My s2 restarts on power off

my galaxy s2 restarts wheneva i power off and also it automatically switch when i remove battery and juz putting it without pressing power bottun please help me with this.. i have rooted my phone so i cant give it to compny
i am using unrooted stock version but download count is 6 if i want to reset dwnload count i want my phone to b off to use usb jug please help meee
my phone is onli a month old

hy man i done it i got ma warranty back i erased custom download by the jig i made my self............301k resistor thts it.. now i prefer giving ma phone back and get it fixed

I downloaded i installed rom manager and then i installed Clockworkmod Recovery(i think i choosed wrong phone model :| ) after that i pressed reboot in recovery mode and my phone turned off after that i couldnt turn on my phone.And my phone dont respond to button that means i cant enter download or recovery mod it is just turned off and shows nothing except black screen.PLS HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS :S

I think it's time to take your phone to a service center....
By what you have explained I don't think anything is possible by our hands....

Here's your fix worked for me. pull battery hold volume buttons reinstall battery plug in USB cord should turn on in download mode. Good luck

Its bricked

That means they cant see,and i can fix it for free with 11 months waranty left?

Well, This happeneds when ROM manager is used! If you can try, Get the battery out, re-insert it and then, switch the cell phone on Download mode (IF IT WORKS). Flash a clean fw and be happy! Try this and tell me whether it is working!

Abnormal Behaviour in Galaxy R

Hi,
I've gt some problem in ma fone.I am facing this issue from yesterday.
The issue is that the fone shutdowns abnormally
First time when i faced the issue, i was only using whatsapp from 2-3 hrs.. and all of a sudden it went black..shutdown
Even after restarting the fone, the same thing was happening..
after 2-3 attempts, it began to function properly
Second time was today, while listening to music.
After 3-4 attempts, it began to work properly.
First i thought that it mite be due to overheating. bt even after removing the battery for a while, it didn't solve d prob.
Now its 30days from d day i had purchased dis fone from letsbuy. i have 45day replacement guarantee from letsbuy.
I have a Question to u ppl, is dis genuine issue in android/Galaxt R ??
shall i replace dis fone and ask for Refund (Dnt feel like giving d fone)
Particularly d issue occurs at start-up process, i.e 'Media Scanner Running, Usb Storage ...etc'
Moreover m Using Stock Rom 2.3.5 with 8gb external_sd_card
and sd_card is 1-1.4GB free

similar thing happened to me also can you check the battery status was it the same as attached screen shot when u start ur mobile battery dropped more than 20 to 30 %.

How about flashing the stock ROM once again and clearing the cache by going into recovery ?

1. Void Warranty ?
2. Take Time
I want to confirm asap.
I can factory reset the phone, at least.

Well, i dont see a major drop in ma battery usage. Its pretty normal. I had charged d fone in morn up to 80%. After n hour of usage, i faced this prob. Uptill now i.e. upto 4hrs from prob, its working fine.

first try to factry reset your phone..
from settings - privecy !!
if it didnt help then re flash stock rom of ur country...
and flashing ur stock rom doent voids your warrenty unless u flash any kernal or root ur fone....

Update: uptil nw i.e. after 12hrs of usage, no problems faced...!!

That's good !
But if it starts to act up once again the first try a Factory Reset along with clearing the cache it might help.

i did factory rest and how can we clear the cache, i am on stock ROM with out rooting.

So you are also in the same boat ?
Here's what you need to do. . .
1. Switch of the mobile completely.
2. Hold POWER + HOME + VOLUMEUP at once to go into recovery mode.
Now select wipe cache and you are done.

That's the way to enter apx mode. To enter recovery you must: 1) hold POWER untill splash screen, 2) release POWER and press VOLUME UP + HOME until you see "booting android recovery"

Oops my bad ! Shouldn't have put the + in between Home & Power.
It completely changed its meaning.

Guys, check this last/recent review on flipkart titled "bad phone", he has mentioned that his phone wouldn't power up with SIM inserted, is it the same issue people are facing, when R dies off, or refuses to boot?? It is a very weird issue. Well, atleast this would help someone to restore to stock and take it back to CC. But, I don't know how can they have such a hardware issue... Hmm!

mine was similar kind of issue but when i remove my SIM card and start the mobile it will start, after starting i will put my SIM card back i will work fine this happened twice for me and i did the same thing, yesterday i did factory reset and cleared the cache and until now i haven't faced any problem need to see if it occurs again i will take to customer care.

yes it clears everything, so better to take back up before doing this with the help of KIES, after factory reset i've formatted my SD card and cleared cache also..

Urgent Help..!!!!

hey guys pzz help me...
i dropped my phone into water.
then after that it started giving problem.
at first touchscreen did not worked nor the middle button
then i screw opened the phone for drying.....in about 4-5 hours my touch sarted to work but middle button didnt....as i was planning to take to service centre i found out this....i cant change to stock rom cause in cwm middle button doesnt work...and now m facing this huge problem...whenever i power on the phone it gets directly booted into cwm...m not pressing the middle button....as i thought that it might be pressed already under the hood so i tried to go into download mode by pressing only vol down and power(assuming middle button is already pressed)..but it passes the samsung logo and restarts again..i tried vol up too but same result...so i cant go in download mode nor can i select anything in cwm...and whenever i just plugin the charger the phone boots into cwm without pressing any buttons....have i hard bricked it???....are there any chances of unbricking it...like jig or anything....i m still in warranty .....but dont know will samsung centre will accept it as i have cwm installed....plzz guys help me out of this

He needs time to dry. Water are may in some places longer keep. It should slightly dry, but do not overheat because your phone can burn out.
Very careful with this, and if you are not sure, carry them into service.

Just take it to service centre !!
And if they ask about cwm tell u dnt knw abt dat and ur frnd was using ur phne ! I have done dis too

The water incident is one week older....and from then i have unscrewed the phone many times....recently it does not boots into rom...it boots into cwm...download mode is also not accessible...

Leave it .. Just tell them u were outside and ur phn bill was nt wid u .. And moreover ur phn was full of water and datz y u unscrewed ! Dude dey wl ask u nthng just tel reasn and aftr one week dey wl gve u ur phn wid brand new mother board .. I have got a new mother board too just take it to service centre ri8 away

You should not have to wait so long. You should immediately take the service, since water can damage the phone.

does water damage do covered by warranty? i think not

Of course this is not covered by warranty. Warranty is covered only what happens to regular use.
In this case, he should pay for repairs phone.

And you won't get warranty as:
•Water damage is not covered
•You opened the phone, I.e. unauthorized service
•You installed a custom recovery
So you won't get it done for free, but you can get it repaired...

does nt matr since ur phone has already got water damage , ur warranty is already void!! so it wont matr if ur running the stock rOM or nt!

I know the process and I have got changed my fit mother board two times.. one wen it fell into bathing tub .. I kept the phone with me for two days and allowed it to get dried.. dey repaired it for free of cost.. n my phn still have the warranty.. lol...

Hardware Porblem​
You should have to open your device & check what is the reason behind it.
may be because of some dust or like this stuck behind your power button.
(or you may drop your phone caused internal damage)
go to repair center they will resolve your problem.​

If you have warranty left go to samsung care. otherwise see some videos how to open housing of ace plus & then only try. If the internal power button itself not damaged & problem is occurring only for the external one, then it's will take no time.

i guess the internal one is stuck or something like that cause when i just touch the external button it respond and i guess i has the warranty left but i am a rooted i guess i can give it a try by myself

Unroot ur phone and then go
Or hide ur superuser app

What about the yellow triangle and I have a custom ROM and I am afraid of restarting the phone will unrooting it cause of this god dammit button

Just reset flash counter
Search for it
This should fix ur problem:thumbup:

Use triangle away. and then take a nandroid backup, & flash with the stock rom. Now there has no chance to identify if the phone was rooted or not, After everything completed from samsung, come home, take a long breath and root your phone and then restore the nandroid backup. :victory:

im experiencing the same issue

Guyes the problem is in the power button.
I tried all software solutions but finally i found the problem is that power button
I must be fixed or replaced :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
