not sure what you mean or looking for....to have the cap of recording calls or just making a voice/sound recording?
What I mean is an app that record phone calls when people call me and I call them.

this is for the people who want to fix volume level. this work with any gingerbread base rom. its working good for me.
Is this the same thing as this? I'm wary of just installing some random file without much information.

You shouldn't need this. If your sig is correct and you still have CM7 use the DSPManager app. It can boost volume for speaker and through headset. I set all my eq. settings to 6.1 and it is loud and not distorted at all.

I'm on CM7 and this works beautifully (I've only tried it for external speaker) on setting 6+. Loud as hell with no distortion!
Volume+ is definitely a trusted app from an awesome developer "Meltus". He's the same one that released the app "Louder volume hack" ages ago. I've used his volume apps since back on my MT3G .
His free app is here if you guys want to read up on it first.
Thank you. Works great on RCMix HD v5.9.7.

Ok I spoke a little too soon. This app doesn't play well with all kernels

What kernel are you using? I'm using this app with Lordmod 4.2 CFS -25mv undervolt, no problems reported here.
I personally notice distortion once I get to about +3 or +4 on my device. I keep it set to +2 and everything sounds great. It even seems to save the settings and re-apply on boot, great stuff!
Hi guys,
Is call recording possible on HTC Sensation?
Could you test please:
- Totall Recall
- CallRecorder (DSoft)
and tell me about quality of recording from both sides?
Cheers

I'm also curious on this as call recording is essential to me and I own Total Recall on Symbian (Nokia E72) and would not move to an Android device that does not fully support it (or anything with similar features, but I know of no alternatives at the time).
Asking the developer would be a good idea, but then again, maybe some of you need to... erhm.... recall some calls...

I got callrecorder on dhd and works perfectly. But my dhd is rooted. Don't know if something change in functionality.
Call recorder widget works, but the recordings are pretty quiet.

Callrecorder requires root to fully function properly. This is one of several reasons I'm waiting for the Sensation to be totally opened up.
I have it on my rooted Samsung vibrant and it records perfectly. Mine isn't an app, it is located in the call screen while I am calling.

Still works without root. Maybe that's why its quiet but still does what its ment to

As I said, to function "properly" it needs root. It obviously functions without root, but not as fully intended.
Results...
Tried Already Total Recall & Call Recorder (DSoft)... (Perma-Temp Rooted HTC Sensation 4G)
Results:
Total Recall -> bit buggy and noisy when recording... (records via mic)
CallRecorder (DSoft) -> clear recording but via mic also... (so... not so loud the "other side" of the conversation)
Nothing even close to CallRecorder (skvalex) on my HTC Inspire 4G...
Nothing new here? any real recording solution?
up ..
this is an essential thing for me ..
anyone found a good recording app for the sensation ??
+ 1
I have tried so many call recording apps but to no avail
All of them are either "speakerphone enabled" or just not recording at all.
I hope after we root our phones we could use a real incall recording.
any news on call recorder now that we have s-off?
I found that when using the hand-free option (or even just the speaker for playing MP3), the sound is crappy. Not sure if related. Are you all happy with the big speaker of the Sensation ?

Nowhere near as loud as old samsungs or nokias i previously owned.
Anyone managed to port the 2-way call recording patch used on Desire HD? It worked flawlessly on DHD, it would be great to have it on Sensation.
No hope at all?
which apps should do it ? please give me 2 or 3 names, and I will test them this after noon. I have upgraded to latest everything ... maybe they will work now with all updates I have. The ones that used to bug or give crapy sound

There's only one posted by avs333, but it's for Desire HD (see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1048182&highlight=call+recording)
All other call recording apps failed to work or the recording quality was very poor.
It worked perfectly on DHD and i was hoping to see a patch for Sensation.

Please, tell me which ones. I will test them occasionally, and check for updates.
From market you can try Total Recall by Killer Mobile or AutoCallRecorder by Roman G. but these apps use the mic to record incoming voice, hence the quality is poor.
The only app that works properly is CallRecorder by Skvalex, but it requires a kernel patch (see app description on market), which brings me to my original question:
On Sensation, is it possible to patch the kernel to include the modifications required by this app?
Guys, I really want to use the video call feature in gtalk or skype but neither works on our phones. Has anyone managed to make either work?
I am running xboarder56's latest gingerbread OTA Rom 1.2.1.
Thanks in advance.

You have to be running a 2.3.4+ rom for gtalk. Not sure about skype.
I'm using cm7 and gtalk video chat works, little buggy, but it works.

It works on 2.3.3 update. Though, uses back cam instead of ffc. Vtok works well and uses ffc with switch bfc and ffc toggle.
Skype video don't work or maybe not yet.
OP, try searching first before posting a redundant topic.

I didn't know it worked at all on 2.3.3, good to know. It fully functions on cm though. Also oovoo works on everything, but the camera ends up sideways.

ive noticed that if u turn off auto-rotate screen in settings then u can turn phone to landscape in Oovoo and u will see them sideways but they will see u rightside up. So inconvience is on u and not them in that case heh

Here is a CallRecorder thread.
Total Recall available from the Play Store is working great with "root_experiential" recording method. It cost a few bucks but its pretty rock solid
Sent from my XT1060 using Tapatalk
Built in with AICP rom dialer and possibly other roms if you run custom roms . Working fine, puts the audio file in call recording folder.
I'm using Easy Voice Recorder Pro https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.digipom.easyvoicerecorder.pro
It's not just a call recorder app but one of the best (subjective) voice and audio recording recording app found on the Play Store which also records calls.

It's been my to go to ROM for months. I have no complaints, also speedy nightly releases.
