Yep! D: sure is. If more than one thing is broken you may as well RMA or get a new one.

I got error while trying to flash stock back to the tablet and now the thing is pretty much dead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973598
Do you think if I RMA the tablet they can still see that it is rooted?

wooow thank you for this!in last months i used tf very rarely, because i have 2 prob:
display broken,but very usable yet
battery not charge.or i should leave it always docked or always on ac charger (and i blame asus with all my voice for putting 15v in out on the charger)
3,but not a problem,ac charger broken.with battery died it's a plus have it working

I used this video to dismantle mine

Dust covers for the bottom of the device

I tried to search through the forums but I was unsuccessful. I'm really not sure what it is I am looking for. On my old TF201 (Exchanged at BestBuy) I had these little dust covers that fit into the bottom of my Prime to keep dust and other materials out of the bottom of the device. Upon opening my Infinity I noticed that these two little rubber plugs are missing. Does anyone know where I would be able to get a set of them?
Thank you for any help
I don't think you can get them anywhere. They don't seem to include them with the Infinity. Only the cover for the 40 pin connector.

Thank you for your reply. I was afraid of this. I was hoping that there was some kind of quick fix or somebody had made a set to buy.
I was disappointed with this as well and would have kept them from my prime that i exchanged if I would have known.
The also removed the fake sd card, but I just put a real card in the slot.

Are you in the US? If you are in the US, I'll gladly send you my covers (no fee!) as I'll never use them...

(POLL) How many Infinitys have you gone through to get a good one? (POLL)

I am looking into buying the Infinity but am concerned about the Q/C issues that I have been reading about. I am adding a poll in the hopes that I will be able to get a better visual representation of how many tablets people have gone through before getting a tablet that doesn't have any issues. It is also my hope that this poll will help others who are in my position. I know that there are other threads detailing the problems but I am hoping for an easier way to see the actual results. Thank you for your participation!

great poll to run and showing the results that I have experienced from Asus products. I have had a TF101, then a TF201 (standard GPS issues) and now my TF700T. Also have a UX31E ultrabook that works just as great as my transformer.
Only one for me too. Never had a problem.

I didnt tick anything on the poll. But I bought one and exchanged it for a note coming next week. If i dont like the note Ill probably take another stab at the infinity when JB comes out.
Third one was perfect for me. First had badly bonded screen, second was worse still, third seems to be fault free, now unlocked running zeus 4, very happy.

Never had a problem, too! So happy with my TF700!

I bought one, returned it and didn't bother with another. After issues with the 101 and 201, I'm sick of farting with Asus.
Gave up on number five. I might try again in a month or two if I see more positive threads in here.

Check out my post on blotches on my screen..I may be selling this on kijiji when it comes back from RMA.. not impressed as the keyboard had to be fixed one due it separating on one corner..
Hey Guys!
I have gotten my second Infinity yesterday, since the first one had serious clicking issues.
Guess what? This time: clicking frame + slight light bleed AND the wrong colour!
I really don't know what to do...
Should I request a new one or just ask my money back and buy something else?
What do you think?
Only one like most people. People that have problems will always scream louder than those without. The forums here may seem negative at times but I guarantee you most people are more than happy with there tablets.

THank you for your reply back.. Has anyone else seen that blotching occur??
I sent colour photos along with my RMA form...
I am most likely going to hold onto the Infinity and then when the ASus VIVO Windows 8 comes out , I will get it.... you guys feel that I should be able to get a good price for the Infinty as long as I keep it in good shape..with the keyboard dock??
Anyone know the release dates for the VIVO here in Canada??
First one.. with no issues.
I want to thank everyone who has replied and voted in the poll. It's nice to visualize the results.
Edit: I wanted to add that I plan on getting the 32gb version within the next month.

I Got screen lifting issues still waiting for a replacement Infinity. It's been 2weeks no word yet, anyone getting screen bleeding and I don't like how the tablet gets air pockets under the screen if you press a little too hard on the screen. I've had random freezing issues and the screen just blanking out for no reason. Have to reboot to get the screen going to again.....Weird.

4.2 when ?

When Asus will release 4.2 update ?
I doubt it's gonna be on this side of New Year, but one can only hope. We might see custom ROMs using it before that.
Ah, I was wondering when we have the first one like this
I am afraid that 4.2 is the last one hour Infinity will get. Asus will be focusing on their new products where they (I hope) stop being cheap on NAND drives. They totally screwed this tablet over by being cheap on some small part which doesn't cost anything.
Anyway if this tablet will get 5.0 and above updates also, then Asus did some small positive surprise for me.

If you watch even the original transformer its gotten updates to ICS, i am completely confident that there will be updates for the prime and infinity to at least JB, if not further. Asus may not be great on their QA but they do update their devices. Maybe not as fast as Google, but we will see updates into the future.

Seriously? The TF300 had Jelly Bean before we did, and it's older and lower-range than the TF700. D'you seriously think they'll ditch their flagship Android device within 4 months of its release? Especially considering Asus was the second one to release JB to the previously mentioned devices, after Samsung (Samsung bought the solitary rights for the first three months, or we would've had it sooner.).

Ermmmmm Motorola released 4.1 on the Xoom and then Asus and then Samsung, so Asus was the 1st non-google company to release updates

I'm more interested to know if they will adopt the nexus 10/7 hybrid phone/tablet ui or keep the current tablet ui so as to not confuse users. I can see the merit of the hybrid ui but I'm growing used to the current layout

buy a new TF300T 32GB Tablet Main Logic Board (tf300 motherboard)

Wanting to start unlocking my tf300; i saw a cliff
If i brick it
to attack without stress, i want a second main/logic/mother-board
And i hope to buy one motherboard before to flash anything
one of you has already changed the logic board
I find one board on ebay but only for US shipping and i live in France
is this a good idea? or unnecessary fear

Just Installed one
I just installed one to revive my bricked 16GB tablet. I would not buy one until you need it. I would HIGHLY recommend getting NVFlash snapshots if you have those you cant be bricked by a failed boot loader flash.
Best,
Feend
PS provided you have ICS and not JB. It is not possible as of yet to get NVFlash access on JB.
One from ebay?
Easy to fix it?
No nvflash for me, jb 4.1.1

You can get them from these guys too I think.. http://www.portatronics.com You would have to ask them to order you one.
Best,
Feend
i just unlock and root without stress
but i always want to buy another card just in case
