Stock Rogers Kernel? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I'm trying to get the stock Rogers kernel to reflash. I have the stock Rogers Rom, would it be in there? If so what image file is it?
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/8264/rogersrom.png
Thanks.

Why are you just flashing the kernel? As far as i understand you have to flash the entire RUU.

Good thread

Its boot-signed.img
You will to fast boot flash it.
You should ask mods to move the thread to Q/A Sub Forum since this is a question and directly related to development.
Hope that helps.

If he is HTC Deve unlocked then he does not need to flash the enitre RUU.
He can fastboot flash it or he can PJxxIMG.ZIP flash it.

Stock Kernel

Hi there.
My Ds is unlocked with htcdev and has s-on...
I did a backup of my stockrom before I installed custom Roms... But: if I want get back to stock I need the original kernel for Ds... So I can flash it via fastboot, because of s-on...
Is there a way to get it anywhere?
Thanks

What you need is an RUU. It really would help if you would take the pains of searching the forum for similar requests before starting nearly identical threads. Helps reduce clutter as well as overhead on the servers.
But here's a link to set you in the right direction: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1547924

Take a look at the link I posted. More important is looking through the sticky threads at the top of forum (look through the DEVELOPMENT section)

hmm... i ask myself: why i need an ruu, when i got a backup of my original system?
I tried to restore it and it works... but because of s-on, 4ext doesnt flash the original boot.img "i think"... becouse it doesnt do that with custom roms too....
am i wrong?
ahm... okay I think I've found something...
this thread:

includes kernel for hboot 2....
would it work if I flash it and run the recovery of my original system?
ain't it dangerous to just try it out?

THIS ONE is newer, faster and better on battery. Also includes rooting tools (to be flashed from recovery).
One malybru quoted is also good, but is GB, one i linked is ICS.
P.S. I'm using it at the moment and am very happy with it (rooted)

Hi,
All I know is that it is very close to stock.
I have never tried it myself.
It will not hurt to try it for yourself.
You can of course flash an RUU of your region and carrier.
This will return your entire phone(including recovery) back to stock.
It will leave you s-0ff.

No, if you still want s-off and root you are better off flashing one of the stock roms.
With ruu you will lose root, custom recovery and other goodies.
BTW, if you have a look under our avatars you will see why we cannot be on T-Mobile US.

Look for shipped roms in development forum. Find one for T-Mobile us, run from windows with phone connected via USB.

RUU stands for ROM Update Utility. It is a utility you run on your computer to flash your device via USB.

If you want stock ICS go with ARHD and never look back. If you want GB stock rooted flash the RUU from that stock builds thread and follow the guide to root.
I'm on the US Sensation.

[Q] Flash Custom ROM

Hi,
Is there any chance of bricking my phone while flashing a custom ROM to it? I have successfully managed to install 4ext as recovery but I want to be 100% sure. Also, would it be possible to load on an I.C.S ROM (I am on 2.3.5 currently, stock ROM) and is possible, what one would you recommend? Or if that is not possible, what ROM would you recommend I put on? Thanks in advance
Phone Details:

Yes messing with your device always carries a possibility of a brick. It is hard task to achieve this but it us possible.
As for the ROMs there are plenty of recent great editions of different Sense and Android versions, so best read some threads, comments, try some of them and pick the one you like the most.
There are a lot of tools to make this fast and easy, such as the Recovery, backup software and Google sync

I would recommend you reading through the posts in the dev section and make your own mind up. Everybody has their favourite ROM, and the debate can get over heated, which is why its best for you to make the decision based on your own findings.

[Q] From custom to stock.

Hey guys im new here.
I have a HOX and i flashed it to CWM 10.2. But I want to go back to my stock rom my cid is HTC_E11 and i have HBOOT 1.72.
But i dont know how i get back to stock could somebody please help me ?
Thanks.
If you just want to be on a stock Sense ROM, just flash a stock rooted ROM from Development.
Or restore the nandroid backup you made before you flashed CM10.2. You did a nandroid, right?

Any ROM you want. Either pick a stock rooted ROM from my Index, or any of the custom ROMs (Sense based, if you want to get back to Sense).

Just pick a ROM from the "CUSTOM ROMs" section, and flash it (stock rooted ROMs are also included at the bottom of that section). No guide should be needed, if you already flashed a ROM before.

Stay in that forum, if you flash anything from here you WILL brick your phone.
