Got another One X last weekend. I checked the screen thoroughly in store to make sure it was flawless. I have now however noticed that there is a spec of dust under the screen. It was definitely not there when I checked it in store, spent ages on a solid white background making sure.
So is there anyway I can try and get rid of it. It got there on its own somehow so I must at least be able to move it off the side of the screen one way or another. It's no big deal if I can't get rid of it as its hardly noticeable in every day use.
I have tried gently tapping the screen and knocking it on its side but it hasn't moved so far. I don't want to try to hard encase I damage the phone. Don't want to try and take the phone apart and attempt to separate the touch component from the LCD and try either as the phone is so new.
Att will exchange for dust under the screen. But. When the phones been on and in use allowing the screen to get warm about 30 minutes lightly tap in the opposite direction. Should move the dust out.
Work on my iPhone back in the day. :/

pretty sure the glass is glued to the lcd and stuck there forever!
Thanks for the reply's. I'm in Australia so now ATnT for me. This is my 9th. Very happy with this one. Won't be returning it for this unless more gets under there. I must be able to move it. I'll try leaving it on max brightness as you suggested and go from there.
It must be possible to separate the digitizer from the LCD because you can buy a replacement -

Its not worth exchanging unless more gets under there. I'm getting tired of setting up new ones so I can live with this issue unless it gets worse.

Bugger. Wonder how it got there then. Haven't been able to move it at all. Who knows maybe it was there and just didn't see it when I bought it. I have 30 days to take it back so I'll hold of and see what happens.

Um not to be a complete **** but after working retail for 6 years as a store manager for At&t and several years in I.T / EE / and project management. The chances of you running into 9 defects of a single model and brand new replacements are are probably slimmer than you getting struck by lightning and winning the lottery together. I would start asking myself am I OCD, do I have dementia, should I be ruling out Delirium..
Ok, sorry I'm being an ass. Just saying.. you either have the worst luck in the world. I read your post completely wrong, or; its you. Either way hope you get it figured out. This phone really is something extraordinary.

My first had dead pixels and a yellow spot. Second had creaking and a rattle. 3rd dent in the lcd panel under the digitizer. The next 5 I unboxed in store. Some had dead pixels and the others had bad dust under the screen.
I didn't tell them were the dust or pixels were, just that there was something wrong with the screen, they pointed them out. The dust under this one is nothing like the ones I unboxed in store a while back, some specs were almost as big as the dot on the letter i which is why I'm going to stick with this one.
I don't think it's to much to ask to get one without dust under the screen seeing as how there are many out there with defect free phones. I feel like I am entitled to the same experience as them, paid the same hard earned money as them after all.. I suspect though that many probably have dust etc but have either not noticed or choose to live with it.
Your right about the phone being extraordinary, which is why I haven't stuck with a refund. Really no going back after you have had a phone like this.
Edit: check this forum out. I'm not the only one with issues and multiple returns. It's a shame so many are having repeat issues.

This guy worked in retail & engineering and the bases of his argument is the fact he thinks dust and imperfections are ludicris for someone to complain about! Now if he worked at the HTC manufacturing plant where they made these phones and can honestly produce manufacturing data depicting margins of error of defect in the manufacture of these devices in several respective categories then we can break the odds down mathematically and prove whether this poster is full of $hit, delusional etc!
Until then I'll keep lolling @ the response It was good
He's got a point... Say the odds of you getting a messed up screen is 1 in 1000... Multiply .001 by itself 9 times. Those are the odds of you actually getting 9 broken phones in a row.
Edit... It's 1x10^-27.... So yeah, you'd win the lottery a couple of times.

I have a tiny tiny dead pixel in the top of the screen... no big deal, it's so tiny on this model... for $399 for the phone ya really can't expect perfection... it's the cheapest android w\ comparable specs to date, they're cutting costs to keep prices low. Thought about swapping it, but not worth the hassle because in 2 months there will be a next best thing and I know I'll end up buying it, lol
Had a stuck pixel on mine. I returned and promptly had a nice new stuck pixel free device. It was tiny and if I had to live with it, it wasn't that bad, but why live with it? It was distracting from my inspire goodness.

Yeah, but after having many phones after many years with many dead pixels, half the time the exchanged phone has a same or similarly annoying issue. It's a cheapy phone and I won't have it for too long, so I'm not worried. Funny how the people who make a big deal about a tiny dead pixel on the phone are the same people who get a big scratch on their car and never fix it, haha
Follow up...
Hmm, I just looked for the dead pixel and it's gone.. I took the screen protector off this morning, it must have just been dust under the screen protector... mehh.
I liked having a screen protector but the screen looks sooooo much nicer and is so much more touch responsive without it. This is the first phone I've ever put one on, and I will never use one again. I went with 3 brands and all 3 sucked.
Meh, I used to have an iPhone4 that wouldn't scratch no matter what you did to it. Put it with keys in your pocket, not a damn scratch.
I thought I'd have the same experience with the Inspire but no. I actually babied the phone, put it in its own pocket etc. but still ended up with a half inch light scratch where the capacitive buttons are. Good thing I can't see it unless I hold the phone at a certain angle or it would bug me forever. I promptly threw a protector on it, I strongly recommend them.

Do you know me or something? I swear I'm gonna get that scratched fixed soon! Lol!
Dead pixels have always bothered me on handheld devices. But I have really good vision. I can see pixels on an iPhone 4 screen. I see the dots on the inspire screen everyday, but they don't bother me much. The phone is too awesome! To me it's not a cheap phone. I may use it for another year or so.
Generally, a dead pixel is always a black dot, whereas a stuck pixel could be any color. I had two dead pixels on an old Captivate, AT&T exchanged it no problem.
Hello,
Sorry, I accidentally posted this in the Desire HD forum first (not that it should really matter of course).
I've started to notice that the glass on my Inspire 4G is making a slight snapping noise and moving a bit sometimes when I press on the corners, almost as if the glass is lifting slightly over time. Once I press the corners, it is fine for a few minutes, then I can do it again, hearing the snapping noises.
I want to root my phone and install RCMix HD, but I don't want to void my warranty if the glass is going to lift off my screen in a few months. Is anyone else seeing this issue? Other than this and poor battery life, I absolutely love the phone. It's a HUGE improvement over the xdandroid experience on my Touch Pro 2.
Anyone else with this problem?

Yes, others have complained about the screen lifting. If you are within the 30 day return policy, you can try to exchange it. I don't think it'll completely come off over a long period of time.

If you bought the phone from at&t, they can do a warranty exchange or like you said, call HTC and see what they can do. If you rooted your phone, you need to bring it back to factory original state prior to returning it to either HTC or at&t.

LOL. HTC will do a warranty exchange. Not sure if rat shack will care.
If I do bring it in for a warranty exchange, will the next one just do the same thing? Is this common to all Inspires, or are most alright?
I know others have complained about the screen lifting or moving near the search key. Others have also complained about the lcd making funny colors while pressing on the search key. I guess its a hit or miss.

Mine is also doing it
Sometimes it gets really bad and so annoying knowing that later through normal use eventually the glass will come off and or get all kinds of dust/lint under the glass.
I got mine @ Costco on launch day and they mentioned 90 days to replace if defective and after 90 days that I would have to deal with HTC for warranty? Is this true has anyone else dealt with Costcos wireless, will they replace it?
Funny thing is on launch day my brand new Inspire had white specks of lint under the glass and within the week I got it replaced and they agreed its defective.
So this could be an uprising defect.

I bought mine directly from AT&T, and am still in my buyer's remorse period. So my biggest decision is whether to get another Inspire 4G or to switch to another phone. I love this phone, but don't want to get another if it is going to have the same problem. However, I don't know what other phone I would get in its place.
My corner by the search button is now visibly elevated. Either I just now noticed this, or it is rapidly getting worse. At this rate, I feel the glass would be off completely by next month.

There is no lifting or moving on mine, though I can get a tiny bit of distortion if I hold down the search key firmly, however, you really have to press hard to get that, in normal use it is fine.
Edit-I guess some of this is like the patient who tells his doctor "it hurts when I move my arm this weird way", to which the doctor responds "Don't move it that way"
Damn... Mine is doing the same thing. This is bothersome...
It's not noticeable for me, unless I concentrate on it while I'm pressing on it. Also, if I hit the search button like others here, it discolors the screen.
Are there people out there who this doesn't happen to?
I'm considering "upgrading" to the Atrix. I really love the Inspire, but if it's just going to fall apart or get dust under the screen, I won't be able to handle it. The battery life of the Atrix entices me too, but there's just something special about the Inspire...
How long is the warranty on our phones? I suppose I could just replace it a few times before the warranty is up, but if my last replacement has the same issue later... I just don't know.
I sure wish that AT&T would have nabbed the Sensation. Then I would be switching right now, no question.
It's a "feature"
Mine does it, but it doesn't effect the phone. It's in a case so I don't even notice it now.

I wouldn't consider that an "upgrade". The manufactures warranty lasts a year.
Seems the only solution to fix this problem is to hit the search button with a hammer xD.
All jokes a side as long as there is no dust and the glass isn't seriously falling out of the phone, I would just chalk it up as normal. Every phone has its quirks.

Hence the quotes around "upgrade"
Anyway, I agree that every phone has its quirks, and that's fine. For me, the relatively short battery life of the Inspire is a quirk. But a lifting screen isn't a quirk, but a straight-up defect. A defect should never be considered "normal", even if it happens to all phones of a certain model.
I'm going to go and exchange the phone this afternoon. If the display model at the store is okay, with no lifted screen, I will go with the Inspire again. If the display model is lifted as well, I may go with the Atrix. Hopefully the bootloader protection will be broken someday, and development will flourish.
It really is a bummer for me though, as I really do love my inspire.
By the way, just got off the phone with HTC to see if this was a known issue that was being fixed in manufacturing. Apparently, my representative had never heard of the problem. Must be so slight that most people aren't noticing the problem.
Anyway, It sounds like it isn't being actively worked on to fix the issue.
If i push the glass in the corner of the search key, i can feel the glass mive and it creeks too.

My right lower corner bleeds out a little if I push on it real hard and so does the left side but screen is not elevated at all. it's as flat as it can be. There is no dust trapped. This phone is like 1 month old. I also went to the at&t store and checked out to the display model and all are the same but none had the screen elevated.
This may be an individual issue. But I also tried to push the atrix and captivate on the right lower corner and they dont bleed.

Talk about a pita, I have been transferred to everyone under the sun at htc and at&t with no one telling me anything but send it in. I don't know about you, but I can't live without my phone for that long due to work.
Should've bought it at Best Buy. Geek squad protection plan is expensive but very well worth it for oh crap moments or times like these.
Just noticed a tiny teeny spec of dust... So small I hardly notice it.its not a pixel its just one tiny spec. Anyways the phone is perfect other than this, no reboots, no bleeding. Great.
Question is would you return it? I dont want to but my ocd may get the best of me.
That would drive me bonkers. If they'll take it back, I would. But knowing that most carriers consider a burned out pixel acceptable ( and not cause to replace a phone),I'm guessing that they would balk at replacing it. If it was me, it would be one of those battles I'd "choose" to fight.
Depends on you. Can you live with it?
Also, did one speck get in when the phone was made or will more work their way in?

That's exactly what I was wondering. Its so small and in the center kinda so I don't know how it could have got there after I got it.. But could have..
If it was in there I didn't notice it till now.. Its almost like after you clean the screen off, theres those few spots that you can barely see that is something sticky needing a finger nail to scratch off. So small but still I know its there... Well I got till the 18th too return it. Will see if any more come .
Edit: I guess it could be a tiny pixel the more I look at it. Some angles make it almosy vanish... Hmmm I'm not gonna worry about it unless within my return period it gets worse...
You would think if it was dust there would be more ? Or at least closer to the edges...
Meh... Whatever, don't see it on black screens thats all that I care..
If you want to return it just tell them your phone is freezing and rebooting itself after you tried multiple factory resets. If the dust gets on your nerves then you have the right to replace it. You paid for it. Personally I wouldn't because I would be afraid of getting a ****ed up device.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of.... This device is perfect otherwise and you really need to look hard to see it. I wouldn't be surprised if I gave it to someone to look for dust or a bad pixel they would miss it unless very thorough....

I totally agree. I always thought it was bogus that they could even do this. I've been lucky, mostly received new or looks new. But we've all heard the horror stories. I'm loath to return any phone.
I had a speck of what looked like cigarette ash under my screen. Then it was gone. *shrug*
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA App
Ok with the screen off very carefully you can see it in the right light angle..
So its a piece of dust that to me looks like it got there when made and its so small I never noticed.... I'm good thanks for the feedback I'm keepin it..
I would definitely replace it. If one piece of dust somehow got passed the supposedly sealed screen. Then more dust can and will find its' way in over time. I had that problem with my mytouch 4g. I noticed a tiny spec, then a week later more and more kept building until it was just horrible.
I have one to the left of the status bar. I know it won't be visible with 2.3 and it's black status bar so I'm not sweating it. I would exchange it if it were elsewhere tho.

Ok. So I couldnt stop looking at it even though it was barely there.
so I called them, told them I bought the phone out right 500 and I have dust under the screen. He said hold on, came back on the phone and said that they would exchange it with a 10 dollar restocking fee. I said BS, Im not paying that for dust under my screen, why? He said "because once it left the store we dont know what you did to it to get dust under the screen". I said, BS again, My phone is 9 days old without a scratch or dust around the edges under the tmobile cover its been using the whole time and that even if I was in a dusty environment that its not exceptable to have dust. I had a nexus, vibrant, vibrant 4g, hd2, touch pros etc. Im not stupid and im not paying the fee". He argued again and I said well then, it reboots too, I was not gonna mention that but since your hastling me it has a bad rebooting issue (it didnt but I read here and know what I can get away with). He then said ok well bring it in and will look at it.
So I get there ( you can tell they were expecting me) and he basically was pretty chill and returned it although another rep was trying to say I need to pay the stocking fee and asking the dude if he could replicate the reboots (ahole), and etc. Anyways they didnt charge me the fee and gave me my new device. While sitting there after it booted I inspected it very very closely. In a few seconds I found a dead pixel. I go to show him and he says " I cant see it, thats just dust on the screen protector". So we take it off, I look again and can still see the faintest pixel changing from gone to black while angling the device. I give it back and say yup, right there, (now at this point the other rep is getting mad lmfaooo). The rep thats helping me cant see it, I say what? Its right there, pointing to it, (it was very small but I could see it) he still cant see it. So I say hold on, then I go in the brower, find a i with the dot on top and put it right above that and say look right about the dot about the i. He does, still cant see it and shows the other rep getting mad. he then says yea he sees its, but they still are hasling me cause now Ive went through 3 devices (one brought back, dead pixel and now to get a new one. lol) So I say " what you mean burn through 3 devices like I chose too. I paid 500 dollars for this and im not walking out with a device with a dead pixel right off the bat". The other rep tells my rep to go talk to the manager. So that rep leaves. for a few.... LOL
As the dude is back talking to his manager, the other rude rep was helping a customer put on a screen protector. the guy and him are talking about it being a pain in the arse putting those on and dust always gets under the screen. So I using my XDA experience but in and tell the REP, " Hey bro, a little trick if your say at home is turn on the shower and let the dust fall to the ground, then wash hands realllllly good, then try it and it will be wayyyyyy easier". LoL. Then said "im kind of a phone nerd, I know my **** man"... He didnt look to happy after that cause the customer was really intrigued especially after watching me fight with them..
The dude comes back and says "ok, my Manager said its a judgment call and its up to me. My manager couldnt see it (are these idiots blind) but I know finally can so I will exchange it". Then said he cant exchange any more times (hell id refund then go down the street and buy another with a new 30 day warantee.lol). So anyways. I finally got a new device. No dust or pixel issues, lets hope I get no rebooting issues. I think it may have a little more screen bleed but that don't bother me none. If they would have made me pay the 10 dollar re stock fee I would have returned the device and went down the street also.... Jack asses. like im supposed to walk out with a dead pixel.....lol

Jack asses. like im supposed to walk out with a dead pixel.....lol
got my new phone, so far so good...

Haha, yeah it's a huge PITA to get them to replace your phone more than once on the same day. Today I went to target to get mine replaced since it had a dead pixel and I also scratched the screen somehow lol, I new the guy would tell me that he couldn't see the dead pixel and would not accept the return so I just went into the recovery and formatted the system so the phone wouldn't boot . After I got my second phone i went straight to the darkest place I could find in the store to check for the backlight bleed and noticed that it way worse than my first phone so I went back to the guy and told him to look at the edges of my screen and he kept saying that he couldn't see anything wrong with the phone and eventually even told me that I was just being nitpicky and that he wouldn't replace it again So i figured Ill just get it replaced through CS until I get one with minimal bleed.

Hey guys, New to the HTC sensation threads (its my Girlfriends phone)
Got her this phone about 6 months ago - 1 week after having it she dropped it and broke the digitizer anyway i got that fixed at my local phone shop with aftermarket digitizer - it worked well but you could tell it was not genuine.
anyway the other week i dropped it and broke the lcd screen yet the digitizer is fine and the phone is still 100% useable - except the display looks awful.
Does anyone know if this is an easy fix, is it worth fixing myself or taking it to the phone shop - Im embarrassed to go back and explain how it has broke again lol.... But i need to get it fixed, Im so close to having my wang removed by my girlfriend.
I was wondering whether or not HTC themselves would repair it ? and maybe replace the digitizer too, I dont mind paying the extra £££ for genuine parts and to be fixed by genuine HTC repairmen..
Any ideas how i can get out this mess ??
sorry for the long post.
Thanks
Off course HTC will repair it, but it'll take longer and probably charge you a lot more than what you can it fixed for.
Out of curiosity do you/your girl not put the phone in a case or something?

Haha, no i did not.. But as soon as i get it fixed im gunna invest in a bulletproof / bombproof carbon kevlar box and keep it locked inside it !!!
Was it bought through a carrier or sim free? Could always take it to your carrier and see what they suggest, although they're not normally the cheapest, but at least it should get done properly.
Yeah i got it through vodafone, I think i will give them a call and see what they say.
I was considering taking out insurance, then in a few days call them and tell them its broken, This is risky.... what do you think the odds are with me getting away with it ?
Do you think they would notice the aftermarket digitizer ? It is an exact replica with HTC on it....
these damn phones are so fragile.... I miss the old nokias
EDIT: Seen this and am tempted to get it and fix it myself..... http://www.lingosbox.com/product_info.php?language=en¤cy=GBP&products_id=4769

No, you won't get away with it, and it's dishonest, anyway. Don't make yourself a criminal over a cell phone.
Now, that being said, check Ebay. There are lots of vendors in the UK and elsewhere (lots here in the US) that sell replacement screen kits, many of which include instructions and tools.
If you're handy with small tools and careful, you can do this yourself for a fraction of what it will cost you to have it done. I learned this when my kid's iPod battery died some years ago. They're not user replaceable, and Apple wanted some outrageous amount to do it, plus you had to send it away. I found a guy on line that sold batteries with tools and directions, and in 20 minutes, she was good as new.
Pays to do it yourself.

I totally agree with you !! i do not want to result to fraudulent behaviour... BUT, i dont want to pay approx £80 for parts and make the whole situation worse by possibly making more damage.
BUT i also dont want to pay approx £150 - £200 thinking i could of fixed it for much less by doing it myself.
I am good with stuff like that and am very gentle and careful..... but i dont believe in myself lol
I recently replaced mine. Its not too terribly hard to do. But you have to get it just right. Currently the digitizer is a bit slow and unresponsive at time but I think i didnt get it in there completely right. So I'm going to dissaimble is again today and get it suck in better and see of that helps

Since the Sensation screen is made by two different manufactures is it possible to mix and match them or do you have to replace the screen with the same one with phone came with? I have a Sensation that needs a LCD that I have not taken apart yet. Im wanting to get the better screen but im not sure if I can just put the better screen in it if thats not what it came with in the first place.

Well it's much better to replace it with the same display just to be sure it's going to work. There's also a side by side comparison of the Sharp and Acer (AUO) displays
That said, you can check what panel you have using the instructions on this thread:

The display on my phone is completely destroyed so I cant use terminal emulator to look it up :-(
EDIT: I was doing some research on the part numbers on the back of my screen and I found this thread...
http://pdaclub.pl/forum/sensation/dziwny-kurz-pod-dotykiem/
Post #8 has my same part number as mine (74h02057-00M) listed and in the same sentence AUO. So I have to assume it had the AUO screen which kinda sucks.

If somehow you can get it to get recognized by adb, you can issue the dmesg from there by using 'adb shell dmesg'

I dont even have a battery for it at the moment. When the battery arrives ill check it out. I have a feeling im not going to be able to get ADB working though.
I bought this!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/260959508044?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
Ill let you all know how it turns out....
Well I got the screen and digitizer from the link above today. Installed it and its perfectly fine. No lag anywhere, registers touch like the stock one did. The LCD panel seems to be the same quality as the AUO panel but thats fine with me since im pretty sure this phone came with the AUO from the factory. If you do decide to replace your screen and digitizer i suggest getting them as separate pieces. Having them attached to each other made it sorta difficult to get back together cleanly.

well the day after i got it fixed i knocked it off the side onto tiled flooring, it cracked the lcd but not the digitizer... so weird lol
anyway since then i have had some signal issues with my provider, they have established that the handset is faulty, they are collecting it to repair it.
I still havent had the screen fixed so im just going to see what happens when they go to repair it, Maybe they will think they broke the screen and fix it before returning it to me. Or maybe they wont.... if thats the case i will argue with them that it was fine before they took it away from me
after all, they must have 100's of these phones in boxes gathering dust in their warehouse(s) so a little arguing and im sure i will get it fixed / replaced.
Shhhhh Moms the word !!!

Alright so I got my gs3 today and I recently noticed that there is a piece of dust near the top of the display. I know it is dust because it is still visible with the screen off. I'm not really bothered by it considering it's about the size of a pixel. Do you recommend I attempt to exchange it, or just live with it. It's in the notification bar and is almost never visible and I didn't notice it the first time I checked it for dead pixels.

If it doesn't bother you I would just keep it. It is a major hassle switching out phones and the stores will generally fight you tooth and nail to keep from allowing the exchange unless the phone is really defective. Good luck!

I would exchange it.

To be honest I have more crap stuck in between my screen protector and the Glass. It's hardly noticeable so I'm not really worried. I know if I go into a vzw store they will be difficult. Even if I get a new one it could have a dead pixel smack dab in the center. Still an awesome phone.
It was a huge pain getting my Galaxy S3 replaced at a Verizon store for a legitimate problem- I had a dead pixel. The employee helping me refused to replace it, until finally the manager came and looked at it, deeming it a legitimate problem and allowed me a swap for a new device.
So if it doesn't bother you, don't worry about it.
I had my first GS3 replaced by T-Mobile. Right after I called they sent a brand new one overnight at no cost to me. Sent first phone back with the included return shipping label. Everything was easy as pie.

I am in Canada but I imagine it still works the same. I never go into the store to deal with problems like that. Call them up (not the individual store). The people on the other end are used to dealing with that all day and have the policy down pat. I would believe they would resolve the issue immediately and send a replacement. At the minimum you will be opening a ticket (file) about the issue. An remember polite and firm, if the original person you are dealing with cannot resolve to your satisfaction request talking to a manager. They have more latitude when dealing with issues.
An I am sorry it's brand new. You are entitled to have it in perfect working condition including not having trapped dust. Give them a call.
P.S. An yes you are bothered by it, or you would of never taken the time to Create your OP. An I would be bothered by it as well.
Good luck.
I'm debating because right now I am bothered by it, but I know in a little while I really won't care. I'll see if I can get it replaced, but if I can't it won't be the end of the world.

Ha Ha, well I got two new ones. the second one had a dead pixel right in the middle.
Dirt Or Dead Pixel Under Screen
I just went through this myself, I bought a new S3 from Future Shop, it was great for the first 7 days then I just happened to have a grey wallpaper up and I noticed faint black lines almost in the middle of the screen and they ran from the top to the bottom, and as I scrolled the wallpaper back and forth they were very noticeable, I myself am the type of guy that now that I know its there it drives me crazy, I ended up taking it into the store and the sales rep looked at it and pulled another out to compare, he sat there for 10 minutes comparing it and finally told me the new one has the same lines but refused to show me it. So I took my phone and left. After I get home just before bed I noticed a black dot near the top, I tried wiping it off for I thought it was dust but it did not move, I could not figure out what it was, I thought dust but how did it get there in a matter of a few hours when I don't put my phone anywhere that it could cause dust to get into the screen like that, I ended up shinning a light on it with the screen off and it was not there so it was a pixel issue, I ended up going back to the store this morning where I had to argue and complain for 20 minutes before they finally exchanged it as they tried telling me it was dust behind the screen, anyway the new one is perfect. There should be no issue when you want to return or exchange your phone especially when you just shelled out $600 to buy it. But I suppose with the mass production of these phones there is bound to be issues with some.
