Hi,
I've gt some problem in ma fone.I am facing this issue from yesterday.
The issue is that the fone shutdowns abnormally
First time when i faced the issue, i was only using whatsapp from 2-3 hrs.. and all of a sudden it went black..shutdown
Even after restarting the fone, the same thing was happening..
after 2-3 attempts, it began to function properly
Second time was today, while listening to music.
After 3-4 attempts, it began to work properly.
First i thought that it mite be due to overheating. bt even after removing the battery for a while, it didn't solve d prob.
Now its 30days from d day i had purchased dis fone from letsbuy. i have 45day replacement guarantee from letsbuy.
I have a Question to u ppl, is dis genuine issue in android/Galaxt R ??
shall i replace dis fone and ask for Refund (Dnt feel like giving d fone)

similar thing happened to me also can you check the battery status was it the same as attached screen shot when u start ur mobile battery dropped more than 20 to 30 %.

How about flashing the stock ROM once again and clearing the cache by going into recovery ?

I want to confirm asap.
I can factory reset the phone, at least.

Well, i dont see a major drop in ma battery usage. Its pretty normal. I had charged d fone in morn up to 80%. After n hour of usage, i faced this prob. Uptill now i.e. upto 4hrs from prob, its working fine.

first try to factry reset your phone..
from settings - privecy !!
if it didnt help then re flash stock rom of ur country...
and flashing ur stock rom doent voids your warrenty unless u flash any kernal or root ur fone....

That's good !
But if it starts to act up once again the first try a Factory Reset along with clearing the cache it might help.

So you are also in the same boat ?
Here's what you need to do. . .
1. Switch of the mobile completely.
2. Hold POWER + HOME + VOLUMEUP at once to go into recovery mode.
Now select wipe cache and you are done.

That's the way to enter apx mode. To enter recovery you must: 1) hold POWER untill splash screen, 2) release POWER and press VOLUME UP + HOME until you see "booting android recovery"

Oops my bad ! Shouldn't have put the + in between Home & Power.

Guys, check this last/recent review on flipkart titled "bad phone", he has mentioned that his phone wouldn't power up with SIM inserted, is it the same issue people are facing, when R dies off, or refuses to boot?? It is a very weird issue. Well, atleast this would help someone to restore to stock and take it back to CC. But, I don't know how can they have such a hardware issue... Hmm!

mine was similar kind of issue but when i remove my SIM card and start the mobile it will start, after starting i will put my SIM card back i will work fine this happened twice for me and i did the same thing, yesterday i did factory reset and cleared the cache and until now i haven't faced any problem need to see if it occurs again i will take to customer care.

yes it clears everything, so better to take back up before doing this with the help of KIES, after factory reset i've formatted my SD card and cleared cache also..

I am facing an issue with latest release 2.3.6 from past 4 nights. Every morning when i wakes up i can see boot samsung logo in my phone and it keeps on restarting automatically afterwards when i remove the battery and power it on again whole data is wiped out including contacts messages mails but applications remains only. I have tried reinstalling the firmware its same.
Please advice.

1. Flash with pit file alone of xxkpe with re-partition checked.
2. Then click on reset button in odin.
3. Then enter the mobile again in download mode.
4. Select four files pda, modem, csc, bootloader with re-partition unchecked and flash it.
5. Flash xxkpe once more.
6. Flash with ddkp2.
7. Wipe cache and factory reset.
got new galaxy i9003 on replacement.....

Most easier way is to factory reset before flashing a new rom. Remember wipe davick cache, after u flash too.

But you can see that after flashing a new rom it automatically factory resets, the time between the flashing done and the phone boots i.e. some process occur in phone u can see that automatically factory resetting

I was facing this same problem, not only with kp2 but even kpq bone stock with no root. I guess it's a hardware fault as even a full fresh install doesn't fix it.So my advice is to give it to the service center and let them replace the board. That's what they're doing to my phone, will get it in 2 days...

Yes its unacceptable that so many phones are failing at roughly about the same time... those whose phones are still running fine do run a risk of this happening to them too!

I am facing the same issue with my GT-i9003 since last month... been to service centers here in Bangalore multiple times but these guys are clueless. They kept it under observation for more than 10 days in these 4 visits and promised to fix it. They dont agree to this being a hardware issue and insist that there is software fix which they are not able to explain or convince me so far.
I contacted the Samsung support and they got back to me. Yesterday they asked me to again submit my cellphone to the same service center and promised that they would fix it. I am really confused as to what steps to take now to get my phone fixed as only a month left for the warranty to expire. If this is an hardware issue, how do I get it replaced? Please advise.

it may be boot loop..flash i9003 with ddkp3 and clear cache / do factory data reset... dont forget to backup

Continously mail and call the customer support and say them that it has been more than 3 times the service center cant fix the problem and ask them and force them to replace the handset... i had a similar another problem and gave it two times and recieved it without repairing the fault.. atlast i fired on them and they replaced with a brand nrw mobile.... say them that you are going to complaint the customer court...

Now new problem arise, GPS totally no working.

hi , i am having galaxy sl i9003, and all was going good until came to newzealand and? updated my cell by official FW by kies. when i did that the cell restart by by it self and it stucks in the boot lood and when i saw the loop i remove battery and after that i starts it again what i see is my phone is formated no contacts no messages.thats not all after that as i had no choice to go for? unofficial FW i tried some FW from every were. read so many forums and tried on my phone but didnt worked but what i came to know is my internal sd is broken thats the problem. i read one solution which contains root the phone and tried it and ended up having one more addition in my problems now it doesnt even starts its just stucks in boot loop no matter what ever i do. i can go to download mode and recovery mode thats all nothing else . i hope you here can help me out plz!!!

If you can go into download mode just flash xxkpe then flash yiur desired firmware.The whole guide is given in development section.As for the restart problem.If your phone restarts and factory resets(all contacts and msgs lost) frequently then its tge problem of motgerboard.in which case there is no solution other than going to samsung service centre.

i had the same problem but i've never had a restart problem... as the other members say you must go to a samsung center

Hey guys, i had exactly the same problems on my phone... only my phone reboots when i leave the phone in idle for 2 weeks before completely bootlooping on the bootlogo. at first i thought it was just a software problem and i could fix it by reflashing to stock. it took one more week before doing so since i didnt have a new laptop then. but when i got my laptop, i immediately flashed to stock but the rebooting still exists. i want to tell you guys, if it still reboots even if you flash to stock, IT IS NO LONGER A SOFTWARE/FIRMWARE PROBLEM! it is a hardware defect between the motherboard and the internal sd (usb storage). if you have this problem, bring it immediately to a service center for a motherboard fix/change. the cause of the problem is by putting the phone on your jeans/shorts' pocket (specially if its slim fit/ or tight) the phone bends and then it'll break the motherboard... also an unusual cause of the promblem is that when you have an external sd exceeding 8gigabytes. yes i too am suprised. i found this out when the technician asked me how much gig my ext. sd has. they say that it is adviseable and reccomended to have a 4gig ext. sd or lower. anything else higher could damage the phone.

Then when i want to turn on the phone did do anithing.. i can't turn on , can;t put in recovery mode , can't put in download mode! i think the phone is dead!

Install ROM with 4 files via ODIN. S5670XXKPI or S5670XWKTI.
this happened to me also once....
put your phone for charging for 5 minutes and then try
worked for me
Maybe ur power button is malfunctioning... try pressing the power button harder.. happened with me earier.. maybe it might help u..

tak the battery out and leave it for a while.. for 10 mins i think..
after that put the battery back.. dnt just on it... just go to download mode..
flash the full package rom..

b4 when i was a noob i got a problem n d solution was to flash the stock rom back but i didnt no anythin abt it, gave it for servicing, n they said they changed the motherboard

the fit came back from warranty. in service book i read that the on/off button is the problem..but I'm not so sure... the phone came back only with stock app. I think that they make a factory reset or i don't know , cause the phone it was rooted and a lot of app installed. I was lucky cause they don't se the root! thanks to all

Hey guys,
well I bought off Ebay this phone some weeks ago and I already had some problems which I was able to fix, but now I'm having problems again.
The standard is done, means S-Off, hboot 1.28, 4EXT recovery and JellyBam CFW. It worked now for like a week... haven't even been finishing the contact sorting due that I lost some contacts from the last **** that happened. <.<
Since yesterday evening, without that I did something, it starts to reboot when I hit the "Power"-Button which actually is used to wake it up when the screen turns black. It boots normal, asks me to put in the sim-pin, then it loads and screen turns off (usually due to screenprotect). When I now hit the "Power"-Button it just restarts instead of showing the screen for the protector. I tried already to wipe the cache but it didn't help.
I don't want to reinstall Firmware or something neither do I want to contact the seller. My job requires this phone.

That's not a solution. Isn't normal that I have to plan a new ROM like every week.

I got Given a generic Onix tablet bought in Aldi stores in australia, Its running android 4.0 anyway i went to Factory Data\Reset the device when i hit yeh to it will erase everything it said powering off and now wont turn back on...charger plugged in and still nothing happens any idea what could have gone wrong?

when plugged into a USB it comes up Unknown Device i guess its stuffed
Hold the power button and volume down button for about ten secs it cou be longer it varies tablet to tablet that should bring u to reboot mode wipe date wipe cache and wipe user data then reboot
Ps it cud be power button and volume button up .the volume buttons allow u to go up and down through the menus thank me if this helps

I have the exact same problem, but the link leads to a 404. Can you please tell me what you did to fix your tablet?

identical problem, 404 error on the link provided!
while playing games with my android tab, my tab lag suddenly . then, the tab will power off by itself . and suddenly, the tab will come out with the word 'ANDROID' with a black background . and it will be like that for the whole day until it battery run out . it always happen frequently to me . so, how to fix this problem ?

It sounds like your tab overheated or it has a problem with one of the components.
Factory reset.
Problem persists.
Contact manufacturer.
To restart android manually you can hold volume up + power button combo.

how am i gonna do the factory reset? i'm kind of new with android world . and i already did what u told me to do . hold the volume up+power button combo but nothing happen .
p/s: my tab haven't been rooted yet ...

Go to settings > privacy > factory reset.
the key combo is only for getting out of a rut.
And you have to hold it to make it restart.

already done that.. nothing happen too.
btw, i already did the 'factory reset' thing .. i lost all of my apps in the tab,,then , i download games,apps and i install it to the tab ..

Do you have the latest updates if any?
My point is that you should fact reset then wait a couple of days and see if it reboots etc.
Don't install any apps. (It is a test, you want to see if stock android causes no problems.)
You want to determine if an app is your problem.

guess what? it happen again .. i already did what u told me to do , so here, i really need ur help on how to change the ROM.. a lot of my friend said that the ROM might be the problem ... hence, i really need ur help .please teach me how to change the ROM ...

If you can find your support and downloads page from your manufacturer then maybe you can check to see if they have any updates.
Or it is a hardware defect so you must contact your manufacturer for a repair or replacement.
Nothing else to see here.
