..... Custom roms is my reason. Back in my WinMo days, I created a few roms.

I'm leaving this forum, and moving on to the Samsung Galaxy S3 forum.
I just want to say thank you to all the developers, for all the work you put in your roms. And you do all this for free, on your spare time. You give us support, help and tips. Keep hacking and coding guys!
You have really made my android experience so much better.
I wont mention any names, just send a big thank you to all of you.
septix out.
Good to hear, my girlfriend is getting a S3 soon because the battery in her galaxy s 4g battery is crapping out. She said I can use the phone if I buy her a new battery for her s 4g as she still prefers that phone.
Only bad thing is I can use it as long as I don't root it lol

Well, Infuse community... it's been great helping others and being a part of this community. I recently had the chance to trade my loyal infuse for a Motorola Atrix HD, it's time to say the first real community I've been a part of.
Firstly, thank you to Scott, Andros, qkstr, and gtg. You and many others have made this a fantastic phone and an even better community.
Second, thank you to everyone that needed help in the q&a, as it gave me a chance to help people.
Lastly, thank you to everyone else that has made this phone one of the beat smart phones I've ever owned.

Had to smile when I read this. I just recently switched to an Infuse after two-plus years with an iPhone 3GS. I've upgraded the Infuse in several steps from stock to JB (Butter) with no problems whatsoever. I picked the Infuse in part because of the active community here on XDA, and my previous experience upgrading a Viewsonic G-Tablet with the help of the XDA community there. I am so glad to finally get Apple out of my life, especially the hated iTunes. As longtime Infuse users move on, at least one new user discovers it as something new and better than the phone they had before. Cheers.
I still have my infuse and several roms from the good friends in the XDA Infuse department. I have the SGS3 but kinda miss my ole buddy. Guess I can use it to mess around on. Thx to ask the Devs and community
