Hi,
I have a Sprint Nexus S 4G and just returned from a trip to Indonesia where I was unable to get any GPS signal. I wasn't sure why that was, if it had something to do with which satellites the phone gets signals from etc. and was wondering if anyone here knows why.
Thanks.

I have a rooted samsung Fascinate. I want to know if there is any app or anything that I can do to get it to recieve 4g from verizion. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I only ask because my town has 4g, but I only ever have 1-2 bars of 3g data service at any time. So if anybody knows if I can get 4g, or any way to get a better 3g signal.
Addt info: It is not any problem with my phone, most people in my town have terrible verizon 3g ever since they added 4g
nope its a radio and internal drivers thing.
No, Verizon 4G or LTE requires completely different hardware for the radio inside. The reason your service is suffering from the advent of 4G is due to Verizon converting existing 3G sites to 4G.
When this is done, 3G signal will depricate as there will be less 3G radios serving your zone.

Hi, I have bought a HTC Inspire 4G from USA, which is unlocked, I live in Central America, and I've noticed that the signal gets lost sometimes, it's pretty unstable, I'd like to know if this is a common issue on this model or maybe my provider does not work correctly with this model, thank you!
i know, most of us care about 3g and 4g reception, but my problem is the opposite one.
my Nexus 5 has no reception of 2g (GSM) cells. Already reflashed Stock 4.4.2 image. Still no reception.
Has anyone any other idea what to try before starting RMA?
regards
Bernie
Does your network provide 2g coverage? Mine doesn't. Just thought I'd mention it

Yes it does. Here in the Mountains 2g is often a lifesaver.
Double checked with wifes N4, no Problem on 2g, just lousy download speeds...
Hi just wondering out there how many ppl in general with the note edge are getting low 4g or lte signals. Recently just got mine and my signal is real low between 1-2 bars sometime in the city where 4g is strong i still get 1 or 2 bars. If I compare it to my old phone I'm getting full reception and real 4g speed. Not sure if it just my phone or is it a common problem everyone else has. Any feedback wil be good. I am in Australia on the telstra network. My edge is N915G running on baseband ANK4.
Same issue i think
I have the SM-N915S model from Korea and i am in The Netherlands on T Mobile.
My note 3 works on 4G yet when i install same sim card into Note Edge i dont get 4G (Or LTE as its called on phone)
I am wondering if its because the network frequency in Korea is 850/900/1800/2100 and Netherlands is 800/1800/2600??
There is also no option to make it automatically switch between the 2. It only has the option for LTE or 3G.
I am also wanting to know if rooting the phone would enable the access?
Is there a way to root the phone and turn it into the SM-N915Y model for Europe in the hope this will fix the issue?
I am new to this and studying up on rooting phones.
Any help would be appreciated...
i am hearing it is a known issue with the Note Edge across all platforms. I am suffering from the same thing.
I live in south florida, incase this is a regional issue. I have noticed thta my tmo lg g2 service is rediculously sporadic in quality. Some days my service is stellar and with lte all day and others it kicks to 4g which is worthless as it just says 4g but doesn't really connect to anything - most of the time.
I have noticed that even with LTE, I can't talk and surf, which is what I thought being on gsm was supposed to get me.
anyone else with service/signal issues?
Thanks
I am notcing that as I make a call lte turns off and it says just 4g which is pretty slow if it works at all.
